West End Restaurant

Very clean, good old fashioned restaurant and atmosphere. Good wait and kitchen staff. Food was good, no complaints. Looking to return soon. Thanks everyone!

They have the best Chicken Strips in town. Big, crispy, and reasonably priced. I get 3, eat one, and use the other 2 for salads later in the week! Also they have the Best Hot Chocolate in town. It is very creamy, smooth and chocolatey. We get it with whipped cream and cinnamon on top. Worth stopping in just for that.

I'm originally from Decatur and live in Florida now. My brother still lives in Decatur. So, I stop in on the rare occasion that I'm up there.

When I was growing up in the '70's, my Dad would phone in an order for the whole family around 10:30pm each Saturday night. I remember watching Saturday Night Live with Chevy Chase and Dan Akroyd while eating a West End breaded tenderloin sandwich. They are fantastic and haven't changed at all since then!

First timers. The experience was excellent!!! We'll be back! It was quiet, the food was delicious, the pricing was reasonable, and the service was very good. Check them out. You won't be disappointed!!

We had great dinners and pie. The service was excellent. I will be back next time I am in town.

The men from our church meet for breakfast twice a month. I go along but eat by myself. The food is always good. Kathy usually waits on me and she is a very good waitress. Love going there.

Good old fashioned style food served by a friendly, fun bunch of people. (The atmosphere was rated as 4 because no place is perfect but there was nothing missing or out of place) I expected a quaint pub style atmosphere with great food and that's exactly what I found.

Haven't been to the West End for awhile so I decided to treat myself. They did not disappoint. Had the chicken dinner with onion rings. I love their breading, I've never had anything like it anywhere. Definitely worth the half drive to get here!

West End is a very nice place to acquire some grub for the tummy. They have the usual american delicacies. However, they have Cream of Potato Pumpkin Roasted Apple with Bacon soup that is out of this world. In all of our travels througout the USA, Mexico, Central & South America and the Caribbean, we have never come across such a delicious tasty soup.
Aside from the comfort eating nutriments, the staff was more than eager to assist in your choice of food pecularities.
Your are missing out. If you do not visit and engage in comsuming some delectable entries.

Great spot to stop in Decatur. Great breakfast selection. You can not beat the breaded cheese burger for lunch.

The onion rings and fish(cod) were fantastic! Love the breading on both and they are fried too perfection. The service was also fantastic and thank you to our wonderful server for being the best in your birthday!

Went over lunch on a Monday. Place was lively but not overcrowded. Friendly staff and patrons. Enjoyed a talk with the two older gents next to me over a plate of chicken and dumplings that were as good as grandma's (from what I can rememeber)

Food is a value too. I had lunch special, entree side roll and pudding with drink was 10.50

We always enjoy eating here! The fish is my favorite, but we haven't had a bad meal there. Delicious food and friendly staff 😁

Great old fashioned diner. Locally owned. Fantastic flavored food. A lot of the old comfort food.all of it like the old homemade food grandma and grandpa used to make. Large variety of food for all three meals. 1/8/24. I ordered contry fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravey with green beans. I got small portion but it was still a full meal. Then i ordered a small side of gizzards. Oh my gosh they were so light and tender. Great flavor and huge portion. Best gizzards i have had. Definately will go again!!!

You have to try the burgers - amazing! Great hand breaded fish and onion rings as well, and the homemade rhubarb pie was quite the treat. Definitely a must try place!

Go to once a week in evening on Saturday. Cannot seem to serve hot soup. 9 out of 10 times have to send soup back to heat up. Asked for no onions in potatoes and crispy, 7 out of 10 times comes with onions and have to send back. We really enjoy this place and like their food alot. Just certain things need to fix. Have eaten here many years, probably won't stop going.

Literally the best sit down diner I've ever had the liberty of eating at, the foods great the service is great, it's just really good in general.
