We had a great time at this free attraction in Norfork. They had restrooms toward the front of the entrance, which were convenient. They had so many rainbow trout and brown trout to view, varying in size from small to huge! Follow the painted trout on the walkway to enter the visitor center that has an informational wall filled with historical facts and a gift shop filled with shirts, jewelry, toys, coozies, and lots more! They also had $1 bags of fish food. It was fun watching the fish eat as we tossed in food! The staff were great people! We had a great time here and can’t wait to visit again! Check this place out if you are ever in the area.

Y'all this is a must stop..It's free and it's so fun! The trout are so neat to see on all their different growth stages. They have an awesome visitor center and the gentleman running it was so informative and helpful. There is a trout stream that you can fish from if your 16 and under. A lot of times we have been there they have people teaching kids how to fly fish..which is so awesome! They also have a vending machine and clean restrooms. You will not be disappointed in your visit here.

We had a great experience with our kids here! The tour guides weren't available yet since it is just opening up again after COVID. Make sure to bring small bills to buy fish food and they let you feed the fully grown trout.

Just discovered this gem while we had family visiting. The fish are so cool to check out, all different sizes and stages. They even have a vending machine you can pay a quarter for food for the fish, located at the entrance. The bathroom facilities were nice and convenient. Alongside of the hatchery is a beautiful stream where children under 16 can fish for trout. This is catch and release and there are specific guidelines of what can be used for hooks and bait, so make sure to come prepared. All in all a super cool place to stop. We definitely will return.

Love love love this place. Absolutely gorgeous. This place is my Serenity. The trout is beautiful. Great memories. Plus, I love how they have a place just for kids and special needs people to fish. Absolutely beautiful place. (That's an understatement). In one of the pictures you can actually see a trout's head and tail sticking out of the water.

Dont just stop at the hatchery. Walk down to the youth fishing beside this place. This was by far one of the best spots we seen on vacation. Walking the side of the river seeing all the brown and rainbow trout. Awesome

Even though techically none of these species are indigenous to the area, theoretically, it's a great way to share the conservation process. I've been coming here since before I could walk, I learned to fly fish here, and now I'm able to share this with the next generation.

Absolutely loved this place! Great place to take the kids for family time.
Fishing is for children under age 16
in this specific area. Hiking, picnics and photography are highly encouraged. The scenery is amazing.

Best place around the south end of Norfork Lake! Stream is so clear! You can walk down past the wooden decks to a path along the stream and fish or just explore. There are plenty of trout to see or fish. (Catch & Release)

Neat store and visitor information. Joseph taught us a lot about the history and purpose of the place, plus he gave us great fishing tips.

Nice place with restrooms available. Inside and outside fish areas . . . very big place. There were a couple of large waterbirds flying around inside the netting, which was neat to see, but not so much for the birds I'm sure. Lunch wasn't so free for them.
