Judge Schrantz is kind, funny, & laid back. He makes you feel comfortable and talks to you like a regular person. Some judges make it feel very official in there and it can be nerve wracking. But he makes the atmosphere more calm.

Yesterday, I was finally able to adopt my 16-year-old stepson. Today is the first day I feel safe enough to share my harrowing experience with this judge. We never have to step into a Benton County family court ever again. He can never hurt my stepson, my husband, or my family again.

However, he can hurt others. My husband's custody case landed in front of him about ten years ago. It became very clear early on that this judge would see my husband as a bully who had to have his way and needed to be taught a lesson. Judge Schrantz saw himself as just the man to teach him that lesson. Our hell had started. I will not bore you with the details, but suffice it to say, he spent days in jail for paying child support monthly instead of weekly, while my stepmother's son abducted one of her children with another man, cohabitated with a criminal drug user in the presence of my stepson, and freely used drugs.

All evidence regarding her misconduct was ignored, and even when attending court cuffed and dressed in jailhouse orange, she was afforded respect, and we were not. He had judged her to be the victim early on, and that would never change, no matter the proof we had. After she was arrested with enough methamphetamine to land her in jail for months, Judge Schrantz was finally forced to award us custody. This is the day she realized the new counselor that we were now able to appoint would reveal the truth, and chose to never see her son again.

Doug Schrantz never gave us justice, time did. I have heard it said (from trusted sources in legal circles) that a serious motor vehicle accident he was involved in has affected his clear judgment. I am not sure if this is true. What I do know is that he can be stubbornly blind in the face of facts, with a jaundiced eye, delivering the opposite of justice, and being the opposite of fair. My stepson lived in hell for many years because of this. May he retire soon and save other children from the same fate.

Judge Schrantz is bias. He will favor older white adults with privilege instead of actual justice and evidance or hearing the case of the other party. I also noticed during my trial that he would address someone in the audience instead of the people on trial

This self proclaimed god does not belong as a judge! This guy took my non commingled inheritance from my parents that I had for my kids education and gave it to the ex. Even though I had custody of my kids. Then he said their education was for me to deal with. POS! Nothing honorable about this guy.

This judge is sexist and bases decisions upon religious leanings and personal beliefs.
I'm a resident in Los Angeles California and have my "adopted" daughter living in Arkansas. She had a family court case after her daughter was kidnapped (legally). My daughter has never been arrested, charged, or even investigated for a crime. She has never had CPS investigate her. She has never done drugs. She has never hit her child. She has never put her child in a harmful situation... However, her crime of not being married at 17, not having her GED, and being unlicensed, gave Mr. Schrantz the justification to take away her child. He decided the baby was better off being torn away from her mother and placed with grandparents that have raised their own children, one of whom is a sexual predator. Alicia Stevens, raised Randy Stevens, who was convicted of sex crimes against a 7 year old, when he was 15. Randy Stevens also raped my daughter, then only 14, when he was 19... Resulting in her pregnancy with the child that Schrantz gave over to this rapists parents.
I look forward to brining skilled attorneys to Benton County. I look forward to the lawsuits Mr. Schrantz is going to face in the future. I look forward to the ACLU being involved and the media attention that will ultimately be brought to this backwards town. The time for progress and equal rights has long passed and it looks like Benton County forgot to update their court system.

Absolutey sick my brother is on hospice limited days. His ex wife filed a false report with absolute no evidence or proof what so ever. My Brother goes into court terminally ill with dr notes from circle of life signed by a dr. The judge wouldnt allow my brother sumit any legal documentation what so ever. Ruled in the ex wifes favor who had no evidence what so ever. So a innocent dying man left the court room & lost to a woman who allows her current husband to abuse the kids & has a open dhs case on her for neglext od the children by her current husband. The court room of people felt so srry for my brother. Now thanks to the judge for not allowing my brother to show proof of innocence he will die before getting to see his children. Prime example of men get screwed... May this judge be in our prayers.

He is so unfair and not willing to get the bigger picture at all. He is putting my livelihood in jeopardy because of his ruling. I hope karma bites him. People like this should not exist in the real world.
