Southland Casino Hotel

We stopped for a night on our way home from a road trip. Room was great, food at Ignite Steakhouse was fabulous and a real treat for us as we splurged. We did a little slot gambling but not a lot. The staff was so very friendly. I think we will come back if we are in the area. I totally recommend.

We didn't gamble, just stayed for a night on our long way home along with our well-behaved dog.
The front desk staff could have been friendlier and more informative. The woman was brief and seemed very annoyed when I asked any and repeated one of my questions since I didn't hear her initial answer due to the music noise in the lobby. Also, nobody answered when we called the front desk from the room several times.
Overall, we loved the hotel room very much: very safe, spacious, clean, modern, with extremely comfortable beds and pillows and with amazingly appealing and well appointed bathrom. Had my best sleep at night for as long as I can remember. I would definitely stay again at this hotel when in and around Memphis.
PS: If it's not a secret, I'd appreciate someone from the hotel to send me the brand names/product lines of the mattresses and pillows. I'd like to buy the same for my bedroom since I slept so well.

We waited years to go to Southland. We had no idea what we were missing. We had good food that was less expensive than fast food. There were two live bands playing and both were excellent. Staff was great. We felt safe and welcome. I was really surprised at the whole experience. If you haven't been, you are missing out!

Very nice addition. Staff was nice. Separate smoking area. (Needs updated. To look like new part. Food good. I didn't get to stay in the room so I gave it a one.

We came for the crab legs and they were delicious! Service was excellent too. With all the rain and possible storms we booked a room. Our room was big, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Everyone was very nice. Overall it’s a wonderful secure place to eat and stay.

I am a new patron to Southland, and I have enjoyed it, for the most part. As for the property itself, it's very well laid out and nicely appointed. The rooms are on par with the nicer casino hotels I visit. The casino itself is very nice! Brightly lit, all the latest games, and the main casino is smoke-free. They do have a good-sized casino, where you can smoke, as well. It's under the same roof but completely separate from the smoke-free area. Southland offers a lot of fun things to with their rewards programs. Restaurants...a wide variety of options, which is nice. I'm not a big buffet guy, but I actually enjoy theirs. It's an excellent variety and the quality is excellent.

Negatives - I know that you can lose money at casinos, but the slots seem to be pretty tight. I play quite a bit all over the country, and I feel like I am being fair in saying so. Also, they need to work on their kiosks. During busy times, which is often, the kiosks don't work.

I only go for the casino, food and drinks. Very nice place though. And the steak house is top notch. So go in, win a butt load of money and go get yourself a steak and salmon, and enjoy the atmosphere. Good luck!!!

Nice environment with plenty of games to choose from. The playing area was extremely clean and it felt like a very safe place. Would recommend and we will be back ourselves.

Southland Casino has an awesome state of the art facility. The Casino is clean, safe and provides over 90 percent of its main floor as a none smoking area. The total atmosphere is exceptional. Southland Casino is building a reputation of allowing its patrons to play / enjoy themselves and not just lose their money from start to finish. This used to be the overall feelings of most casinos in the area but not anymore. I could say more about this Casino but you need to come and try for yourself. I'm sure you would be just as satisfied as I am. Thanks for this opportunity to share some of my thoughts about Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas.

I really liked it. The buffet was really good. All I could eat crab legs.
The only thing I didn't like was where I come from. In mississippi you can go to the bar and drink for free

They have 2 Main Bars, at one they have a DJ and people are dancing and having a good time, at the other end a Live R&B Band live. What I didn’t like was when I entered Casino, The White Couple did not have to show ID, but I’m Latino&Black, and I had to show ID & he Scanned it, I told him let me know if I have a Warrant?? Go Figure??

I absolutely love the cleanliness of this casino. It’s huge and have a big range of slots to choose from. And it’s non smoking, which is perfect! No more leaving the casino smelling like a you just left a smoke house. Thank you all for the good work out in to make Southland what it is today.

What an amazing, quick, and simple all adult fun get a way! Once you check in, you literally don't have to leave this hotel.

The restaurants have super delicious menus to choose from. The nightly entertainment was outstanding! Downtown Memphis was very accessible. Nightly room rates were favorable!

With the resort so close to Route 40. It was perfect for us. The casino is a true 5 star as is the variety of table games. We won big because we bet big and left thousands ahead. We plan to go back again- such Southern Hospitalit!

If you like see food then this is the place to go. The buffet every saturday has snow crab legs (all you can eat).
The casino is non-smoking, and free drink machine every on corner.

Not my first time at the casino but my first time staying in the hotel and it was worth it. I enjoyed every moment I was there. The room was amazing and the staff was so nice and friendly and helpful. The food was delicious the music was great and the drinks was delicious. I can't wait to go back and do another weekend getaway. Southland Casino is a nice place to go to.

I loved this place before the remodel. Now I would put it up against a lot of places in Vegas. Room I stayed in was clean and modern. If you haven't been, I highly recommend it. Slots for days, live card games & craps, there's something for everyone.

Perfect location if you have business in downtown Memphis. The hotel smells delightful, the beds sleep blissfully, the rooms are large and accommodating! I will stay here as long as it doesn't change. :-)

We didn't stay overnight but my sister has free rooms and said they are really nice! It's a nice spot for a mini vacation from Memphis. The overall new look is beautiful and much needed! The games are super glowy and shiny it can be hard to resist!

The casino was fun and my husband and I had a great night out with dinner and wins. It is a 3 hour drive from where we live so I would like to one time stay a night at the hotel for the next trip.
