Enjoyed a picnic! The park is close to the highway, and provided a scenic detour. Quiet and clean!

What a gem! We drove down from Minnesota to watch the eclipse and it was amazing. Washburn Park was amazing! The trails were great to walk around and explore. Bathroom was helpful although it was able to keep up with everyone there for such a big event. Wish we lived closer and could explore more of the area.

Visited for the 2024 eclipse event.

More parking than expected.

Nice park and facilities with children's slides, etc and broad grass areas to play catch and run amok.

Lots of trees and shade along with sunny areas.

Has views of the large lake.

Connects to a nice trail system through a forest alongside a swampy area with at least one outhouse on the route.

We didn't get to spend a long time there, but we still had a nice short walk among the beautiful trees and rocky outcroppings. They had a lot more paved trails and a playground that I hope we can have time for on our next visit.

Great place to take your dog or family out to walk or run or to have a picnic. Safe, beautiful scenery, very green.

This is a very shaded, nice little get away spot. It has a playground for kids and access to the Bona Dea walking or biking trail.

Great for birthday parties, kids friendly, has an excellent play area. You can walk or ride your bike through the beautifully scenic trails. I've been coming here for years for almost every birthday party or relaxing family outing. I love this park!

Had. My husband's memorial here and it was really nice the only problem we had was we had rented the pavilion and apparently the city told them it was first come first serve.

The view of the lake with boats on it was nice. Good place for a picnic. We visited Sunday and it was slow with just a couple walkers and a family playing on the playground.

We had an unofficial class reunion. It was a beautiful location. The electric hookup kept us in coffee all day

One of the most beautiful spots I’ve been to while traveling across country. No trash around the parking area… very nice and clean. You can go onto the dock and see the water up close. The water goes on forever it seems. Trees are different colors so it looks like someone painted a perfect picture.

Beautiful park, level asphalt walkways except for entrance from parking lot which is moderately steep. Lots of wildlife to watch and several dirt paths to check out.

Picnic tables are well spread out and all have a great view of the lake.

This is a lovely quiet little park, recommended for children age 3-9! I take my 5 year old here regularly and he absolutely loves it. The Parks itself is very clean and tidy. With plentiful playground equipment and lots of space to run, I would highly recommend this park!

A Great park for walking the dog or family walks. Seems very safe. Wonderful paved trails and really interesting natural beauty. So many birds and some strange looking plants too. Have not seen an alligator even though signs warn the public.
