The Butcher Block

I always love going to this meat market. First time having their sandwiches. Great food at a great price. Sandwich, chips and a drink was only $7, and it's huge!

The meats are excellent quality and comparable prices. For what you pay for, you get so much better than what the big box stores could provide. Plus, no hidden Pink Slime in the ground beef, and definitely less fat.
Additionally, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Ran by great people with great deals and prices. Love them. Hope they continue to thrive.

I haven't cooked my steak yet but I'm giving 5 stars based on the service alone and the smell. I walked in and I have never smelt anything sooo good. Nothing was cooking in there but the smell of fresh produce and meat definitely drew me in further. So worth the price. The cuts are beautiful!

I stop in there all the time, grab a sandwich or raw meat to cook later. They truly understand customer service. They all have great attitudes, greet you with a smile. Makes you feel like they are glad you stopped in. Recommend Butcher block to everyone. Stop in you'll see what I'm talking about

This is the cleanest butcher shop in the River Valley. Marty, Sharon , Eddie, and John are all very friendly. The meat is always the best. The Butcher Block has really, really good meat, but they have a lot more than meat. The cozy little shop has tasty cassaroles and difficult to find items like molasses. The owner has a unique ability to remember people's names, even after long absences.

I visit at least 2 times a week get all my meat at this store. They have a lot of good made meals also. I can always find something good here. And the people that work here are just awesome! Just good people who try harder than the rest. Randy McGhee

The Absolute Best Meat Market. I've been doing business with them for 37 years. Marty and Everyone are so friendly and always greet me when I walk through the door.

Hometown butcher Marty has been in business since 1980! You get quality meat every time. Back when it was discovered that some of the massive retailers were using pink slime, Marty said he never has and never will.

If you are trying to save money, make sure to go on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. The days they stock local restaurants are on Tuesday and Wednesday, so they offer specials for other days to drive public walk-in business to less busy times, but they will take care of you ANY day Tuesday thru Saturday (closed Sunday and Monday).

Great selection of fresh beef, pork and chicken. Their prepared meals are also quite delicious.

This is the only place I buy steaks anymore. The people are always friendly and helpful. I've grilled dozens of their steaks and never had a bad one.
