City has lots of history worth visiting.

Avoid downtown Lewes! Parking department needs to make street parking more clear. Street with NO painted lines was apparently a two way street even though everyone was parked in one direction. Got a bogus $60 ticket. Please invest this $60 in some paint for the road. Never coming back to this town even though I liked the downtown.

City of Lewes Parking department is ridiculous! Even in off season they’re issuing tickets! No rules displayed anywhere near or on Second Street! And when asked to explain their off-season parking rules they just referred to the code that nowhere to be found or displayed! Horrible service!

Disappointing city. Parking is expensive and parking staff unfriendly. They even fined my car while I was unpacking. Go to Cape Henlopen State Park instead.

Have been trying to call them about a bonfire permit that I never received! But they were quick to charge me for it.
