MUST VISIT. Theresa was an incredible host and chef. She hosts only a few families an evening and we were so lucky to experience it. Wow, incredible evening and culinary adventure. We will be back soon! Every bite was 10/10.

Teresa’s Cafe Avellino is a fantastic spot for some authentic Italian food in the North Shore area. We visited on a gloomy Sunday but the food and drinks served just changed the whole atmosphere. The pasta was incredible, the lemon drop style martini incredible, the cannoli incredible. I mean seriously, you have to go there. Don’t go by the size of the cafe but go for the food and the amazing service by Teresa. If you’re smart enough, you’ll get your date to this place. It’s a hidden gem!

Small intimate cafe, great for coffee and dessert. They also do a multi course tasting delicious. Great for couples and small groups. The food made here, is made with love and passion for food and family. I look forward to warmer weather for outdoor dining.

We sincerely and tenderly love Teresa and her cafe. The food is so delicious, that it’s almost cathartic, we’re practically obsessed with it. But what is even more important is Teresa herself- always welcoming, passionate about her guests and their experience, and so heartwarming. Just look at this special gift for a cat that she made when she heard that I’m heading to a cats birthday party! Everyone deserves a cannoli, so she made one for the cat. So cute 🥰🥰

Amazing food for vegans like me and non vegans alike. Delicious, fresh pasta and cheese and veggies and cannoli!! And really good vegan wine too 😋 my go to Italian place on the North Shore. Teresa is so kind and truly knows her food. Never had an improv meal before this…very cool concept and I will be coming back again and again

Teresa is an incredible personality that made us two tourists feel very welcome and that was before we even got any food. The food was amazing, maybe the best French toast I’ve ever had. Get it or you’ll regret not getting it.

A Cozy little Cafe by the sea... Great Service and Matcha Tea 🍵 and Fresh Baked Goods 👍 Definitely can not fit 50 people in here lol hahaha but it is a great spot for small families within walking distance from the beach. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Great job and really great Matcha Tea 🍵 😋

Outstanding! Zucchini flowers & pasta puttanesca with homemade olive garlic bread. Vegan, of course. Outside cafe dining or takeout. Always 5 stars.

Cute little cafe! They rerouted the sidewalk path so they could have outdoor seating. All the cement barriers are painted with murals. Very amazing cappuccino, I'll be back.

It's possibly the best cannoli I have ever had plus 5 minutes from the beach! Really you should get Italian food from real Italians. The owner told me he was from China with a smile and Italian accent. Great prices too.

Extremely kind staff and the food was excellent. This is a great place to sit down for a meal or grab a quick bite to eat.

Teresa and her staff are the best. This is more of a dining experience than a dinner! Teresa and her staff make you whatever they have in their kitchen that night but it's always terrific! Been here 3-4 times and it's always a huge hit!

Atmosphere, drinks, food were all outstanding. Teresa is wonderful - she can do it all. Sit back, relax & enjoy. This is not a place rushing you out, so be prepared to take some time and be there a while.

Came hungry, emotional and in need of food, which I had been finding difficult to get. I am gluten free and vegetarian. I was treated so well here, gluten free toast with avocado (it's the simple things). I was then offered beans on top which I so need for some protein. Apparently they even do vegan cannoli. I can now continue my travels happy.

Amazing experience!! The staff are so welcoming and they were able to seat 6 of us together. We were all between a few options and they gave us the idea of eating family style with a huge order of eggs, avocado toast and an omlete. They made sure we were comfortable and liked our order. Throughout, this was such a great local experience. We definitely will come back when we're in the area and I'll recommend friends and family here!

I cannot say enough about this incredible restaurant. My group of six went there for breakfast one day while we were on vacation and really enjoyed the food and the conversation with Teresa. When I said I was gluten-free and had problems finding good gluten-free pasta in the US, she told us to come back for dinner and call ahead and she would make me gluten-free pasta.

We went back (she set aside a table for us and made the gluten-free pasta just like she said she would) and had the most amazing dinner experience. Teresa is so kind and accommodating and fun and wonderful, and her staff is also lovely and dedicated to good service. She treated us to a wonderful multi-course dinner experience, all curated by her -- we were told not to look at the menu, and she was completely spot on with everything she made for us. Everything she brought out was incredible, and I got to enjoy some of the best gluten-free pasta and bread I've had.

We stayed for hours and had the most beautiful night. We really felt at home there, and we often talk about how much we want to travel back to Swampscott specifically to come back to this restaurant! I truly hope we get to visit again someday.

If you're in Swampscott - or honestly anywhere near it, from Boston to Salem - I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant. It's such a special experience and you will not regret it.

My family and I ate here tonight, and we had a great experience. Theresa was very personable and comedic. She creates a fun and relaxed atmosphere, while serving delicious food. The food was family style, and she brought us two appetizers and an entree of her choice. There was no complaining from us! The food was delicious, and we left happy. We would all recommend checking this place out!

The best Italian dinner I’ve had in the US. The portions, presentation, seasoning, everything about the food was great. Also, the staff and Teresa make you feel very welcome there. And the price is affordable too! My sister and niece also loved eating there.
