Oakland Ave Pizza & Subs

I was in Twaithes across the street the other day and decided to go in on a whim. I saw the sign saying they had Caribbean food, and wanted to get some empanadas and tostones. The owner insisted I try some of the other food they had, and man was I glad I did. I didn't want to just take free food from him, but I couldn't resist. My kids raved about the rice and beans, and he also gave me some sort of slow cooked ribs. Holy hawk were they good. I grew up in Methuen, (went to Oakland Ave elementary school) but don't live that close anymore. Regardless, I'll be back, and I highly recommend the Caribbean food options. So good.

Got a plain large cheese pizza. It's delicious; right amount of sauce, bread and cheese. Gonna be my new go to pizza place in the area.

Tremendous food, large portions, incredibly nice staff but the best part of going to Oakland Ave. Pizza was spending my money in a restaurant that constantly supports our homeless population in Lawrence. God Bless 🙌

Best calzones in town!! Great prices and friendly staff plus it feels great supporting a local business. Definitely recommend. Try the buffalo chicken calzone!!

I read most of the reviews and I can definitely say, that the young lady who took my order was very professional. My order was mistakenly done and when I called they were quick to redo my order and very apologetic, I will definitely order from here again and I will refer my friend and family. Anyone can make a mistake, it's how you deal with the person on the other side, again very professional and that means alot to a customer..

This place makes the BEST calzone in the world. Been going here for almost 10 years and the quality is always consistent. You must try their buffalo chicken calzone. It will change your life.

I have ordered numerous items on the menu and each time I order something, it's the best I've had! Everything is truly amazing and I continue to order because it just is. The large calzone is the size of a large pizza filled with whatever you are ordering and the small is a half size of a pizza and is filling and delicious! I've ordered so many items and can't say enough good about them. Give them a try and don't judge by what we say cause you deserve to try them out to have your own opinion. They're so good that if you don't, you're missing out. If someone gives a bad review out of anger then it's not a good review. If you have a problem with something then explain everything like you calling and what they say and did to help or didn't help. > Don't know the ppl here but make a call and try them out at least once, they really are that good and if you don't like them then you made your choice because of your opinion and not others. Not everyone has a good review and I believe that ppl should try everything and make their own judgment not listening to others unless it's just everyone saying something is wrong then you listen of course. Taking a quick vacation and came across this spot. While I enjoyed the pizza alot here...the garlic bread and sauce stood out most to me. The garlic bread that I ordered was cooked but somehow soft at the same time; it was excellent. Great spot that is worth checking out!

This place has the best steak & cheese subs. Their cheeseburger basket is amazing. The fish n chips is amazing as well. They are nice and very professional. The price is kinda high but it's worth the quality and the customer service

This was my first time ordering as I just moved to the area. I honestly tried it because I had a Groupon. But I am very glad I did. The food was fresh and delicious. Steak tips tender and cooked perfectly. Food delivered right on time with a very polite driver who called when he arrived. I am looking forward to trying more items on the menu 😋

Best food I've tasted around here. Everything ive tried Oakland ave is super good, tasty,fresh, tender, seasoned perfectly! They have Spanish food as well and everything is in good amounts. I get 2 meals and prices are really good! I can't say enough good about them. The meat is so tender that you can cut it with a butter knife. Wont order from anyone else.

Went in for an Uber Eats pickup. Would not have stopped here previously. Ordered fries and some off the shelf items for my Uber eats partner and I. Fries were tasty and made very quickly. Selection of drinks and chips were appreciated. Cashier was very polite. Looking forward to ordering more in the future.

A-Z outstanding! I called stressed w/ a last min hand full of over 25 guest, on the same day needed 😱 1st employee who answered tried planning & wanted to help me out, her customer service; amazing! The owner followed up not only came up with a better menu than I planned, promised satisfaction, was extremely patient with me & hit it out the park with the adults, children & teens! HIGHLY RECOMMEND we had the pleasure of enjoying Pizza, chicken & broccoli Alfredo & wings! Thanks again all!

Very friendly and kind staff. The food is so so good. Their calzones are one of a kind seriously the best in the area! Their pasta is always very tasty and I love that they are consistent with quality food with every order. Even year after year! Thank you guys your restaurant is def my family's favorite!

I'm going to break this place down one thing at a time:

Food: I have never had something off this menu that wasn't phenomenal. From the calzones and italian subs to the stir fry wraps and cajun alfredo, this place is on point. Best seasoned food I've had in this area.

Price: New England is expensive, but this place manages to deliver good food without you needing to ask your bank for a loan.

Staff: Not once have I received bad customer service. The only time they've messed up my order was putting steak in the wrap instead of chicken, but I'd like to think they knew what was best for me so I'll give them a pass. Did I mention the steak was super good? The owner is up front about business, letting you know when and why there are menu or price changes.

Summary: Eat at this place.

Best pizza I’ve had in the Merrimack Valley so far! Quick service for pick up! The Dominican cook is also great and flavorful!
