Fireside Restaurant

Nice little resteraunt with a big bar , I've gotten take out and I've dined in , the Philly cheesesteak was great and the steak tips were very flavorful, staff was very friendly.

I have no complaints. Our food was hot and very good. The waitstaff was attentive at just the right pace we needed her. We had... tuna club, sweet potato fries, fried clams, French onion soup, and the mozzarella for an appetizer.

Very tasty food dishes with an excellent variety of comfort food choices and excellent servers!

Large group went for holiday dinner. Server was quick and responsive. Food was good basic dishes...orders were mostly steak tips, haddock, and hot sandwiches. Regular and waffle Fries delish, stuffed mushrooms good (only 4 on plate though). MR steak tips were more like medium but not dry. Chk piccata and french onion soup were good.

Food is always consistently good. Service always is great. It is a townie bar but a great spot to go. Good prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays as well.

So glad I stopped here. This place is just awesome! The local vibe and energy of everyone is just amazing. The entertainment of the DJ and the crowd is so fun. What a treasure. Kevin was vey inviting I made everyone feel like they belonged here.

Searched for a quick lunch stop leaving Logan airport headed to New Hampshire. Found this GEM… easy off easy on the Highway. Food was remarkable! Chowder and fried clams were fantastic! Couldn’t ask for better service…friendly, fast!!!.

Daily special was buffalo shrimp Caesar salad. Fancy drinks special was a Cadbury egg Martini

A really good time great food good service gets busy reservations recommended....enjoy the outdoor seating and the renovations look great!

Delicious food excellent service. Wait staff are very friendly. Jennie was a wonderful server. Large portions as a very reasonable price. We will be back!

My family and I had dinner tonight and the food was amazing. We had baked haddock, chicken piccata, chicken scampi, chicken Alfredo and an appetizer. The service was amazing and they went out of their way to make sure our experience was a positive one. I can not recommend this restaurant enough. The desserts were especially nice, apple crisp and strawberry shortcake! We had our two year old with us and they made sure she was entertained also. We’ll definitely be back :)

Food was good, no one had complaints. Service was friendly and communicated any issues. Went on Saturday afternoon so not busy. The decor is really nice too.

My husband (who is quite a chef in his own right--so picky) and I just need to rave about the chef--Olman! We ordered mussels for an appetizer, and truly they were delectable--the broth so flavorful, I was sipping spoonfuls until I asked for more garlic bread so I could get every last drop. (The garlic bread was delicious--plenty of garlic/butter on slightly crusty bread.) We've been there when the special appetizer of the day was grilled brussel sprouts--not kidding one time we just ordered three platefuls for our meal, they were that tasty. They were done in oil with bacon--crispy and easy to eat as the chef broke up the sprouts, requiring no knife.
Oh, and the side of mixed vegetables was not your average side of mixed vegatbles. They were grilled with oil and garlic --onions, garlic, carrots, greenbeans. I am fussy about Ceasar salads and Olmand did NOT disappoint--it was just perfect! My husband's raved about the prime rib, steak tips, and the grilled chicken. All fare is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is welcoming and non-rushing. Just can't say enough!

I thought I could do two separate reviews, but I can't. I thought Laura, the bartender deserved her own review! But suffice it to say, Laura was, despite the busyness of the night, always prompt with any request; checked in often making sure we were all set; and smiled just about the entire time! She was personable and warm, as she efficiently and skillfully attended to the entire bar. When we asked Laura who the chef was because we were so impressed, she went and got him. Clearly, the Fireside folk operate as a well-oiled team. She was proud to introduce us to him! Absolutely wonderful, wonderful service!

Always upbeat, food is great, drinks are perfect..

I just visited here for the first time with my family earlier tonight for dinner. We have two young children (3 and almost 1). There was no wait for us on a Saturday night at 5:45. But very shortly after that there was many waiting to be seated. They had a high chair available for our baby. The restaurant was completely full, so I expected to wait a bit for our food. We did wait a bit, but it was all totally worth it. Our kids were very patient. We had the blackened salmon and country fried chicken dinners. My 3 year old had the kid’s mac n’ cheese.
ALL of the food was SO good. I also had the clam chowder with my meal and it was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The kid’s menu mac n’ cheese was a pretty generous portion and was also very tasty. I unfortunately didn’t catch our waitress’s name, but she was very friendly, down to earth and accommodating despite how busy it was. The hostesses and other waitresses buzzing around were also very friendly. Clean and nicely decorated restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Would recommend to friends and family and family with young ones.

Exceeded expectations! I was staying at a Days Inn and just wanted to grab a quick bite to eat for dinner at a nearby restaurant. An Outback and the Fireside restaurant were the two closest places so I opted for the local spot, tired of national chains. So glad I did! I picked one of the daily specials, haddock Florentine, for my main entrée and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Both delicious!! If I knew they were going to taste so good I would’ve taken some pics before I finished them off. Also, the waiter (maybe Kevin, that was the name on my very reasonable bill) was definitely the best I’ve had since pre-pandemic days. He was not only very attentive to me but also seemed to cover more area than any 3 waiters I’ve seen at other restaurants. Great job Kevin!

My first time here. The service was very quick, the food was fantastic, the staff were all friendly, and the atmosphere was great! Will definitely go here again and highly recommend everyone give it a try!
