Delicious appetizers, friendly staff and a nice selection of board games. Not too busy yet as they are really just getting the in person business going. We had a great time and will definitely be back soon.

Had a burger, I want another one now. I even finished my wife's burger and I don't do that ever, sure did do it here. Haven't had any other food besides the fries which were equally as awesome. Met one of the owners and what a great guy. Board games for the whole family and what a cozy atmosphere. Enjoy your time with family and friends and have a great meal with it.....ENJOY

The truffle fries were perfect - every bite had a perfect amount of truffle flavor and they were crispy! The fried cheese sticks were AMAZING - best I've ever had. The burger was so good I couldn't put it down and wished I had the appetite to go back for another one!

Avalon has THE BEST gluten-free chicken tenders I've ever had in my 11 years since being diagnosed with celiac disease. PLUS they don't use corn ingredients for the tenders, which is great because I'm also allergic to corn. I've also enjoyed their crispy chicken sandwich, brisket burger, sesame slaw, and truffle fries. They offer gluten-free buns (also corn-free!), which are the absolute best gluten-free buns I've ever had; I seriously doubted they were gluten-free at first, but I have never gotten sick after eating here.

It is apparent that they're a small business--the dining room is still somewhat of a work-in-progress and the days/hours they are open are still limited--but to their credit, they managed to open a new restaurant in the middle of a pandemic despite restrictions on indoor dining and staffing shortages. The staff are very friendly and accomodating; I always feel welcome and valued as a customer.

If you've been looking for a great place to take your gluten-free friends, this is a must-try. Bonus points for being right around the corner from Gateway City Arts (and right next to Cannaprovisions, if you're into that kind of thing wink wink).

I can't believe it took me this long to go here. The food is absolutely amazing. Literally such a gem in Holyoke. We got a sampling of food to try and I'm so impressed with all of it. The brisket burger and the mac and cheese are absolutely to die for. Just make sure you get the candied bacon! Can't wait for board game nights whenever COVID finally ends. Please support this local business! You won't be disappointed!

The food was delicious and service was great! The outdoor seating was very nice. Another vote for the excellent truffle fries! I also got a panini and it had plenty of mozzarella and juicy yet firm tomatoes. I am excited for the games when it is safe for that part of the restaurant to open. As it is, I highly recommend Avalon Lounge and Game Cafe!

We ate here yesterday and enjoyed some delicious brisket tacos with sesame cabbage slaw and the brisket burger (ground in-house) with hand cut French fries. Everything is made from scratch, made to order & tasted amazing! Ate outside on Avalon’s nice, private patio & had it all to ourselves! Great spot in Holyoke!

Girlfriend and I really enjoyed our lunch here today. The Medianoche Cuban sandwich special had tons of flavor, the Brisket Burger was cooked perfectly and easily the BEST truffle fries we’ve ever had. Excited to go back and check out the game selection once they’re fully opened up!

The food was SO GOOD and well priced, plus their games selection is great! I got the crispy chicken tacos and not only do they make their own crispy chicken, but they make the potato chips they bread the chicken in! Can't wait to come back :)

We got take away on their opening day, and they have a great no-contact set up! Everything was delicious, and best of all their fryer is 100% gluten free! I hadn’t had cheese sticks in forever, it was so exciting.

Extremely high quality food prepared with only fresh ingredients. I particularly recommend the Brisket Burger and the Carne Asada Street Tacos. The burger is the best in the valley and the bun is baked in house. The tacos are superb. They remind me of Carne Asada I used to eat in Morelia, Mexico. Superb. Other highlights are the Fried Cheese Sticks (Fontina instead of Mozzarella is a nice touch) and the Bao Bun.

I've been looking forward to Avalon opening for a while. Unfortunately the circumstances prevent us from enjoying the "game" aspect of this game cafe, but I can attest that the food on offer for pickup is delicious. We've been particularly enamored of the Bao Buns, which have an almost bahn mi flavor profile on a delightful steamed bun. Definitely recommend you check this place out.

The best spot! We had a wonderful time at Avalon lounge and game cafe!! When we were there we were the only people there! I couldn’t believe it! The game selection was so fun and the food is seriously incredible! I got the caprese panini and it’s out of this world! The quality is amazing!! I cannot wait to come back!

Good coffee, great food, friendly staff and a nice selection of games. Can't beat it. I visited for the first time tonight with friends. Nice to see a new place like this open up. The Wauregon complex itself is pretty neat. We'll visit again!

I've had almost everything on the menu and this place is AMAZING. Stand-outs are the cheese-sticks, the tofu bao buns and anything that has the candied bacon on it, but seriously, it's ALL DELICIOUS.

Exceptional food!!! I LOVE the hamburger! I can’t wait until they are open for dining in (post COVID). Until then we’ll be getting a bunch of take-out! I highly recommend.

Carne asada tacos and sweet greens salad were excellent! Outdoor seating was pleasant, and the wait staff was friendly. Definitely worth visiting.

Absolutely delicious food! We had a salad, bao and lobster roll and I can’t say which we liked best. We will be back, and can’t wait to go in when we can!
