Olympia Restaurant

I ordered a chicken gyro with rice for take out for lunch , you can always tell when an owner/restaurant really takes pride in the food they put out to customers, this was hands down the best gyro I've ever had it was phenomenal, the pita bread was so soft chicken was cooked perfectly it was so good and I was honestly sad when I finished it lol. The only thing I will say is if your ordering take out they don't have bottles/cans to go but they accommodated me with a plastic cup with a coke to go. The seating area was big and the bar was decent sized and it was very clean, definitely a place I'd come back to and have dinner with my wife.

I was a little skeptical at first because I'm Greek and I'm very picky about my Greek food. I was amazed at how close their food was to our families Greek food. They started off by bringing a basket of bread which no restaurant does anymore which was delicious. Then we ordered drinks. I had a pineapple sea breeze with raspberry stoli. Very good! Then I ordered the avgolemono soup, (Egg and lemon soup), which was perfect! I ate every last drop! We all ordered the small combination plate but since I'm not a fan of Moussaka or spinach pie, they let me replace those with extra meatballs and extra Dolmathes along with Pasticho. The meatballs were out of this world and very similar to my dads. The Dolmathes were good too but because they use 3 meats they were different than I'm used to along with lemon sauce. They were very good too! Now the pasticho was fantastic and I wanted to save some for leftovers but I just kept eating it until i couldn't eat it anymore. Fantastic food all around! Our waitress Alicia, I believe that's her name, was outstanding. She was very friendly and accommodating while being the only waitress with 10 tables with 8 that were full!
I then had a sip of my friends mavrodafni, so had after to order an after dinner wine mavrodafni along with my huge piece of baklava. No offence but mine is better. LOL
This may sound funny but the nuts were too big and got stuck in my teeth but the taste was just right! LOL I usually grind the walnuts finer so they get don't stuck in your teeth. 😁
Overall, our whole experience was wonderful and we will definitely be back for more! Kudos to the Italian chef and all of the staff who made our visit to Olympia Restaurant great experience!

I have been a customer for over 55 years. Best Greek food..bar none... I live in New Hampshire and drive down a couple times a month. If you haven't eaten at the Olympia you haven't had the best Greek cuisine in all of New England!!! AAAAA++++++

Our favorite Greek restaurant in Lowell. We look forward to stop here every year and it has never changed, always great. We love the Tuesday chicken special and meatballs with pasta.

I grew up dating my wife and dining here close to 50 years. It is our default restaurant. That is not a derogatory term as we live in Lowell and we know what we like. We eat there probably 4-5 times per year. Wife orders baked lamb and I get the Lamb shoulder with garnish accompanied with a Gin Martini. As we are older we go early. Went there and as always it was excellent. Waitress (not server) was great . As my wife and I are older now there are wonderful leftovers for lunch.

Great food and the portions are very generous. I'm stuffed.

The food we ordered was delicious and the service was outstanding. My husband and I would highly recommend The Olympia and cannot wait to go back ourselves.

I hosted a company party at the Olympia and the service was wonderful! They even stayed open late since we were having so much fun and wanted dessert. I appreciate how well they handled our large group. The pita and taziki was amazing as were the chicken wing and pretty much everything.

First time at the Olympia Restaurant. The food and service were top shelf. Marietta, our server, was very helpful in explaining the menu items and Greek wine selection. The restaurant is small, but, cozy. We've added the Olympia to our list of favorite restaurants in the greater Lowell area.

My family has been on the hunt for an authentic Greek restaurant since Athens closed in Manchester NH. The food here was excellent and the waitress was great. We had the baked lamb, greek sausage, calamari as well as dessert. Well worth the ride to Lowell.

If you are looking for the best baked lamb around then this is the spot to get it. The lamb falls off the bone and is so tender. The rice and potato that come with it are just as delicious. I always get a little extra sauce when I order it. Portion is perfect to eat some and have leftovers for later

We had a gentleman serve us last night that truly was the most efficient waiter we've ever experienced. We didn't catch his name but he was the best

We are there after going to the folk festival. Our server was kind and explained the menu.

I had the breast of chicken with just potato. I don't order the rice because it soaks up all the delicious red sauce that the potatoes are cooked in. Chicken was tender and juicy and had a crispy skin. Husband had grilled lamb chops and they were excellent

My first time having baked lamb and it's been a week and it's all I can think about still. Great atmosphere. Really good with covid precautions. But honestly let the food do the talking.

Ordered Lamb Kebab with Egg Rice Soup, Greek rice and potatoes as a lunch meal. Price was only $17 and total bill for two only came to $40. Meal was tremendous.

Staff was wonderful, they adhered entirely to covid standards and still were able to maintain a socially engaging atmosphere.

The best dining experience that I have ever had. The food was a culinary journey that was worth taking. Every bite exploded with flavor and made me excited for the next. The atmosphere, service and the staff's attention to every detail made the entire experience. I look forward to checking the future menu as the seasons change.

I don't live near the restaurant anymore so the last time I went was 6 years ago. The food is still great! Went there on Easter. Great friendly service. There still my go to for Greek food when I'm in Lowell.
