Bluewater Bar + Grill

The service at Bluewater is phenomenal! The staff was amazing. We were able to bring our dog and sit on the patio. They brought out a water bowl for our dog, and then even came out to ask us if they could make a little meal for our dog!! We loved how they went above and beyond to offer a wonderful customer experience. And then to add on top of that how AMAZING the food was! The bread, the fish, etc. all great! My husband and I both decided that Bluewater is our new go-to spot. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Had a great experience here. My partner and I were excited to try the vegan menu - which was wonderful. Had the Buddha Bowl, Eggplant Napoleon, and Baked Ziti.
All fantastic. I am looking forward to coming back here with non-vegan friends and family.
The mocktails and beignets were excellent. Also lovely location, (we ate on the patio) and helpful and attentive staff.

The team at Bluewater went above and beyond to accommodate our wedding dinner and cocktail reception. Steve was with us every step of planning, Chef Cara killed the menu and left our guests full and happy, Courtney took care of every need we could have imagined day of, and bartender Derek kept the drinks flowing. I have never had the privilege of working with such a professional and thoughtful team. They were all stars bringing our intimate vision to life. I literally don’t have words to express my gratitude. We will never forget how they took care of us and our family and friends for our special day.

UPDATE 8.19.23: We came back for a second go around and boy are we glad we did. It was a busy night and the kitchen was a smidge backed up but that did not deter from the amazing experience we had. My husband had the Bone-in Pork Chop again and it did not disappoint. He usually gets a doggie bag when we go out but his plate was wiped clean tonight. I had the Salmon and it was cooked to perfection. The sauce/gravy that accompanies it with the potatoes, green beans and tomatoes was so delectable. I sopped up any extra gravy with my bread. We accompanied our meals with the Blueberry Mule & the Strawberry Rose Fizz. Margaret served us this evening and she was excellent. She gave us water right away and after we ordered and she brought our drinks, she let us know the kitchen was a little backed up. She continued to check on us and provided exceptional service. I've updated my review to reflect my most recent experience and I'm sure the experiences that will come in the future. (Pics from this visit)

The food was amazing and the chef deserves 5 stars. I had the Al Pastor Cauliflower Taco on the vegan menu & my husband got the pork chop. The tacos were full of flavor and the pork chop was thick and juicy. The live music was such a pleasant surprise & the performer was extremely enjoyable. They only got 3 stars because of the service. Nicole M. only approached our table twice, once to take the order and once at the end to give the bill. I finished my delicious Strawberry Rosé Fizz after enjoying our calamari appetizer but Nicole never asked if I wanted another drink. We watched her continue to check on the table she had directly across from us, walk completely by us even though we tried to make eye contact, and proceeded to check on another table. This restaurant is definitely worth the visit for the food and atmosphere. Also the other servers seemed super attentive to their tables. Im not sure if our server was new or distracted but it was super disappointing when everything else was so wonderful.

Stoping at Bluewater Bar + Grill for a short lunch during our bike ride was a great idea. We enjoyed eating each one of their fresh and delicious salads (Pear and Arugula, Tropical Quinoa bowl). Large plates with great flavors. Bypassing the desserts would have been a mistake, both the Ghiradelli (chocolate) Brownie Sundae and the beignets were terrific. Reasonable prices, affable staff, a lovely deck, an overall great experience.

I held my wedding rehearsal dinner here in June for 35 people. Steve was great and helped us come up with a menu and timeline for the evening which went very smoothly. We were sat in the back side of the restaurants so it was semi private and we were able to walk around and mingle amongst ourselves. We had appetizers followed by a plated dinner and dessert. The food and drinks were phenomenal. The servers for our party were extremely attentive, kind and efficient. Everyone left very happy and full. I can not recommend this restaurant enough! it is a wonderful spot for a night out or small event.

If you are looking to hold a private event I would highly recommend Blue Water Grill. The atmosphere and restaurant decor are on point. Steve the event manager was a pleasure to work with and accommodating of all my menu needs. The food was delicious and our event waitress Courtney was spectacular. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! We will definitely be back soon.

Was treated to dinner for our 40th anniversary by our niece and nephew.
It was such a pleasant surprise as we didn't know where they were taking us. The food and the service were absolutely perfect. Unfortunately a large party (maybe 10 people) we seated across the room from us, with lots of getting up and down to see others at the other end of the table, and the group was kinda noisy, only because it was such a large group. The beginning of our dinner was really nice, but I do have to give a less than excellent score for the atmosphere.
I would definitely recommend your place to others, but I would try not to be seated near any large distracting groups.

The New England Clam Chowder here is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere and staff are always wonderful and food is perfect!

I'd give Bluewater Bar & Grill TEN stars if I could. The food was fabulous from start to finish and the servers were too. I had cod with veggies and roasted potatoes and the fish was absolutely the best I have EVER had in my life. A caesar salad was large and fresh and the strawberry shortcake was made with an individual biscuit, crispy and warm. And you get a good pour on the wine. Don't ever drive past this place!

I was a guest at a retirement lunch party and we had a terrific time on the patio. The menu and wine list were refreshingly unique from many RI waterside restaurants and everyone in the party was pleased with their choices, vegan or no. The food was well executed and the server delivered our meals graciously and in good time. Charming location and Great hospitality from everyone there!

Tonight I had the Buttered Salmon and it was excellent. My wife had the Spicy Chickpea Bowl. The food and service was fantastic. Great Job.

Margaret was fantastic! She recommended some great dishes and was very helpful for me and my family. She is incredibly friendly and kind too! Clam chowder is one of the best in the state and blueberry lemonade is a must. 5 stars!

My timing has always been off when trying to go to Blue water, so I've never eaten here - until today.
We sat outside in the sunny, uncovered section of the patio. Staff were very accommodating and service was great. I loved that there were real vegan options, not just an after thought.
The food was fantastic. The tuna tostada app was amazing. The summer Buddha bowl was so good. I added falafel as a protein and it was huge. I couldn't stop eating it and I was stuffed when I left.
The restaurant sits across the street from Barrington yacht club. However, from outdoor seating you don't really have a true water view, but it's still nice. If you've never been, make it your business to go soon.

This is my favorite place to have a meal outside of my home.
I bring family members here all the time and they love it too.
Their chef caters to meat eaters AND vegans with the same attention to detail.
Every meal here is absolutely amazing and the prices are as if the inflation crisis never happened!!!

How can they be so consistently good?
I don't know, but I love the fact that they are.

If I could give them 6/5 stars, I would.

Do yourself a favor and come down next to the yacht club in Bristol for a really nice meal by the water. They might even have someone playing music outside on a Friday or Saturday as well.

Found this place based on reviews and photos and it was so worth it. Great venue in a RI boat yard. Food, service and atmosphere were all outstanding. Our server Nikki was awesome. Definitely save room for dessert 😋

This place is a local gem and great place to have in town, but is also well worth travelling to. It's simple to write a review for a one-off great experience at a restaurant on their best day, but we've been here dozens of time and this review is for the many months of consistently rewarding visits.

They are hospitable and welcoming, their menu varies seasonally, the dishes use quality ingredients and are expertly prepared, and the service makes it easy to tip generously. They regularly have a steady stream of customers, but always find a way to get us seated in short order. Plenty of tables in the dining room but, if you catch a nice day/evening, their outside dining is certainly pleasurable as the sun sets.

Now all they need to do is bring back the Buddha Bowl for us plant eaters so I can add a sixth star!

EDIT: they now have an entire vegan menu with excellent options, thanks to the new chef... well done.

If you haven't been here before, just go -- you won't be disappointed.

The food is always delicious. I've eaten here many times and always consistently delicious. Can get busy at times online reservations is a good idea.
