City Walk of Owensboro

We visit Owensboro a few times each summer but had never been here until tonight. Definitely will be adding this as a regular stop to eat when in town. The place is small but the decor and walls are so cool. The food was amazing and the margarita was by far the best I’ve ever had. My pecan crusted chicken was soooo good and the sweet potato mash was excellent!! Everyone was super kind from the time we walked in until we left.

What a nice little local restaurant. The food and service was outstanding!

I tried the buffalo chicken wrap and the green beans. Probably the best tasting green beans I have ever had.

The cobbler today was Strawberry. Not quite a flavor for cobbler I would expect, but we were delightfully surprised!! Be sure to ask for it!

This was our first time eating here. It was a wonderful experience, the at.osphere was nice, music enjoyable
Our food was delicious cooked perfect. I tried the pecan maple crushed chicken with sweet potatoes mash and baked Mac n cheese. We will definitely be back again.

Showed up around noon on a Saturday and with my kiddos l, wife and mom City Walk was about half filled with patrons.
Loved the atmosphere and vibe City Walk gives.
We were quickly greeted and once our table was clean we made our way to our table and shortly was welcomed by Keelee.
We made a little small talk and she took our drink order. About 5 minutes Keelee came back with our drinks and we talked about what food to have for lunch.
Our lunch arrived within 15 min.
We decided on Roast Beef Manhatten,Big City Burger, Pork Tenderloin, Chicken Ranch Flatbread and Southern Fried Catfish.
1st thing to notice was the servings were HUGE !!

We had zero complaints on the food, every bite we had was scrumptious!

The only thing we talked about was to bad you didnt have a rankon of Glaze to dip the tenderloin in would have made it a great addition but if we asked I'm sure our server would have brought us some...we just didn't think about it until it was our last bite.

Let's not forget about Keelee our server, great personality and attentiveness.She took care of our table from the smallest thing to my kids what they thought they needed.

Stop in for lunch ask for Keelee..you'll have no disappointment in City Walk.

Next time we're in town this will be our stop for lunch..just might have to arrive later in the evening to grab dinner!

Friendly folk and great fare, how can you go wrong! Let your palate lead the way at this quaint restaurant in the heart of Owensboro! And do yourself a favor and add asparagus to your platter.... it is spiced to perfection. 🥰

Holy wow! Definitely going to come back! Fully recommended 100%! Unbelievable flavor. Staff was warm, welcoming, friendly, and super helpful. If you haven't been here yet, you're wrong. The pictures DO NOT do the food justice. Portions are huge and you'll never be able to recreate the flavors. My compliments to the Chef! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at this absolutely wonderful establishment. Local and lovely. Nice drink menu- wide selection. Extremely filling. Great prices. Military discount (10%). Love love love it. And so did everyone else who was with us. New favorite from Owensboro. Steaks are perfect. The Cajun chicken/shrimp pasta to die for. Chicken fried chicken- Par none. And so much more. Wonderful atmosphere.

Super friendly service, extremely clean, and exquisite food. So glad we stopped here! This place has such a beautiful rustic vibe!

Always great food and friendly service to be had at City Walk. Cozy atmosphere and friendly faces ready to give recommendations. Excellent steaks and flatbreads and one of the best Hot Browns in the state!

We aren't from Owensboro... in fact we made a 2 hour drive on a whim since I got off work extra early today. Neither me or my Fiance had eaten yet, so the first thing I did once we got close to Owensboro is look up restaurants near Smother's Park (we planned to walk in the park and up to surrounding stores)

City walk popped up as one of the most popular resturaunts... and I figured the time (11:30) was a perfect time to get in quickly to a popular place.

We were seated pretty instantly upon arrival. I was shocked to see the restaurant was so small inside, but that doesnt matter... half the time that means the food is Killer, and this time was no acception!

We were slightly disappointed to see the Lunch menu didn't have everything we planned on getting (apparently we were viewing the Dinner menu) but that was alright.

Service was fast, First we got our drinks (I got the House margarita which was a very good, clean margarita.) Then we decided to try the chicken avocado flatbread... which was DELICIOUS. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did.
Their ceasar salads were amazing, the dressing is VERY flavorful... it is kind of thick though so it is hard to spread out on the salad but the flavor made me not even care.

My main course was the Meatloaf with Mashed potatoes and Mac and Cheese..... I will say it was SUPERB. Half the time you need to doctor up your mashed potatoes... these didn't need a dash of anything. The mac and cheese was different... not your typical tasting mac, but good nonetheless. And the meatloaf was also killer, although surprisingly dense? I had never had a meatloaf so thick before..... don't get me wrong though, I'm not complaining.

If the only thing you have to worry about is the small amount of seating and space..... you got a good thing going. I usually do not leave reviews but everything was so good and the staff was so friendly that I felt I needed to.

City Walk is definitely worth a try if you're ever in Owensboro!

We came into Owensboro for a basketball tournament and randomly selected City Walk for lunch. Our waitress Silva (spelling?) did a great job! The food was delicious, particularly the green beans (amazing) and grilled catfish! Definitely recommend!

Great staff. They made sure you had everything you needed. Food came out faster than I was expecting since it was packed. The food came out hot and fresh. Everything tasted great. Pork chop was so tender.

My fiancé and I had been talking about eating here for months, and finally we did tonight. I wish we had tried it sooner! We’re typically disappointed in one thing or another with new places, so we fully expected this would be no different, but WOW we were pleasantly surprised with everything! The service was great, the atmosphere was intimate and relaxing, and the food was excellent!! I ordered the Hawaiian Chicken, mashed sweet potatoes, and sidewinder fries (pictured). This place is a big treasure in a small town 15/10 recommend ❤

Google search, seen the Hot Brown and knew I didn't need to look any further. Didn't disappoint!

Excellent service with great food. We enjoyed our meal. We appreciated that we could have a conversation without blaring music.

First time there and we will definitely be back. We ordered the chicken cordon blue, chicken stuffed jalapeño, and a burger. Every meal was exceptional. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem in downtown Owensboro Kentucky. I tried their Jalapeño Chicken and it was quite an amazing dish. They offer outdoor, indoor dining in a welcoming cozy feel, I would definitely recommend them as a must stop if you are in the area.

Don't go there on a Saturday night. Unless your willing to wait for 1.5 hrs. Reserved tables get priority. You get to write your name on the brick wall. The food is worth the wait. Delicious. No drat beer, bottle only. Limited liquor bar.

Great atmosphere. Everything on their menu is good- we recommend the steaks! Best steaks in town. Perfect portions. Easily accessible parking.
