Hampton Inn Owensboro South

Hampton Inns are my top choice when traveling by road. This one seemed to be an older property, and some of the systems didn't work as expected (for example, choosing a room when checking in from my app). That said, as usual it was clean, comfortable, and convenient. And the above-average staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful.

Arrived in the middlenof the night and left first thing in the morning. I didn't even have time to enjoy a nice breakfast during this business trip.

This is unfortunate, because the staff are so lovely and kind, I wish I had more time to actually relax and take in the entire Hilton experience. Next time I am in town, perhaps.

We were in town visiting my son. We have stayed at the riverfront the last 5 times we've been to Owensboro. I didn't realize there were two Hamptons. This property is older but it's clean. The parking is a little tight. The location is close to everything we needed. It is fun to stay at the riverfront but we weren't going to spend any time in our hotel so staying at the cheaper, less expensive property was the logical option for us.

First time staying with this hotel, very clean, rooms are very good. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and nice. Would recommend them very highly.

Very nice accomodations. The rooms were very clean and linens were fresh. All of the amenities were there; coffee pot, toiletries, ice bucket, refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, iron, ironing board. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We had a very quiet stay and got plenty of rest due to the exceptional noise level throughout the night. Highly recommended and I will absolutely be back to stay again one day.

We’ve stayed almost yearly for the last 20 yrs. I want to tell you, just making the reservation for Labor Day weekend, BUT, I want everyone to know that Front Desk person ASHLEY was the best. She was so patient with this oldster, trying to find an ADA Mobility room for us and so friendly and even found us a better rate. ASHLEY, WHATEVER THEYRE PAYING YOU, ITS NOT ENOUGH! Lucky for Hampton, cuz this day and age, great customer service is hard to fine. Sadly we had to take a regular room and I’ll need to bring handicap accessories, but with her fortitude, I decided to give it a try!

What an awesome experience. Shout to all staff but especially Eric, an amazing respresentation of great customer service. He was kind to everyone, spoke to everyone, answered all our needs and was very affordable with his time. We bought 3 gallon sized soups from a local festival and he allowed us to store then over the weekend on their large cooler in the kitchen.
The hotel was full with softball and soccer teams yet from the rooms being cleaned fault, to the breakfast staff and front desk personnel this team handled it all with out and issue Management was very affordable with her time and very very kind, we WILL stay hey again... LOVED LOVED OR STAY ‼

Best hotel in the area, hands down. Stayed here for a month while working on a nearby project and it was a wonderful experience. Staff (particularly the morning and night crew) went above and beyond to help and make our stay comfortable. For example- a few mornings I was either too early or too late for breakfast, but the staff still got me my usual juice and bagel.
Our room was clean and up to date. It’s the little details that matter when you have an extended stay, and this hotel exceeded expectations in that regard. Beds were comfortable with a nice thick duvet. Our room came with plenty of big fluffy towels. The water pressure in the shower scores a 5 out of 5. It was quiet at night, no parties or kids running up and down the hallways. But most importantly, our room had a powerful air conditioner. Owensboro in the summer is scorching- so this was crucial. Food delivery to the hotel is available from numerous restaurants in the area. My only advice is if you are traveling in the summer, book this hotel early. They reach capacity quickly due to the many events in the area.

Great location and price. Clean, good temperature control. Polite staff, clear communication, good breakfast. Plenty of bedside outlets, space for a CPAP.

We got a king studio room for me, my husband, and our 1.5 year old son. We were able to put the pack n play the hotel provided in the desk corner. The desk became our changing table. The room had a chaise we moved and ta da, our son had a bedroom! That allowed my husband and I to sit on the couch and chat quietly after 7 pm, which is exactly what we wanted.

Great stay! I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The continental breakfast and the staff was wonderful. The rooms were very spacious and clean. It was a great stay. We have stayed here before and will stay again.

The staff was friendly, lobby layout was nice and funtional. Breakfast was decent about what you expect. Rooms were clean when we arrived and cleaned daily. The pool is a little small, they have a nice pavilion out back. Overall good experience.

Best experience I've had at a hotel in a very long time. Staff was friendly, everyone smiled and greeted me. The facility and room was clean and smelled pleasant. Breakfast was very good. I even had another guest pick up my room on his tab to thank me for my military service on veterans day weekend! I was truly honored to be a guest in your hotel. Thank you to everyone!

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in, in a long time. The staff is very friendly. Everything was very clean and up to date. The breakfast was very nice.

Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Great location. This location is showing wear and tear and needs updating. The wallpaper in the bathroom is patched and pealing, the ceiling cracked and poorly patched, and the TV is laughably small. Not enough to dig it a full star, but 4.5 is what I would give it.

Update - as luck would have it I ended up back at the same hotel a few weeks later. They now had a shocking large TV, and this room was in good shape. Talking with the staff they are also in the process of getting ready to remodel the bathrooms. I had already given it 5 stars, but now it really deserves it. Good work Hampton Inn on taking action.

One of the best hotel experiences I've had. The staff was warm courteous, and helpful. Also great at giving directions!! I can't say enough about how pleasant they were. The rooms were immaculate and spacious. It was nice that there were so many restaurants very close by. I would very highly recommend it.

The room was very clean and well stocked. Very modern conveniences and lots of power outlets. The staff was professional and courteous. My only issue was the toilet had a slow leak so it was constantly refilling the tank.

The staff was there to greet you and talk to you like you were family. They made you feel welcome and helped anyway they could. The rooms were very well cleaned and organized. We would definitely stay there again.

Rooms clean and well maintained. Staff friendly. Hotel nice and quiet. Great place to stay in Owensboro. ONLY small critique I can offer..the person that is installing these shower curtain rods needs to be trained. The idea of the curved rod is to give you MORE room in shower. The distance in that these are mounted is far too far in. They need to correct this on next remodel.

This place is outstanding the staff is wonderful and very concerned about their clients they bent over backwards for my wife and I when we stayed there. They all have a heart of gold.
I would like to recommend you ask for Tina, Eric, or Lee we dealt with them the most on our stay and they were very helpful. God Bless the whole staff and thank you for all you done for us.
