Lanny's Fireside

Quick, friendly service with DELICIOUS food. I had the seafood pasta. I got so full, but didn't want to stop eating. The squash served alongside it was amazing as well. We are from out of town and wanted a cozy Up North Wisconsin dinner. I felt bad for our waitress because she was the only one serving, but she was very speedy and we were served in a very timely manner. We'd definitely go back. Only drawback was that the kitchen closed a bit early and we couldn't order the dessert we wanted.

From the amazing cocktails, Sweet Old Fashioned's made by Max, to the wonderful and attentive service provided by Hillary, we genuinely couldn't be more impressed. Such a beautiful ambience, but that wasn't the best part. They treated us like gold, checking in and making sure everything was perfect, and it was! I had the melt in your mouth pork schnitzel (never knew it could be this wonderful) and my husband had Walleye. Top notch from start to end, everything! Oh and the warm bread and cheese, as well as olive tapenade to start? Ridiculous delicious, including the beautiful and delish salad and BLT soup (who knew? Never heard of it but wow!). I was so full, but my husband still wanted the dessert because he couldn't resist after everything else was so great! I had three bites but could've kept going if I didn't want to feel so full the rest of the night lol! It was a fresh made brownie with homemade chocolate sauce, and dang I'm not even into desserts but wow wow wow. Five stars plus, keep up the wonderful work. We'll definitely be back!!! And FYI the photos truly don't give it the credit it deserves.

Lanny's is a great place to have a great dinner, drinks 🍸, service, and great atmosphere...If you are in the area I would recommend this as one of the places you should try...

We live about an hour away so Lanny's was not on our radar - a friend recommended it so we gave it a try and glad we did. The dinning room was quite elegant and our server a real pro, she was pretty much flawless...I had the Schnitzel and my wife a filet both presented as promised and delicious...the flaming cheese app was also awesome - we'll be back!

Siera was the best server we ever had in the northwoods in 25 years. First time here and every dish served to our party of 4 was perfect, especially the duck with orange drambuie sauce. We will be back very soon!

I’ve had a lot of schnitzel, including in Germany (and not a tourist joint, a legit local) and this might be the best I’ve had, no joke. Hope someone on staff reads this and tells the kitchen. When you regret spreading the gravy over the cutlet (gravy was really good!) ‘cos the cutlet and breading alone was so delicious? Uh, that just doesn’t happen.

Can't go wrong! GREAT food, great crew serving up great service and a great atmosphere as well... Winner, winner!

My wife got the sesame encrusted ahi tuna, and I got the Mac Burger.

Best walleye I've ever had! Loved the panko crumbs crust! Went with 5 others. Ordered 2 of the saganaki appetizers when one would have been enough! Serving size included 3 large - and delicious- slices of Greek cheese. Everyone raved about their meals -- blackened Mahi Mahi, Weiner Schnitzel, stuffed chicken, bacon-wrapped scallops, and the walleye. There was SO much food as is typical of the WI Supper Club. We had soup and salad, crostinis with olive tapenade, bread with cheese and 2 butters, and a side dish. The bill came in at $87/couple plus tip and a separate $25 bar bill while we waited. Our server, Lori, was a true professional! We wanted for nothing! This meal was worth every cent, and I can't wait to go back!!!!

When we visit our cabin in the Northwoods, we like to try different local restaurants. Tonight we tried Lanny's Fireside in Conover and were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly when we arrived. We enjoyed good cocktails and good conversation with the bartender. Once seated, we found our waitress to be personable, attentive, and knowledgeable in spite of the fact that it was her first day on the job. Of course the highlight was our meal. I had the walleye special and my husband had the ribeye. The meals came with all the sides. Everything was incredible. We will return.

Every single aspect of our dining experience was incredible! We were warmly greeted upon arrival and had well-poured drinks at the bar before being seated. At the table, I was reminded of the attention to detail put into every course at Lanny's. Each appetizer, soup, salad, and entree was perfection. Our party of three enjoyed two fish entrees and one steak. We were too full for dessert, but we saw them being served to neighboring tables and they looked amazing. And the service! Hillary is a true professional - very attentive and friendly. We never sat with an empty glass or plate. Every establishment in the Northwoods is bursting at the seams with business this summer while being short of help and vying for capable employees. Lanny's was extremely busy that night (Father's Day), yet we felt that we could have been Hillary's only table. Service was the best I've had - ever! Lanny's Fireside is the place to go for fine dining. I know you'll enjoy your experience as much as we did!

Enjoyed the smothered pork chop dinner. Started with great old fashions with Max at the bar. From appetizers, fresh bread, soup, salad and our entrees, it was all delicious. Carson was our waitress and she did a great job. Service was very efficient too.

As always, fantastic! Food & service is top notch. I dont ever mind spending money to go out to eat at Lanny's because you know it will always be excellent! Always: soup, salad, bread, spreads, plenty of the main dish, and service. Thank you for being dependable for a fantastic dining experience!

Enjoyed two wonderful, delicious entrees tonight: seared scallops over saffron rice, and awesome pork chops Adriano. Relaxing evening with terrific wait staff… and lovely, homey surroundings. Lanny’s never disappoints. We have enjoyed this North Woods jewel for almost 12 years !!!

Perfection!! I had the Ahi with garlic mashed and brussel sprouts. It was medium rare. Loved it. Fried cheesecake for dessert. Again, loved it.
It should be on your list of places to go. Easy drive if you are in Eagle River.

Amazing food. Incredible friendly bar tender. Seating at the bar only the night we were there but so fun. 12 strangers all chatting and having a blast! The menu is deep and the portions huge. I'm going back.

Excellent food! Best meal I've had since moving here from Illinois 4yrs ago. Friendly, courteous service. Hope to visit again.

My husband and I stopped here for dinner. It was awesome, the dinner was excellent and the service prompt, courteous, and friendly. I would highly recommend this supperclub! We definitely will be visiting this establishment again. Be advised to make reservations, they are required. 👍

Absolutely delicious. We ordered the Duck and Tuna and were blown away. Drinks were great too 😉
