IHOP

This has always been my favorite place when I can’t decide what to eat. You can order anything and interchange sides so no matter what you order, you can still have pancakes. But this last week I found myself in the hospital for a necessary but unplanned surgery.

I was restricted to low fat food and my doctor said I could order anything from a restaurant so long as the same thing. So I got to have pancakes and eggs.

Since I couldn’t go pick it up I used door dash and they had my food to me within half an hour. Since I needed things that I couldn’t just go in the kitchen and get utensils, napkins, and other things ppl normally have at home, I called the Resturaunt and the woman who took my call made sure to send extras for my coffee, utensils, straws, napkins, and both days, made sure that the food was perfect.

They even wrote little messages on the bag. My friends and mom and I go for breakfast maybe once every other month and even one of the servers always remembered my order.

Even when they were short staffed right after Covid when ppl figured out that they make more money staying home and getting government handouts, the employees that stuck with their jobs still managed to get the food out quickly with no mistakes.

The food is consistent and never a let down. The service is always friendly and sincere. Even if they make a mistake, they will usually catch it and fix it before bringing the food out. You just can’t go wrong here.

They didn’t have to do what they did for me when I was in the hospital, but they did what I would have done. If something is wrong, fix it BEFORE someone complains. If something isn’t what was expected, don’t question when the customer would rather replace it with something else.

Basically treat the customers as if they pay the employees wages because they really do. Respect is mutual and that’s how it should be. Nobody should have to demand respect or good service. So far it has always been that way at this particular restaurant.

The prices are great too!

I am so shocked at how many poor reviews this place had. The food is AMAZING, the employees are so kind and sweet. The manager even came by to check on us and make sure the food was good when we had a slight delay. If I was local I’d come back for sure!

I had to take my son to the airport (we live in Rochester) and wanted to take some time for breakfast and to read. I have never been here before but the service was excellent. I believe my waitresses name was Brianda…she was very personal and professional! The food was fantastic! Even the manager, Susan, when I paid my bill was great. If you’re in the area, this is a great place to stop.

We visited IHOP around 9pm on a Friday night. There were a handful of tables, not busy. We ordered the Spicy Pablano Omelette and the Breakfast Sampler. The food came out quickly and hot. At first taste we thought we died and went to breakfast heaven. The food was delicious, the service was absolutely amazing. Overall, a really great experience. Give them a try for some good food, but, you don't have to take my word for it!

Stopped in on a Monday evening after picking up my daughter from the airport. The food was delicious, warm and satisfying. But, the best part was our server, Malia (hope that's right). She was so sweet, respectful and efficient. So nice to receive great customer service! Kudos Malia!

Me and my husband go here occasionally and I have to say, it was another great visit. Our waiter Maurice served us really well. He was attentive to our table, and when the cook forgot my avocado (which costs extra), Maurice was on top of it. Thank you. 👍

Update 7/16/21: We went again and I have to say, Nakia P is another fabulous waitress. When we ordered food, she made sure my salad was fresh. The food was delicious, and we got checked on regularly. Thank you for the wonderful service.

I have always been a fan of IHOP. I am not under any illusions about this being anything but a chain restaurant, however, what they do they do well. My son used to always choose IHOP when it was his turn to pick the restaurant. Bottom line I love pancakes and frankly who doesn't? Anyway, this particular location has always given us good service. In our most recent experience, there was only one waiter due to a call in I believe, but he handled it like a boss. On top of that, he never let it get to him. Kudos bro, you rock. Seriously give this guy a raise. I am so bad with names or I would give it here. Ultimately, if you like IHOP because you like pancakes, then hit this location up, it's a good one.

Lilly and Desmond were a big help and the food was sooo good!!! Leaving here satisfied and stuffed!

Wonderful staff, good food, and a nice atmosphere to get breakfast.

Very happy with the food and impressed with Maurice. He did a great job, had an awesome attitude. I enjoyed my visit mostly because of him!

This is the best IHOP in the city everybody is nice, food is fresh and hot... covid precautions are followed!!! It was a great breakfast

We stopped in for a quick bite to eat and Steven P. was our waiter. He was super helpful, patient, and kept a great attitude the entire time.

Spacious, full of natural light and ample seating facility, this IHOP outlet at Layton avenue is a good place for weekend breakfast..Our favourite here is chicken Florentine crepe. But the coffee is very strong.

IHOP is a have a yummy foods i love it so much its worth to wait when you taste they delicious foods

Food was very tasty today!

When we got there there was nobody else in the building. It was 7:00 and they opened at 6:00 a.m. we were seated immediately and our order was taken very promptly. Our server was nice and the food came out unbelievably fast. The presentation was much better than I've experienced at similar establishments. The food was great the atmosphere was great the place was clean and we had a wonderful time.

Service was slow, as usual, and we only saw our server when she took our order, brought our food, and brought the bill. And when she brought the bill is when she offered refills. We were already done eating. But, she was really nice and friendly. The food was awesome. They have nice happy hour specials and their overall prices are great during a time when restaurant prices are extremely high.

I absolutely loved this place! It was my first time there. The manager helped me arrange a beautiful surprise anniversary dinner. Everything was perfect! Our server was excellent and all of the staff gave us anniversary wishes. We will be back!

I loved Denny's before they changed their pancakes (lighter and fluffier to taste dry and lacking). IHOP still makes great pancakes, and it's the last place left in THIS AREA to do so.

My scrambled eggs were also perfect, hash browns were good but not as crisp as normal (still ate them all).

Our Best breakfast out in a very long time, and far better than the remaining competition.

Service was excellent also. It's quick service, so expectations are easy to exceed, we were very happy.

Food was good. I luv the Strawberry & Banana pancakes. Also, had a Steak Burger w/Onion Rings. (Dined in and Took order of food home) That bad eating tasted so good, lolbvs. Food is always prompt. Definitely worth the money. Services is always nice.
