Meade Street Bistro

Every part of the experience here was awesome. From the friendly owners, the ambiance and cool, but cozy decor, to the incredible food. Every dish was amazing and the menu is diverse. The chef accidentally forgot the dairy-free cheese for me on the pizza, and they happily (and very quickly) made up another one and told my husband to take the other home. I highly recommend this place! We will be back again and again.

Wow.. The absolute best gluten free fish fry I’ve ever had. They’re gonna update their menu, but they have a dedicated gluten free fryer for perch and haddock ahead their fried potatoes. Exceptional is an understatement. I’m literally giddy as I’ve been searching for this unicorn in the Fox Valley for a decade. This is gonna be our go to place for fish fry from now on.

We stopped a couple of Fridays for lunch, my sister and myself. We both had the Lake Perch. That is among the best lake perch I have ever had. What a great meal. Can't wait to go back

First time trying this place. The owner took care of us. She was absolutely wonderful. My best friend is gluten-free. The fries were amazing. The desserts were awesome. 👌We will definitely be back !!

Jeanette and I just found this very nice restaurant a short time ago. Been here 3 times now with in a couple weeks. Danielle has been our waitress each time and she's amazing. So nice and enjoys joking around with us. We ordered the pizza yesterday and it was delicious. We'll be back again next Friday for there Friday night fish fry 😊

This was our first visit and we loved it. The food was delicious (the goat cheese crostini was amazing), the owner was beyond welcoming, and it is clear that this place has it all. I can’t believe we had dined here before, but we will definitely return.

Went here for dinner to celebrate my friend's wedding! It's such a beautiful restaraunt and we were able to reserve the private room they had in back.

The owner took care of us all night and she was the sweetest and most glamorous person! The rest of the staff that we met that night were also just as amazing.

We started off the night with a few drinks from the bar. If you are looking for somewhere just for drinks then please check this place out, they have some amazing signature cocktails. (like the violet gimlet that I had)

Lastly the food was very good! We all had some appetizers and different entrées. I was most impressed by the way they obtain their meat options, which is from a local meat market! Which you know it's nice and fresh.

I had the salmon with the risotto and broccoli. The salmon wasn't dry and the risotto had a really nice flavor to it. The only suggestion I had was to have a little bit more done with the vegetable option.

Overall I'd definitely come back here, thank you again for such a wonderful night!

Stopped in for lunch. Salad bar, soup and my wife tried the special of the day build a pizza. I got the brisket sandwich. Everything was very good!

Don’t let the low rent fool you!

When you first pull into the parking lot for the strip mall that Meade Street Bistro is located in, you think to yourself, how can a really great restaurant be squeeze in between a liquor store and a Papa Murphy’s pizza? There must be some mistake.

Yes, it’s not located in some fancy mixed-use development in downtown Appleton, but when you walk in, you find a simple, but nice, inviting space with a cool green back-lit bar and lighting at just the right level with background music that’s playing not too loud, but just loud enough to cover up background conversations.

Their menu has a modest offering of an eclectic group of items, from pizza, to greens, pasta, seafood and one steak choice. The meat is locally sourced and everything is scratch made. This shows in the quality of the meals.

This was our first time dining here, and we found it simply by combing through Google Maps and seeing other positive reviews. I had the shrimp in fettucine and a butter garlic sauce. Lots and lots of shrimp! My wife had the ahi tuna and it was cooked to perfection. Rare but slightly warm on the inside. We also had a Cesar salad, a simply wonderful green pepper soup, and for desert a fantastic peppermint torte that was made from scratch just like all the other meals. The flavors are amazing and the portions are generous. Excellent bar as well, with some interesting cocktail offerings.

They have a large selection of gluten free and a few vegan options as well if that’s your thing.

We chatted with the Owner and she is a wonderful person (she actually was the one waiting on us). Appleton is lucky to have a wonderful, local, cooked from scratch bistro like this Meade Street Bistro!

I took her family out to check out a local bistro in the Appleton area. I’m very happy we decided to stop in at this location. The food was outstanding, and not to mention the service was great. I would come back again.

The menu could be organized a bit different but I we found what we needed and were very pleased.

We have been coming here for sometime now. We absolutely adore the owner Sony she’s fabulous! First off the staff is amazing but let me tell you the food is unbelievable. Every meal every bite is outstanding!
I have a pretty severe gluten allergy and they accommodate by having a separate oven and frier. Not to mention the amazing soups she makes and her husband’s amazing desserts! I highly recommend trying this place out!

As someone with a severe gluten allergy, it’s so refreshing to find a place that takes gluten free food serious! With a dedicated half of the kitchen solely for gluten free foods! Had the risotto (gluten free) was amazing! Husband had the flatbread pizza (non gluten free) said it was delish! Spilt a gluten free cherry torte that was phenomenal!!! Will for sure be back again!!!

For being open only a week, they did a great job! We went on an almost packed Friday night and received exceptional service. Michael was very pleasant, polite and went above and beyond the type of service we've received elsewhere. Food was a little bit more pricey but the price was in line with the quality.

Actually top notch food. The chicken and wild rice soup is unlike any other. Its nice to see a restaurant using such high quality ingredients. Well worth it.

My husband and I were trying to order a specific meal for delivery to our hotel ahead of time and were not finding it on the delivery menu options. The owner went out of her way to take the order via phone, give suggestions and have everything delivered at our hotel room by one of her staff!!! This just made our special day even more special. :-) Thank you Meade Street Bestro!

A friend asked if I’d be willing to try this place for our lunch date. Once I saw their menu online I was willing to give them a shot. They have a full bar in addition to the most amazing food. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. They told us they source all of their meat locally from the Meat Block. I had the salmon toast (and I can’t wait to have it again) and my friend had the caprese salad with smoked salmon added to it. Both were amazing!! Salmon toast pictured:)

Meade Street Bistro is a hidden gem!! Don't let the strip mall location fool you, this is a lovely spot, with a beautiful (full) bar and a private room. There is a lot of room for a larger gathering, but the space feels cozy. I was especially thrilled to learn that they have a dedicated vegetarian/vegan menu! This is in addition to their large "normal" menu with tons of options for an omni eater. My cauliflower tacos were amazing, and my husband had a fish version that he loved as well. I'll be back here, next time with my book club group!

Very Celiac friendly. Best fish fry without compromise. Sony, owner, really understands. My highest rating ever, 10 stars.

Absolutely wonderful place to have dinner with your family and or friends. Fantastic atmosphere, excellent service, and the food is amazing! We will be back.
