Vanderwendes at Dewey

We go here every time we pass through Dewey. The ice cream is delicious! I have loved every single flavor I've ever tried. You have to stop here! Parking can be tough on a busy night, but it is worth it!

The girls working the counter were so nice and efficient. They worked hard to keep the line moving quickly and were friendly and helpful. Rocky road was delicious and the mini scoop was the perfect size!

Always a 5 star experience ⭐ Absolutely love the farm fresh ice cream. Got the one scoop and was able to split flavors pineapple and coconut with real chunks mixed in! Will always return as often as possible

It doesn’t take long to get on a first name basis here. Vanderwendes has always been my favorite ice cream place ever with their flavor varieties for both humans and dogs. It’s such a welcoming environment and perfect for either a cold snack midday or a nice desert before bed. Being located in the heart of Dewey makes it the perfect ice cream place. Plus, their scoops are HUGE. I’ve never recommended anywhere as much as I have Vanderwendes.

Really delicious ice cream right in downtown Dewey Beach. There are a lot of great flavors (all the standards plus a number of less common ones). The most recent flavor I tried was peanut butter fudge swirl, which was absolutely delicious.

So many delicious flavors of ice cream. Definitely the real deal with its farm fresh ice cream. Their butter pecan was great and so was a combination of blueberry cheesecake and lemon. We both got 2 scoops and it was way more than enough. You might even be able to split it! Really good!!

Really great ice cream! The girlfriend and I went here and both were planning on getting two scoops (flavors) on a waffle cone. When we got our two scoops, we were told that it actually counts as only 1 scoop so we got to save some money! Great tasting and good customer service.

Get ready for some yummies! The line is always long, buy boy - it is worth it! The ice cream is delicious and the line is moving so fast! Try their special berry cheesecake and fudge ice cream. Ask for one scoop - it's plenty! They are so generous and always greet you with the smile!

Best ice cream of my life, and everyone else's in our party of 9. Smell of fresh made waffle cones hits you when you come in and wafts into your nose while you eat it. Ice cream is out of this world! And they have a bathroom! Wish they had parking and outdoor seating, but their core mission is squarely accomplished

The ice cream (I believe hand made) here is fantastic! Plenty of flavors, to choose from. Not a bad one in the bunch. Great location, right on the main drag in Dewey Beach, a block off from the beach. Great service too.

Hands-down the best ice cream I have ever tasted. If you are going to Rehoboth or Dewey or anywhere else nearby, this is a must-visit. I've went at least once for the past 3 years, and they've never disappointed. Always something to look forward to, among other things, when going to the beach.

You can't go to Dewey Beach without spending a few minutes enjoying the ice cream. It is among the best I've ever had. There are plenty of flavors; there is usually a queue but it moves fast.

Truly amazing! Their ice cream is very good, the employees were kind, and they helped make sure that the ice cream was safe for my peanut allergy!

This is the best hard scooped ice cream I have ever had. Definitely plan on going here every time I'm in town!!! And I will be recommending it to all my friends who go to Dewey.

All the flavors my family got were really good. Really worth a stop by. We have noticed they get a pretty long line on summer night. But if you go before 8 should be ok.
