Beautiful hotel with excellent service and great food. We were here on behalf of our employee appreciation party and were directed to this inn. The staff was spectacular and helpful, the entire property was spotless and the holiday decorations added beautiful flare. We will definitely be back!

Great downtown location, didn't realize it came with a free breakfast. Which was pretty good. Also there's a pool. Downside would be it's a little confusing finding your way around to the 5th floor rooms. Overall very good

Very nice hotel our room was very spacious. The breakfast was pretty good as well both hot and cold options. The shower was very nice. We stayed for a wedding and the banquet hall was gorgeous huge windows and a lovely space.

Spacious room. Loved working out in the gym and using the hot tub and pool. I also liked that it's connected to a bunch of restaurants

Friendliest hotel in Wausau and always my go-to when I’m here for work. All around comfortable with a great restaurant and bar (Char Grillhouse). It’s located right downtown so there is no shortage of entertainment, with over a dozen bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Parking is easy too and free parking is included in the rate.

The best location to stay in Wausau! Within walking distance of downtown and several entrances (all secured) around the hotel. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced for the location and quality. There is a nice fitness room as well. Although there is a bit of a distance between the parking ramp and Skywalk, it's worth it to not have to drag your luggage though rain and snow into the hotel.

My husband and I chose to stay at the Jefferson Street Inn because of its proximity to the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum of Art as well as restaurants and shops within walking distance. When planning any vacation, I always try to find a hotel where we can just park the car once and walk everywhere we need to, and the Jefferson Street Inn filled the bill. Every staff member we encountered at the hotel was pleasant and helpful, particularly in Char, the onsite restaurant. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean, and our room was quiet and comfortable. The fitness room and pool were great too. Thank you to everyone at the Jefferson Street Inn for making our stay so memorable. We will be back!

Water wasn't very hot in the shower. No big deal. Bar/restaurant was really excellent. Bar tender Kelly was super personable. Very very nice.

Nice hotel in the downtown area. Location is perfect for walking to nearby restaurant and bars. Would stay here again.

My Dad was moved into hospice and recently passed. I put my life on hold so I could spend the last few months with my Dad. I stayed at the Jefferson Street Inn majority of the time I wasn’t staying in the nursing home room with my Dad. They got to know me, my family, and my pup so well. They were so accommodating and kind to all of us. When I stayed there this last week to lay my Dad down to rest they were sad, kind, and empathetic. They don’t know this, but they helped me emotionally during this very difficult time. Chris was so fast to respond to my “at a moments notice” need for a room. Even while he was recovering himself! This hotel and this staff is top notch and I’m so grateful for each and every person I had interaction with.
Thank You staff and Jefferson St Inn. You made a horrible situation a little easier to navigate and Finley is going to miss you too.

Nice king suites with comfy beds and lots of room for under $200. Big whirlpool tub, but we didn't use it. Shower was tiny, but that's the only slight negative. Front desk staff was great. Would definitely return if we come to Wausau again.

Forget all reviews about breakfast. They are outdated pandemic reviews. I walked in to the breakfast buffet area at City Grill attached to the hotel to find a lovely large selection of hearty and healthy breakfast options and a warm, friendly, welcoming staff. Some of the breakfast options they had available include, but not limited to, yogurt, granola, fresh fruits, scrambled eggs, country style potatoes, Canadian Ham, cranberry and orange juices, many types of muffins, breads, coffee, and tea. This was my first time staying at the Jefferson Street Inn. I would definitely stay here again the front desk staff Megan, Kevin, and trainee Jeremy were absolutely outstanding. Incredibly nice, intelligent and professional. Megan helped me with shopping advice just down the street from the hotel. I had so much fun shopping in the beautiful area. Everything is centrally located around the hotel. Perfect location. They have some snacks behind the front desk to purchase. Kevin was very helpful when I asked about hotel information when I bought my snacks at the front desk. My hotel room was perfectly clean and the bed was super comfortable. The sheets and pillows were clean and I had four pillows on my bed, which I really appreciated because I like a lot of pillows, to sleep with. The water was hot and the water pressure in my room was great. Thank you so much! Megan, Kevin, and Jeremy the trainee really made me feel like I was at home. They are so friendly and caring and helpful. They are shining hotel super stars!!! Hearts of gold! Thanks again!

Rooms, service, EVERYTHING about this hotel was perfect! In town for AirVenture Cup Race. Event spaces were beautiful. Right downtown with easy access to everything and local small airport.

We stayed in the king suite on 4th floor. The view west is of a quaint part of town. Dotted with homes along the hillside and a view of the river, the view complimented the coziness of the room. The fireplaces face the second room and bedroom and create a great ambiance throughout. Get lost in the maze of hallways, shops, restaurants and elevators throughout the building, just for fun. The pool and hot tub were both a perfect temperature. Lastly, the manager let me play a few chords on the grand piano at the top of the stairs. Definitely a great getaway from the big city and looking forward to our return. Have breakfast at a restaurant, however.

Tonite for the 5th occasion I checked into The Jefferson Street Hotel in Wausau, Wisconsin. Each time I have enjoyed the room very much, with respect to the cleanliness and room appointments. From the parking lot to the City Grill my stay has always exceeded my expectations! On one occasion I left my favorite jogging pants and the hotel mailed them to me at no cost. True to form, tonite upon check in I was greeted by Krista at the front desk…she was very friendly, patient and genuinely cared about my experience. Krista was knowledgeable about the area, she explained the change in breakfast back to The City Grill along with the general hotel layout. Each employee I have encountered at this hotel has been gracious
-but Krista went above and beyond. For that I am thankful and will continue to visit. All the best
