Runway Dog Park

This is a very large area with a gravel walk that encircles the grounds. There are benches or tables to sit all along the walkway. They have plenty of dog bowls around the walk as well. They do not have a water source at the park. So bring your own water. They have a fenced enclosure for small dogs. However, on the day i visited and one week after that, the grass in the small dog enclosure was uncut and was taller than my shihtzus. Therefore, it was unusable on both visits. I have been several times and I have not encountered any dogs that were unfriendly. Most people here seem nice and they all seem to keep an eye on their dogs. (monitoring the dogs behavior) There are bags provided for waste removal. It is close to the airport. Planes take off right overhead of the park. My dogs are very nervous with fireworks but don't even notice the plane noise.

My dogs love this place. It's huge! Right now (July 2018) it's been very overgrown compared to last year when it was mowed better. Still a good place for them to run and a there's a decent path for us to mosey around.

We love runaway as it’s the largest fenced dog park in Milwaukee there’s always clean water for dogs and many benches to sit at. Hopefully something is done to prevent it from closing 😕

Expansive and enclosed off leash dog park with long circle trail that encapsulates this dog park. The dog park provides a fantastic view of the runway at Mitchell international airport with incoming/departing planes flying overhead as you walk throughout the park.

The whole area is fenced in, and many friendly puppies and dogs to run and play with. And if you're a fan of airplanes, this place is epic! Bring your camera- you'll get some great shots.

Wonderful dog park! Plenty of open space for dogs to run free, but still a fenced in area, so no need to worry about your dog going anywhere they shouldn't. Fantastic community of people, and plenty of walking paths to enjoy!

So happy with this park, wish I lived in the area still, was driving home and pup needed to run, perfect space, incredibly large open areas. Will be returning next time I’m in town

My dog always has a blast! We only go for about an hour because she’s little but she does well in the large dog area. Good area to run around in and let loose

My dog loves this place! It is fully fenced so it is secure for dogs like mine that like to wander. It is very large with lots of room to run. Be prepared though because it is very open it is almost always windy. It also tends to be muddy in some spots if there's been any precipitation.

New 10 month old needed socialization with people and pups, and a place to burn off all that extra energy. First visit was this morning. We both loved every minute of it. Large area to run, make new friends peeps and pups alike. I was nervous before going, now I (and I'm sure, the dog) can't wait to go back. Totally fenced in huge area, didn't have worry about her being adventurous or getting too far away. And the pup parents were fantastic. I'm so glad a good friend invited me to go with.

There's a fee but the dog park is huge and there's an agility course.
There's a really nice walking trail but be aware there may be poison ivy.
The park is located right underneath a flight path so if your dog is scared of loud noises this dog park might not be the best for them.
My dog, Odie, had a great time though and I enjoyed the walk.
Yes, the driveway does have potholes.

Great dog park and one of the closest to me. Large area for dogs to run and for me to get my steps in! We follow the path around the park. There are long grasses as well as cut, shorter grass. I have never seen the shorter grass taller than what is normal for cut grass. I love the tall grass option as my lab loves bouncing through tall grass. It's her happy place! Area is large, so if your dog is not trained I can see how they can get "lost". But, people should be training their dogs. And, it's fenced in, so they're not going to be gone forever. We typically only need to walk the perimeter once and my dog is pooped. Great way to get her some exercise.

Great dogs, great people. The wet areas referenced in other reviews have been attended to; fences repaired, dogs can't get into them. Holes along trails have been filled with wood chips for the most part. A spigot and hose is available near the entrance when the weather is warm for rinsing dogs who specialize in finding puddles. If you prefer winding, wooded trails, this is not your park; it is wide open with large, loop trails. The draw here is the opportunity for your dog to socialize with other dogs while you walk the big looped path with the other humans.

Took my dogs here for the first time and they loved it! Plenty of space (fenced in, so you don't have to worry that your dog will get loose) for dogs to play and roam, and a great spot for their humans to get THEIR excercise too! I would recommend this Dog Park.

Large area for the dogs to run and do all the smelling they want. Some woods but mostly just field and a walking path. They do a great job of having garbage cans on the path and water at each of the areas for the dogs. $5 a day or an annual pass for $30. We really love this park. One of the best.

Definitely my go-to dog park. My dogs always leave the dog park super happy and pooped out from the running and playing they do here at the Runway Dog Park.

Large open park with plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. The fences that surround the water runoff ditches need some maintenance to keep the dogs from getting into them, but besides that, no complaints. There's also a decent sized fenced off area for puppies and smaller dogs to play if you don't want to worry about larger dogs.
