These guys helped me in a big way while I was in a pinch. So I had a problem with my insurance where they wouldn't cover my policy past April because the garage roof was too old. April was a pretty tough month to get someone to come out and replace my roof shingles, but my insurance company wasn't going to give me another couple months at all so I was in a bind.

I called around to a few different roofing places, and it seemed like they all wanted to take advantage of the fact that I needed it done fast. Some of them were even lying about what I needed: saying I needed a roof extension when I didn't, saying I absolutely had to get my sheet boards replaced when I didn't. These other places were trying to charge me a 6,000 dollar job for just a simple roof shingle job.

Then Chip came by, took a look at my roof and said it was no problem, he'd replace my shingles for me. He looked at the sheeting board from inside the garage and told me precisely how old they were (based on the labelling on the boards themselves). He offered me a really decent price for the job, and it was a job price, not a quote, so I knew exactly how much I would be paying for it.

He kept in contact for the few weeks we were waiting for the weather to clear, and when he got a couple open days he came over and knocked it out. He was very friendly the entire time. He got the specific shingles I wanted to match the house roof, where most other roofers only wanted to go with suppliers that they had previous arrangements with.

The job site looked very clean afterwards too when they were done.

Look, there's one thing I look for in a businessman, especially in the technical field, that is worth every penny you pay for... and that's HONESTY. If you can deal with a man and know he'll be honest about his trade, he's worth every bit of praise you can get. Badger roofing got my business because he was upfront, communicative and polite, and he knows what he's doing. He wasn't trying to blow smoke at all, wasn't trying to sell me anything I didn't need. He did a good job.

And the insurance company is happy now, so his promptness saved me a lot of money. Good looking out Chip!

We just had Badger Roofing of Wisconsin replace our (25) year old roof. Chip and his crew did an excellent job and knocked it out in about two and one-half days. It was comforting to know that Chip is the 3rd generation to be continuing Badger's service here in the Wausau area that goes all the way back to 1962. Price was fair and being an Owens Corning® Preferred Contractor was important to us for the warranty (and transfer of the warranty should that ever apply). We chose the Duration® Singles and are very pleased with the color of which there were several options to choose from. Badger recommended the VentSure® Ridge Vent system that is a lower profile than the one that had been installed on the old roof. It looks great and blends in well with the line of the roof. They also removed and reinstalled the heating cables that were installed on the north facing side of the roof. Job site was cleaned up very well each day and that says a lot when your contractor is doing a complete "tear-off" of an old brittle roof. Highly recommended, if you are thinking about a roof replacement call as soon as you are ready to take bids and schedule the work. Good contractors like Badger Roofing have schedules that fill fast.

When choosing a contractor for any job I look for honesty, integrity, knowledge of the job/product and definitely a person that I feel comfortable working with. Chip is that person. He, son Gavin, and the entire crew were outstanding. Their cleanup was amazing, even putting deck and patio furniture back as it was before. Chip is a great guy whose word is good. I would recommend Badger Roofing to do your roof replacement. They replace my mother in law's roof from storm damage. I had my house reroofed by Badger about 6 months ago. They did a great job, used highest quality materials, backed it up with a great warranty and were priced competitively vs the others in the same category. They are not the cheapest but not the most expensive. I felt they provided a good value. Since the project has been complete, we have had several storms and even winds pushing 80+ mph. No issues, no damage.

Chip and his crew of two just finished re-roofing our house today (5/24/22). They did an amazing job and were very professional. The completed project is absolutely beautiful.

Service was fast and professional. They did the entire steep pitched roof in just a few days including working through some really terrible weather. The whole crew went above and beyond the service we hired them for. Cleaned out gutters while they were on the roof and cleaned up every tiny piece of the old roof from around the house - our landscaping looks better after they left than when they showed up. They were also very friendly and patient with our young son who was obsessed with watching them work.
