Great place in the heart of Wausau to eat some authentic Mexican food. Service is amazing and the staff is always willing to assist.

1st visit, Pedro took excellent care of us. She had the shrimp tacos, perfectly prepared shrimp. I had the BIG BIG chicken burrito, it too was delicious. Visit Jalapenos, located at the end of historic 3rd Street in Downtown Wausau, you'll love it, we sure did

We’ve just moved to Wisconsin from Texas and decided to stay in Wausau for the night. The pictures looked good and it was close by our hotel. We were the only table in there at 9 on a Friday, but let me tell you… this was by far the best Mexican food we have had since leaving Texas in June. Wait staff was attentive, food was impeccable and I liked that it was low key! 10/10 will be back!

We lucked out and there was hardly anyone there, the service was perfect and the food was delicious. The staff was very happy and were continually checking if there was anything we needed. I highly recommend trying it out. I've already recommended to everyone I've talked to.

Another excellent experience at Jalapeños! Tonight my husband and I had shrimp tacos! So delicious! Came with beans and rice, and they offer chips and salsa when you are seated. Service was good, and the atmosphere is lively, colorful and fun! Popular place for some great Mexican food.

I haven't been here to eat yet but I absolutely love they turn it into a dance club on Fri and Sat nights! The music they play is amazing and I absolutely love dancing the night away! It does get incredibly packed though so if you have a problem with crowds, this definitely isn't the place for you. Their drink prices are about average and it doesn't take long to get a drink from the bartender. I'll be going back to try their food asap!

Loved it. The Chimichonga lunch was fantastic. Gave them 4 stars on atmosphere because they're remodeling.

Fantastic atmosphere and decor. Music and food are perfect and the staff goes above and beyond. Very authentic. Super clean as well. We had a lovely experience and they offer takeout too if you are in a hurry!
