District Veterinary Hospital Eastern Market

I take my dog, Stevie to see Dr. Teich and we’ve always received excellent care from him and the entire team. I originally lived on the Hill but have since moved out to Alexandria, VA and I still insist on bringing Stevie to see Dr. Teich. The team at District Vet are friendly, kind and compassionate caregivers. I feel like I am giving my pup the best possible care and am always confident in this team!

District Vet has been so extremely helpful to care for our foster dog, Cheez-It who broke his front leg only hours after we received him from the rescue! They not only saw him as soon as we could take him, but they went above and beyond to plan for his follow-up care. Their professionalism and "animal side" manner are top notch, I highly recommend taking a pet there.

Our pup, Maisie, has been going to District Vet for almost three years now. We have seen Dr. Frost, Dr. Evans, and Dr. Camden and they have been absolutely wonderful. Actually, we've only had positive experiences with the whole staff here. We recently moved out of the area and are sad to leave the practice, but even the transfer of medical history was seamless. I will continue to recommend District Vet at their Eastern Market location to my friends in DC.

Our 13-year old tuxedo, Ms. Pouca Bandida, had 6 teeth removed by Dr. Evans, who is wonderful. Bandit made a speedy recovery and she's feeling great. We trust District and Dr. Evans and we will keep going back for our yearly checkups.

When Dr Teich decided to start his own practice - me and my little ones followed! My experience over the years has been terrific. I never feel rushed - the vets take time to really understand what is happening with your pets. Not just what brings you in but how & what they are doing generally. The front desk staff are also just as great - helpful and accommodating.

The locations make getting an appt. pretty easy. Whether I need to see Dr. Teich specifically or another vet - I will typically get the day and time I need. This is a super busy practice, for a good reason, so I appreciate this.

Honestly this is the best place I could imagine to take your pet. The front desk staff is phenomenal and the vets and technicians are both knowledgable and friendly. They take the best care of our two cats and always remember us when we come back. They even send birthday notes! We've been to both the Brookland and Eastern Market locations and love them both.

We loved all the doctors, techs, and support staff! They identified an early detection of a major issue that resulted in our 10 year old pup still being with us 4 years later! We are are beyond thankful for all the folks that dedicate their work for the care of these furry friends. We were so sad to move out of the area. Thank you for all you did for Zadee over the years! 💗

District vet is the best vet in the city! I have been to all of their locations and they’re all amazing. Friendly and helpful staff with knowledgeable doctors in clean, welcoming, convenient locations. What more could you ask for? Forever grateful for Dr. Teich and his crew!

Hands down the best vet clinic in town. Been going to see Dr. Teich for about 9-10 years now. Him and his staff are so wonderful and compassionate, not to mention patient and flexible. My dog can be quite the demon and despite that, I have seen nothing but kindness from everyone at the District Vet.
The prices are extremely reasonable. I drive over an hour each way even though there are several good vet clinics much closer to me. Highly recommend.

I've had four dogs in my life, so I've been to a lot of different vets over the years. Honestly, I wish I had always just gone to District Vet Eastern Market. This a special place. The staff, the technicians, and the doctors (I've had the pleasure of working with Dr. Frost and Dr. Teich) are all wonderful. Clearly people that truly love animals. Best of all, the doctors take their time when speaking with you and working with your pet, and also take the extra time to communicate with you in detail post appointment or procedure. To me, this is that extra level of service and compassion which makes District Vet Eastern Market special. (And sometimes they will even send you a photo of your pet!)

The team at District Vet is truly the best. Our two pets both get very anxious at the vet, and every time we’ve visited everyone has been extremely helpful and patient. Auntie Devon especially goes above and beyond to make sure that the pets are comfortable and get quality care. For our dog, she has taken time out of her workday to do “fun visits” to help our dog feel more comfortable, and even came in on her day off to make sure that our dog’s annual checkup went well. We so appreciate her taking the time to work with us.

Our dog Lacey has been a patient at District Vet for two+ years and we are huge fans of the practice. Dr. Evans is fantastic - she's highly knowledgeable, caring, responsive and a great listener. The staff of the practice is also wonderful. Professional, kind, prompt, warm, efficient...I cannot say enough good things about District Vet. Highly recommend.

I’ve lived in several different states with my dog and now we’re in DC. I LOVE this place!! Every single person is extremely friendly from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. I found the vet techs extremely knowledgeable and were amazing with my dog. She’s a senior and always shakes like a leaf when she’s nervous. They treated her as if she was theirs. The doctor was great. Explained everything in great detail, offered me options and listened to my concerns. Overall… I would give more than 5 stars if there was an option!

Loved every minute here!! My cat was treated with so much love and care from start to finish. Our appointment was super timely and the staff was so kind. Dr. Frost is incredible and was so sweet to my cat and I. Her demeanor is so kind, calm, and confident and she did a great job! Blue at the front desk is also SO fun, professional, personable— he loved on my cat while I had to step out for a phone call! 10/10 recommend! Will definitely be coming back!

My dog Hartley overcame his fear of the vet office with the help of our favorite tech Auntie Dev. Now Hartley loves to go visit there even when he doesn’t have an appointment. She even has him acting brave for shots & exams. It’s a real love story!
