Hampton Inn Wausau

This was a last minute booking and everything was great. The hotel was very clean and decorated nicely. All the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean and well kept. Nothing broken or old looking. Beds were a medium firm and there were plenty of pillows. The breakfast was fantastic. 2 types of waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, and omelets, breakfast potato’s, and sausage. As well as all the toppings for the waffles and oatmeal. They also had a variety of cereal and fresh fruit and baked goods for a cold breakfast. I believe they also have breakfast bags for those who need to leave before breakfast was served. We will return when we need a hotel again.

This is not the function of their office and so it was very appreciated. The motel was clean. The whirlpool and pool were excellent. Your Cook's a sweetie pie and I forgot her name. And everybody was so kind to our little dog, our schipperke, coconut.

We stayed on a Friday night and our room was quiet and clean. From check in to check out all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Location was great. Easy walking distance to two restaurants. Highly recommend.

Best hotel in Wausau! I will not go anywhere else! Always super clean, staff are always really nice and helpful, we had a tragedy happen within our family in wausau, and the staff at Hampton were amazing! They were all here for us and helped us through those couple weeks. We ended up having to stay at The Hampton for a couple of weeks because of what happened, and if it wasn't for Hampton and the staff, we would've never been able to get through it. The pool and hot tub are always clean with alot of toys and stuff for the kids to play with. The rooms are always super clean and cozy, of room bathrooms are nice size with tub and really nice showers. Beds are really comfortable, and I'm picky when it comes to beds! And can't beat the free breakfast! The breakfast is always really good! Nice variety of foods to choose from. 😋 It's the only hotel I will ever stay at!

Stayed for a weekend and went skiing at Granite Peak. Family of 7 (2 rooms & a dog).
Couldn’t believe how accommodating the hotel was to children. Blow up toys in the pool and board games in lobby. My kids and us adults enjoyed our stay.

Really nice staff and is either fairly new or recently updated because the lobby, and rooms are very nice. Very clean. Couldn't have asked for a better room or nicer staff!

This was the first time staying at this Hampton Inn. Parking was plentiful and the hotel is off the highway. Easy to get there. Very clean hotel. Our room was very inviting and comfortable. Great shower, and they provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I forgot to bring shampoo so this worked out great. Very nice smelling products and left my hair looking good. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I am a side sleeper and need a firm pillow. No problem…the pillows on the bed fit my needs. The staff were very friendly and made check in and check out seamless. Will stay here again. Even though the hotel was off the highway, I did not hear any road noise. Very quiet to sleep. Thanks everyone for a great stay!

Breakfast was really good with a lot of variety fruit, eggs, potatoes, sausages, oatmeal, waffles, cereal and juices, coffe, teas, cookies and pastries and milk.

When asked by the hotel clerk the reason for our stay, I informed her it was for a family memorial. She then informed me we could receive the bereavement rate. What a great way to start our stay. Staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Was so very impressed with the food safety precautions taken at the breakfast buffet. I also appreciated the written guidelines in the elevators regarding quiet time and expectations for children and teens. Holiday decorations were a plus. Noticed they were offering popcorn during Sunday football, which the other guests seem to truly appreciate: What a nice touch.

What a nice, clean, organized place to stay. I believe Nikki is the evening manager and she is great. Knows places to go eat and experiences to see. Someone left a review and mentioned something about highway noise. Granted I was on the backside of the hotel, on the corner. But if you have the window closed. I don't see how you'd here it. We had a king room with the sofa. What a nice, spacious room. We'll be staying here again.

Well maintained facility, outdoor patio, pool and whirlpool great.
Welcoming, friendly staff, great breakfast and hours available. Easy access from highway, safe area, great location. Would recommend and definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at this Hampton Inn a handful of times and am always impressed by how kind the staff are regardless of how busy it is.

Needed a room for an emergency medical visit in Wausau Wisconsin. Near by a great hospital
Only object is they wouldn't sell a beer after 9 pm. After that day our family experience of a fall with one in hospital for observation, a beer would have let us unwind.
Pool looked inviting and a nice snack closet filled with goodies. Staff was kind and experience

Room was clean, no smell, customer service was also very good and all the staff I met were very friendly. The lobby has a bunch of table games which was nice and they were getting used. Grounds were well maintained. It is next to the highway but our room was quiet. I would stay again.

Nice facilities. Breakfast selection was good. Really excellent service at the front desk. Our room was dated.

Went skiing a few times over the winter at Granite and enjoyed my stay here the first time so much that I haven’t bothered checking out other lodging options in the area.

Pros: clean rooms, comfy bed, good breakfast, free toothbrush, all outlets have usb chargers, very nice front desk help
