Very welcoming when we first arrived. Escorted to our site. We received great information for upcoming trips potentially cabin stays. RV site was flat and close to the restrooms and office. Bathrooms were very well kept. A very nice place to stay. Josie and Mark

My friends and I were driving home to the Twin Cities from a camping trip in Ohio. Two hours from home about 10pm my battery light came on right before the exit for Hixton/Alma Center KOA. The employees here were still up and were able to get us a site right away. They also allowed us to stay past check out to replace the alternator in my car. Not to mention the property is beautiful and they take amazing care of the grounds. I highly recommend to anyone traveling through to stay here!

Everyone who works here does a great job, they are very friendly, honest and helpful. The cabin was clean and well cared for. The grounds and bathrooms are clean. Our grandkids enjoyed the fishing pond, bikes, pool and bounce pillow. You must not miss the ice cream social 😊 very good and tasty on hot days. The coffee in the morning was a nice treat to wake up to. We will be back!

One of the nicest, well-kept campgrounds we've stayed at. The owners couldn't be friendlier. The rolling landscape and multitude of trees were a nice surprise.

We didn't stay in a "room". This is a campground!!! The closest thing to a room would be the cabins. We used the Campgrounds...my kiddos used the playground, bouncy pad and checked out the teepee. We are always pleased with the Saturday Activities!!!

Update: May 12-14, 2023. This KOA is one of our favorite KOA's (third visit in two years). Quiet, peaceful, kept tidy & clean, staff is AMAZING! We got locked out of our Class A...no phones...they were in our rig! Everyone on staff Friday went beyond the call of duty trying to help us. Even some fellow campers tried some of their contacts! We got back in with the help of our neighbors in the spot above us on the hill...Thank you to everyone!!!

We love this campground!! We’ve stayed here twice now. Both times were super peaceful. All the employees and fellow campers we encountered were friendly and helpful. Lots of area to walk your furry friends. There’s not a site on n this campground that wouldn’t be great! We’ve stayed down in the main area & up on the hill…both are great!!

The location was perfect because we were coming up to Hixton to visit with family for Fathers Day. The campground is only about 10 minutes or so from off ramp of the Highway and would be great access if you were just traveling by. There's so much to say about this KOA, from the minute we walked in to register to the moment we departed, the friendliness and helpfulness of staff was amazing. Being personally escorted to your site is a great perk, not having to look at a map, read rd. signs and drive to find a site is not always easy. Every hook-up was explained to me by the escort so there was no question which hook-ups were mine, and as I walked by the fire pit I noticed it was clean of ashes which is something I appreciate. Once settled in we walked the grounds and couldn't believe how clean they were, the pool was clean of debris and litter, the bathrooms and showers impeccably clean ( the first thing my wife said was "WOW these bathroom are so clean) My grandson enjoyed the fishing pond and the bounce mat. We will definitely stay here again when up in the area or passing through, highly recommend this this place.

My family and myself are seasoned campers, and we have been to MANY campgrounds KOA and not KOA,Hixton/Alma KOA Wisconsin is THE BEST!!! The campground is surrounded by trees and the grass is full and feels good in-between the toes😁 The BATHROOMS-are such a huge thing for me as I can be a bit of a princess when it comes to bathrooms they have to feel clean…and this campground keeps theirs pristine!(with the occasional bug,but it IS a campground) My favorites are the bathrooms on top of the hill has a toilet, sink and round glass door to step into the shower! The STAFF-AMAZING!! Tyler is pretty awesome he remembered my daughter just by meeting her once and even helped her become a part of their haunted trail oh let’s not forget he makes a awesome pirate! Gets right into character like it’s second skin 😂 but ALL the staff are amazing and super friendly every night ne of you!! The OWNERS are just as AMAZING and genuinely nice and caring people You can feel the dedication they have for their campground! Thank you for an amazing experience the last 2 years! Can’t wait to visit next season! I HIGHLY recommend staying here!!

Love camping here! I used to camp here all the time as a kid and I recently stayed here again. It is a very scenic campground. The tent sites are spacious and the cabins are clean and comfortable. They have a pool and a jump pillow thing which are fun even for adults.

Sadly, we only stayed for one night but wished it was longer! This is a beautiful campground, well manicured and beautiful landscaping. Lots of grass, great pool (although a little on the small side) and play areas. 2 areas for pets. We couldn't use the game room due to COVID, understandably. Bathrooms and showers were clean. On a busy weekend you may have to share a front lawn with the RV across from you, but you both will still have own fire pit and picnic table. Staff was super friendly, and made you feel welcome. Delivery of fire wood was great.

Very pleasant. Nice tent site, friendly staff, clean shower/toilet room. And free coffee in the laundry room was a bonus first thing in the morning!! Swimming pool, fishing pond! I have stayed here before, and will again in the future. Beautiful grounds and a pleasant hiking trail...the scenery was beautiful!

We had a great stay at the Hixton KOA. After a straight line wind ripped our camper awning, the KOA staff assisted us in taking it down safely and making sure we had everything we needed. Clean facilities, friendly staff, and a beautiful campsite. What else could you need?

This place is fantastic. The staff are so genuine and care that you're taken care of. They go above and beyond to see that you enjoy your stay. They are great and patient with kids. The grounds are very well kept and the facilities are very clean. The coffee is always ready and the pancake breakfasts are great. Would be a great place for a family reunion. There's cabins (with ac), tent and camper sites, playground, jump pillow, swimming pool, off leash dog park, showers, and laundry. 10 out of 10.

Had a great time with our family at the Hixton KOA campground over Mothers Day weekend. Kids had a blast at the park, bounce pad, and walking through the campground and trails. Was great that the KOA had a craft time with the kids to make there moms a beautiful mothers day gift and be able to give it to there mom along with a rose on Mothers Day morning while serving a pancake breakfast hosted by the KOA employees. The park is very well kept with alot of effort being put into there landscaping. They have all differnt sites with some being full sun and others shaded with beautiful mature trees. The people who run and work at the park are extremely nice, friendly and welcoming. This has been one of the nicest campgrounds all the way round that we as a family have stayed at and plan on returning this campground again in the near future. They also have a very nice in ground pool that we are excited to use next time we come when its warmer weather.

A wonderful campground. We were arriving late on the first day of a cross country move and had a reservation for a tent site, however it was very rainy and dark by the time we arrived, so we were able to switch to one of the small dry cabins and it was awesome. A bunk bed and a full bed with a/c and a cute porch with a swinging bench. The showers and restrooms were great, the best from any campground that I’ve seen. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, the views and atmosphere of the camp were great too.

Highly recommend staying here, the owners and staff treat you like family. The guests are also top notch. Facilities are well maintained and you can see that driving in. From my families experience this is a great family spot. Plenty to do for the kiddos. John, Debby, Jenny and Jill are some of the best and most down to earth people I've ever met. They made my weekend stay great and we're very accommodating to all our needs. We will be back for sure. We stayed in the Deluxe cabin and we couldn't have asked for more. Great interior nice kitchen comfortable beds, propane grill included with lighter scraper and poker. If you need wood for your campfire it's delivered right to your fire pit. If you are a glamper this is for you, if you have a camper this is for you, if you have a tent this is for you to. Only complaint I would have is if you are a tenter or renting a cabin with no bathroom you may have a walk.
