Four Elements Lodging

We have stayed twice at Four Elements and we love it! Great location! Jackie and Gordie are the nicest people. Great communication before we get there and easy to get ahold of if we need anything. The cabins are modern, and I love the kitchenette. There is A/C for the hot summer days and a cute fireplace for when it gets cold. We will probably be back again!

If you are planning a trip to Washington Island, Wisconsin, definitely stay in a cabin at the Four Elements. They are immaculate, light-filled and so comfortable. Everything is up to date. The cabins are new or recently renovated. The appliances and amenities are exactly what you would hope for and more than you would expect. Great coffee shop across the street. The property is quiet but really close to town, so the location is perfect. The owners are incredibly accommodating and helpful. I can't think of one complaint -- and that's not like me!

The Cabins were so cute and so clean! I will definitely be back! The owners are so accommodating and friendly. The Cabins had everything we needed for our stay. Microwave, little refrigerator, coffee maker. The space was so peaceful. I loved how quick Jackie would respond when I had a question. She provided us with so much information and tips about the Island. We had a wonderful vacation!
I would 100% recommend this place for a quiet, clean, and affordable place to stay!

We went to Washington Island with four other couples. Each of us loved the cabins at Four Elements Lodging. They are clean, new or newly renovated, and very comfortable - all with high ceilings and stylish decor. The owners are helpful and accommodating. Although the property is practically on main street, the cabins are quiet and the property is peaceful. There’s even a great coffee shop right across the street. The cabins really are in the perfect location. Can’t wait to go back!

Four Elements was beyond my expectations! I came for some relaxation time and a bit of business to check out a possible retreat location down the road. The cottage was impeccable, had a full size hair dryer, along with all the perfect amenities. The fireplace was a nice surprise - overall a very quality and comfortable place that made the week completely enjoyable. I highly recommend The Four Elements! The hosts Jackie and Gordon were helpful and very accommodating. Loved the little coffee shop just up the road and The Washington Hotel for dinner was a great treat. 5 stars all the way around!

My fiance and I had a wonderful stay at Four Elements Lodging. The owners, Jackie and Gordon, were friendly and communicative, and they kindly let us check out a few hours later on our last day. The cabin we stayed in was so clean and fresh and truly a joy to spend time in. Many times we sat out on the little deck and enjoyed a meal or a drink. Every detail was so thoughtfully considered, down to specific towels, make-up wipes, a flashlight for stargazing at the beach, and all the components for making a nice cup of coffee. My favorite feature might have been the shower with just amazing water pressure! The area was quiet and centrally located within walking distance to places like Albatross Burger and Red Cup Coffee. We had such a great time on Washington Island and all of Jackie's recommendations for places to visit were all fantastic. We would definitely return and stay here again!

This is the perfect place to stay on Washington Island. It is that simple. It checks all the boxes for what you are looking for in a quite and relaxing Island retreat. The island does not do fast food. It does not have all night dance clubs. It does have fantastic food from drive in to supper club to gourmet. It has fun locals who will make great recommendations from the food to hidden gems. Jackie and Gordy of Four Elements are those kind of people. Personal touches from both of them from suggested itineraries to fresher baked treats were more than welcomed for us as first time visitors. We stayed 2 nights and by the first morning I was ready to book a return trip. That is not something I normal would suggest. Jackie is attentive from the moment we inquired about Four Elements until we were on the return ferry to the mainland. If you are looking for a relaxing, slow your roll, non-resort style recharging experience, look no further. You won’t regret it!

These cabins are really nice. They are a modern simple layout. The owners are very nice and accommodating! The location is perfect, only 5 min down the road from the ferry, and next to a coffee shop and a drive inn on the main road in.

We spent a wonderful week on Washington Island this month, where we stayed at the Four Elements Lodging. The cabin was spacious and clean, and a perfect place to crash each night. The owners, Jackie and Gordon, live nearby and were very attentive to our every need. Wine and cheese delivered on Saturday night, and a breakfast casserole on Sunday morning. Does it get any better than that?

Washington Island is filled with places to bike ride and hike. We also spent a few of our days on the mainland exploring other parks, and the ferry was easy to work with. We were always glad to get back to our cozy room at the Four Elements each night.

On our last day, after checkout, we rented mopeds and rode all over the island to say good bye. Hoping to come back again! Thank you, Jackie and Gordon for making our stay so special!

We had such a wonderful experience! From the very beginning, Jackie was kind and friendly and made us feel at home. The cottage was beautiful, with the high vaulted ceiling and fireplace, and common fire pit we used at night. Gordon and Jackie were so hospitable and you can tell they really love what they do. It was a restful oasis to come back to after a full day exploring the island, and I can't wait to go back! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

By far the best resort on the island! Modern, clean and nice rooms. Very well kept, had wifi while we were at the resort. Had chocolates on the nightstand, a cool guest book to give recommendations to the next guests.

Jackie & Gordon were the most hospitable hosts ever ! They baked us scones for our 1 year anniversary and assisted us whenever we needed more coffee or utensils. They talked to us
out side by the fire and were so friendly and welcoming during the entire trip.

Nicest people we met on the island and cleanest resort we have stayed in there. Plus walking distance from food, coffee, gas stations, and a little tiki bar.

This was a special vacation for my husband and I to get some “unplugged” time. We understood the island’s internet could be thready, and we looked forward to the downtime. The lodge owners take your comfort personal and greet you at the cabin to give not only a warm welcome but a personal tour of the cabin and the amenities. And before you arrive, they send you a detailed email with restaurants, areas of interest, and ferry information. They truly try to make your visit worry-free so their guests can enjoy their stay. The lodge is centrally located for a casual walk to the island’s best burgers and ice cream or to great coffee and breakfast. The island is small and driving under 10-15 minutes to hiking, lake views, lavender fields, and much more or the lodge has wonderful new bikes that can be rented and delivered to your cabin! These wonderful little cabins are modern, clean, and inviting. We will return!

We booked our stay at Four Elements for our 1st anniversary and the only thing we would have changed was staying longer! Jackie was very helpful and friendly throughout our booking and stay. They were also more than kind and gave us a gift basket for our anniversary! (pictured below) The Scandinavian inspired cabins are a perfect getaway for couples, with plenty of things to do on the island. We were able to bring our kayaks with us on the ferry which I would recommend doing. The cabins are easy to get to and within a short distance from all the must do/see things on the island. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful, functional, convenient, modern, quiet, spacious and spotless cabins! Great shower! Jackie & Gordy were so friendly and incredibly helpful with any request or question. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to WIWI! Just perfect!

What a fabulous place to stay. My husband and I went to celebrate our 1st anniversary. We could not have picked a better place. Quiet and peaceful. The cabins are clean, spacious and inviting. The proprietors, Jackie and Gordy, even picked us up at the dock so we didn't need our car on the island. In the evening, we sat around the fire pit enjoying the Northwoods. Wow! What a place. After launching 2 new mobile apps in the same week, we needed to get away. My husband and I found Four Elements Lodging the perfect place to unplug. The cabins are beautiful and spacious. Sitting around the fire at night, looking at the stars, breathing the fresh air was so rejuvenating. The owners, Gordy and Jackie have created this inviting place to relax and enjoy some island life. We will be back!

Uhh-mazing!! The cabins were everything we were expecting; a Scandinavian-inspired getaway where you can unplug and slow down. Super clean, home-y, and a space more than suffice for two are just a few of the great ways to describe these cabins! Also, the owners of these wonderful cabins are unmatched when it comes to making you feel welcome and at home on Washington Island. Jackie and Gordon are some of the most humble and down-to-earth humans we’ve met and truly take their jobs seriously, making sure their guests have everything they need to enjoy their stay and time on the island. Highly highly highly recommend staying at Four Elements Lodging!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Four Elements. Jackie and Gordon truly made these cabins feel like a home away from home. So much detail was put into them from the decor to the special touches. Jackie made sure to go through everything with us, we really enjoyed the extra time she spent when we checked in. Would highly recommend!

This lodge just opened up this month (7/20). We stayed on Washington Island for 3 days & 2 nights. Loved the quiet & "up north" atmosphere. Cabins are brand new and look & feel like Swedish mountain cabins. Were met at the dock by the owners. By day we took the ferry to Door county (30 minute fun ride) and played, shopped, wine tasted, ate and cocktailed. At night we walked around the island, chatted with fellow guests, the owners of Four Elements and relaxed around the fire pit. Cant wait to go back in October for the colors, more good food and even more relaxing.
