Mann's Food Store

Given the limitations of living on an island Mann's nevertheless does an excellent job of stocking a good variety of food and drink (along with excellent prepared foods) at reasonable prices.

Great selection and friendly staff. Just be aware that the hours can be somewhat limited, which is pretty much on par with the business hours for most places on the island.

Thank you for making us a couple of ham and cheese sandwiches on the fly, we were on the island just for a couple of hours and couldn't find a place to eat. The food was fresh and the deli goods are very tasty plus you have a great selection of cheeses and beverages too. Very friendly staff, thanks again for taking good care of us out of towners!

Mann’s Food Store is the arguably most impressive grocery store in Wisconsin. They have great inventory with fair prices, incredibly friendly staff and the deli sandwiches are to die for! Check this place out when you’re on the island.

I love this local grocery store. The staff is so nice and the selection of local foods is why we returned a few times to stock up before we left. It is the only grocery store on the island, but they don't take advantage of that, the prices are fair and again the staff is so welcoming.

This store has everything we needed for our short stay on the island. The hours are short, so make sure you get there before 5 or you'll be waiting until the morning to get your groceries.

It's not like Walmart, but they had just the right things to make our meals and a good selection of beer and wines during stay.

Always a smile on the staff, home made brats, nice liquor selection, variety in general, Everything from fifties era Orange cream sodas to cherrywood smoking pellets. It's the only true grocery store on the island, so they try to carry all the essentials as well as catering to some unusual tastes. Closed on Sundays but that's OK, Really a great place to find a few Grilling items or beer or cheese curds in a pinch. They also sell cute little calendars for the island, using local photographers and their work. The family are Good folks, also kiddycorner to a couple of bars, restaurants and a sweets shop. Quaint, serves a function and probably the most Stark example of Main Street America, This island probably lives or dies based on the operation of this store, the Mercantile and the ferry system. Glad it's been around for so many decades.

The best grocery store on Washington Island. Once a day is not enough!

Really a life saver for all the things we forgot;) really well stocked however I never found the red bull .
Update 2022... Still has absolutely everything you need, amazing staff, amazing service and now stocked with redbull (at least Thursday mornings til Friday afternoons) absolutely great place to shop

Really nice grocery store well stocked and all kind of different products that you might need for when you're visiting the island.

You might think that the groceries you would buy on an island might be expensive. They are no more expensive than on the main land. The selection is amazing and the staff are great people who make a point to make you feel at home. I highly recommend the locally produced meats and produce!

They had everything we needed for our stay on the island. My husband & I were extra glad they also had after sun aloe gel when we realized we'd forgotten ours at home.

Friendly staff, well stocked...it's the only grocery around, so you don't have a choice but it's still really nice that the staff is kind and the options are plenty.
