Lakeside St. Coffee House

Hidden gem! This coffee house backs up to the cutest beach and park! It has beautiful views of Monona Bay and lots of gorgeous artwork throughout. There are tons of seating areas between at least 4 separate rooms. Each is unique (the store front bar area, the open floor plan coffee shop, a room in between, and at least 1 seating area in the basement). There is also ample seating outdoors, although the weather kept me indoors. There is street parking for cars, and lots of bike parking. The staff is friendly. My dirty Chai tea latte was delicious!

Great vibes and neat interior space. I got the seasonal brown sugar cinnamon latte and sat next to the window. Would love to come back in the summer.

very cute coffee shop & brunch place! there are a few different areas to sit - but finding seating can be tricky if it’s busy. room 1 has great lighting and plants, while room 2 has a great view of the lake! the basement has games and a cozier vibe. coffee and service are excellent :)

I was staying with a friend while visiting Madison and she recommended that I swing by here for a morning coffeeshop experience, and boy was she ever right! I got the turkey chipotle sandwich and it perfectly hit the spot for breakfast and my partner requested a follow-up veggie pesto and chai latte. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was an idyllic rustic boathouse with a pleasant view of the lake both indoors and out.

This cafe is absolutely beautiful. The service is fantastic and the food and coffee was outstanding, and you really can't beat the location. I drank a seasonal latte and had a breakfast sandwich on their back deck overlooking the lake, and listened to and watched the birds. It was such a pleasant experience.

this is the most beautiful little cozy coffee shop! our drinks were absolutely delicious down to the last sip, and i just had to try their scones which were also perfect!

I had the turkey sandwich with a small green salad. The food was fresh and tasty and the coffee was great. When you order coffee (drip) you have 3 options to choose from, and all three of them tasted right.

It's my favorite cafe in Madison... even when it looks busy, you can always find a spot. Zoe, Myles, and the crew always know your name.. We enjoy the iced teas, fresh coffee, and food with a flair.

Great coffee shop. Most places in Madison are always packed, but this place usually has seats available. Great coffee, good food, beautiful view of the lake. Can’t complain here.

Charming Cafe located right on the lakefront with a small walking path straight down to the beach. Ample selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, paired with a fantastic selection of craft coffee and syrups. Worth stopping by purely to enjoy the outdoor seating just slightly removed from downtown Madison.

Have only been here a few times but always enjoy it. More seats than you can fill but it still manages to get busy before lunch. Great view of the lake and has outdoor seating as well.

I’m in Madison often for work, so I’m frequently looking for coffee shops. This place in particular checked the following boxes for me - good latte, scenic, cozy, friendly, and not overly busy. It’s street parking but I had no trouble finding a spot. The staff is friendly and I found no signs of uncleanliness around the coffee shop. This is definitely going to be a place I return to.

Coffee drinks were good, food was good. The service was amazing. This place is huge with lots of space.

This is a fabulous coffeehouse. It's huge with the front having a bar with beer and wine and lots of table and chairs. Then, in the back is a room that has local art hanging on the wall, more seating options, the cafe with coffee, tea, and food menus. Off this room, there are to areas of outside seating with shade and great views. The drinks and food are tasty. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. I really enjoyed my time here this morning as I worked on my art and read a little too.

Grab a coffee and head down to the beach to dip your toes or swim. My wife and I stopped in here, ordered some yummy coffee. It was busy, which is always a sign of quality in my opinion. That being said, it did not take them long to bring our coffees out and they hit the spot!

A large old Victorian house turned into a relaxed coffee and lunch spot. I enjoyed a really good turkey sandwich and a lavendar latte. Plenty of outdoor seating under large shade trees, with breezy lake views.
