Dr. Coburn’s Tonic

Cute little spot in Woodstock with food that makes you feel at home and friendly staff. I got the grilled cheese & tomato soup and the Mac and cheese. Loved everything about this place I would definitely come back.

This place is exactly what you’d expect and want from a local restaurant with no frills. Friendly service, dependable food and a sneaky good drink menu, including the non-alcoholic drinks. My wife and I came here for lunch. She had the Coburns burger and the Athletic Brewing Free wave non-alcoholic beer (at McKenna’s suggestion). The beer was deceptively good and the burger hit the spot. I had a salad, good portion, solid flavor. If you’re looking for an easy to enjoy, relaxed atmosphere without being pretentious, this is the place in Woodstock.

Stopped in for dinner and it hit the spot. The fish tacos and coburn burger were delicious. The burger had a great combo of spicy sauce and sweet caramelized onions. One of the best meals we had on rollout trip to Vermont!

Food and service were outstanding! The waitresses even surprised my wife with a dessert with a candle without me mentioning anything and sang Happy Birthday!

Good food, fast service. We had the rueben and the burger. Both were delicious, we’d go back again and again if we lived around here. A bonus was being able to get truffle parmesan fries (hell ya brother!)

Great pub. Nice atmosphere and right in the center of Woodstock. As a bonus, they have many gluten free food choices including rolls AND a gluten free beer choice (bottle)! We stop here every time we are in Woodstock, VT.

Great central location. The host and server were very friendly, and the service was good. We had the shrimp tacos and quesadilla. Both were really good.

The food is amazing the staff are lovely vickey is amazing I fond a couple hairs in my food she got me a new one a picked up the whole 150+ dollar bill for me and my family truly a amazing place.

We stopped in Dr. Coburn’s Tonic for lunch. Lisa, our waitress, was warm, friendly and extremely nice. It was maybe, 2:00 pm? We had reservations for dinner at 6:00 that evening, so we opted for chicken soup and share a sandwich. Our favorite meal is chicken noodle soup with PB&J. However, PB&J was not on the menu. When we requested it from Lisa, she happily accommodated the both of us.

We thoroughly enjoyed the yummy food and warm hospitality. Thank you Lisa and Dr. Coburn’s Tonic! You made our trip to Woodstock a keepsake memory.

Was okay all around. Service was a bit slow considering there were only a few tables taken. The surprise was a chocolate mountain dessert with vanilla ice cream with chocolate and caramel for the 8 year old birthday we were celebrating.

Don’t believe the “bad service” reviews! We had very good service and everything we ordered was delish! Got the maple sriracha wings, a pizza, and the quesadilla.

Good food with some interesting menu choices. It's advisable to book as it does get busy. We've been here a few times as it's a reliable choice for the family.

My daughter and I had an amazing lunch here. I had the haddock and she had the lobster roll. The truffle fries were an upcharge and worth every penny! We were both more than satisfied. ( I brought half of my food home) We saved room for dessert and were glad we did. Our waitress was amazing. Everything was great, especially the ambiance. Even the upstairs bathroom
Was wicked cool. Definitely will return. The beer list was pretty good but I was driving. Next time........

We went for drinks and apps and everything was excellent. Great service, great beer and the wings were perfect.

Very good burgers I recommend the coburn burger it is delicious. The truffle fries the waitress recommended where also delicious, the staff was working hard with 2 servers and did an excellent job.

Here in April for a conference, everything else was booked. Thank Goodness! We had the most scrumptious meal! If Lisa's husband is the chef, be sure to get some vegetables, they were perfection! Burger cooked to perfection, just like we asked. So happy to have found this gem! Will probably go back tomorrow.

Great service, drinks and food! My husband and I went for lunch and each ordered a cocktail and traditional lobster roll. Lobster was fresh and DELICIOUS! We had it with the side salad to keep it light, but the truffle fries at the next table looked amazing. We have dined at other restaurants in the area...and found this to be one of the best, both atmosphere and food. Definitely check it out!

People seem to be losing their entitled minds with the negative reviews of this business.

Yes wait times are long, yes you will be sat at your table for a while before you are attended to, but guess what?

NOWHERE can hire staff right now, so be grateful that you can eat out and there is enough of a staff that are available to serve you.

If you don't want to deal with waits and sometimes less than great food, then use that space at your home called a kitchen!

My husband and I went here for dinner last night and we were skeptical due to all the bad reviews that were posted over the last few months. We are glad we gave it a chance because it was the best meal we had on our trip to Vermont. I had the lobster roll and the choice to add capers and lemon was genius and it was truly the best lobster roll I’ve had in years (and I’m from MA). My husband had a burger and they cooked it to perfection. The fries were crispy, the cocktail I had was made beautifully. Our waitress was very attentive and we have zero complaints. We would come back anytime and recommend it to anyone!!
