Wise Pines

I live locally to Wise Pines and have had the great pleasure of spending a fair amount of time there enjoying a variety of activities.

Chelsey's yoga classes are my my favorite. They are small and more personal and she offers so many options for modifications and encourages you to listen to your own body and do what feels good. I never liked yoga until I attended classes with Chelsey!

I have been to a few special events at Wise Pines and the atmosphere and the vibe are just the very best. The lodge is my favorite space and I feel like when I walk through the door to that space that my heart expands (like The Grinch!). The food is always amazing, and I am always up for trying anything they offer.

I recently stayed in the bunk house this winter with a group of friends for a special weekend. We had an amazing time and were well cared for by Jon and Chelsey!

I highly recommend for a getaway, a yoga class, and definitely recommend attending a special event when they come up on the calendar!

You know that you will be greeted with a smile and a warm hug when entering Wise Pines. From the rolling driveway, being able to watch the leaves change as the seasons move on, to stepping foot into the common area and just feeling the love that was poured into creating this space. It's nothing short of a big hug.

Make sure to check out and take one of Chelsey's yoga classes. From slow movement to absolutely pushing yourself. She encourages you throughout it all, helps with little mindful reminders and helps you know that you absolutely can do it.

If you're lucky enough to watch Jon turn some bowls while at your stay or even check his work out, please do. You'll be able to check that smile of appreciation for his work. It electric and the feelings are surely to be passed on to you.

Staying here is nothing less than getting that warm hug, the property is healing and you really know that this family has poured the love and soul into the land so that all are to enjoy it.

I'm excited to watch what this family brings to the town of Woodstock and how they blossom Wise Pines.

Biggest advice, just go. Stay and experience the love and kindness of Chelsey, Jon and family.

Exceeded expectations! I stayed one night, so I could ski a second day at Okemo (40 mins away). I was on my own so I just booked 1 bunk in the barn, at a very reasonable price. I was expecting something basic, just a place to lay my head, but the reality was way better. The barn looks rustic from the outside, but the inside was modern and cozy. I brought extra clothes just in case, but I actually had to turn the heating down and just used a sheet and a thin blanket (lots of extras if needed). It happened to be a night where I was the only guest in the barn, and I arrived late, so I didn't get to meet the hosts. Everything was in place though, with clear instructions delivered via email. I had a nice hot shower in the morning and I was off to ski. I did nose into the Lodge on the way out, and it looked cozy too. I was envious of other reviewers regarding breakfast. Penalty for staying in the off season and early in the week...no breakfast. I'll definitely come back during the hiking season for that!

Are you looking for somewhere unique? Somewhere cool with a yoga studio and goats? A place where you can even sleep in a treehouse? Then this is the place for you!

It’s a family-owned place on land near their home. Everything was easy and personalized. I would absolutely come back here. And when my seven year-old is strong enough to carry a backpack ten years from now, I look forward to making this a stopover on our AT hike.

Easily one of my favorite hostels from my 2022 AT thru hike. Their bunk room, kitchen, bathrooms, etc were extremely clean and much more modern than some other hostels. Their chef Alex makes amazing meals from their garden and the one of the owners led a very peaceful yoga session for us. The yoga studio also has oversized bean bags and a projector that made for a really fun movie night. Wise Pines is very reasonably priced for the high quality of accommodations. Awesome place to have a very restful break from the trail. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area!

This weekend, I got to stay at the tree house for the second time and it was such a wonderful experience! The owners are so kind, the breakfast was delicious & GF, the room was clean, and the whole environment was welcoming and cozy. There are many amenities in the room such as water, a refrigerator, and the bed was so comfortable. I loved my stay and can’t wait to return. Thank you again for such a great stay!

If you're considering a stay in the Upper Valley, you've come to the right place! Wise Pines is such an asset to the community and travelers alike. Their space is truly unique, beautiful, and so thoughtfully curated. They have everything you need to make your stay in the area an absolute pleasure. And, Chelsey and Jon are the absolute best! They are endlessly generous, professional, and a true joy to work with. Thank you for all you do.

Really magical spot!! The spaces were super clean and tidy, everything was so thoughtful. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and Chelsey was such a kind and generous host. I will definitely be back to this slice of heaven!

We stayed here for a night during an 11 day road trip and it was perfect! The hosts have thought of everything and the property is gorgeous AND affordable.

My wife and I just left this morning and we are already talking about going back. We only stayed one night but honestly wish it had been longer.

We lucked out and we had the whole barn to ourselves for the night. It was very clean and comfortable and check in/out was super easy. Breakfast in the morning prepared by the Inn Keeper, Alex, was amazing. Almost all the ingredients were grown on their property, and the eggs were from their hens.

This place deserves 10 stars. We were very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. And the pricing was a tremendous value. We hope to come back in the future.

we booked the bunk room and it was super cute!! Nice and sturdy bunk beds and spinning sofa chairs <3 will deffo be back and hopefully be in one of the tree houses next time.

I had a fantastic indoor camping experience! The hosts were incredibly accommodating, always available, and super helpful. I would definitely choose to camp there again for a great time.

My hiking partner and I stayed a night here at Wise Pines a few days ago...we are soooo happy we did 😀 We were shuttled from the Appalachian Trail, along with other hikers, directlt into town to resupply and then onto the hostel.... a nice hot shower and included laundry really made our night off the trail wonderful. Sharing the common room with other guests was nice to decompress and connect with.
Wise Pines is truly a labor of love that we fell blessed to have experienced 🙏 Will return next time we are in Vermont!

Amazing stay off the Appalachian Trail. My husband and I are hiking, and have been hampered by some injuries. The hosts were so sweet and accommodating, picking us up by the trail in Pomfret and offering to help however they could. Having access to their yoga studio for stretching was an added bonus! Honestly goes to show that the trail is magical, but the people behind the AT are what make it so special.
Everything was very clean, toiletries provided, and breakfast was outstanding! This is clearly a labor of love and a passion project. If you want to get a taste of VT kindness and generosity, you will not regret staying here. We left with clean clothes, full hearts, and happy tummies😋

Amazing experience, I’ll recommend this location to anyone that is considering visiting Woodstock, it’s worth it, the location especially beautiful, spending the night listening to the sounds of the trees was amazing, I’m definitely considering coming back later this year

We always have an amazing experience at Wise Pines. Last night we attended their 1st Harvest Dinner. The food was excellent, the ambiance was so cozy, the beer and wine pairings were lovely, and my favorite part of the evening was sharing it all with a wonderful group of people. We made new friends, and cannot wait to go back. Cannot recommend them enough. You will absolutely love Chelsey, Jon and Alex!

Oh!!! This property is sooooo gorgeous. My daughter and I loved staying in the treehouse. The garden is amazing!!! Chelsey and her family have such a wonderful retreat, and the chef Alex is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful B&B. We loved staying in the treehouse, looking up at the stars, and enjoying a home-cooked breakfast in the morning. We'll be back!

I had the most amazing experience at Wise Pines and being in their Tree House. Waking up in the middle of the night to realize where I was - on top of the world and tucked cozily in bed - was nothing like I have ever experienced. A true delight. I can't wait to do it again.
