A wonderful place - and extraordinary great, friendly people. They have put so much personality in their cabins. All new and well done. A gem.

This place on the lake was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was simple, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The owners were friendly, kind, and accommodating. The main house has a great game room that we used when it rained, and a dining area. The kids took out a kayak and had a blast swimming and fishing off the dock. What a great spot!

My wife and I stayed in September 2022 and we couldn’t have been more comfortable and relaxed. The Anchorage had beautiful, well maintained grounds and and the cabin was very cozy. The whole setting was quiet and rustic, which is exactly what we hoped for. The owners were so friendly and really made our stay pleasant. When you look at maps, the Anchorage looks out of the way but it was really conveniently located: far enough to be quiet, but close enough that Burlington was a short scenic drive that we were happy to make each day.

Give them your business if you head that way, you won’t regret it.

Beautiful surroundings right on Lake Champlain. Cabin was so clean and comfortable with a screened in porch. Management were so nice and helpful. Great place to stay. So friendly and inexpensive too!

The couple that owns the property are super kind. We are staying in a 2 bedroom, 4 bed cabin and it is super cute and has a home type feel. The property is about 6 acres and is absolutely beautiful. It's off season right now so we are one of the only guests but I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. It's only a 25 min drive to downtown Burlington too!

This year was our second at The Anchorage the property and it's owners are top notch. The purpose of our trip was to do some pine fishing, they are conveniently located approx 1 mile from a public launch. No boat jo problem, as they do guided fishing trips. They have so much to offer and a nice peaceful, beautiful setting. We have stayed in two different cabins, both were very clean, in excellent condition, comfortable and well laid out. Everything is super clean and well kept. The additional amenities include the main lodge with a huge dining area, tv/lounge room, fish cleaning station, and The Ice house which houses a large freezer, washer and dryer ($2.50 per appliance per load) I also noticed a shuffleboard out front, they even have free wifi for the guests. If your looking for wonderful amenities, peaceful and quiet atmosphere at a reasonable price, The Anchorage is the place to be, I would never stay anywhere else.

This place is so peaceful and beautiful. Owner is hospitable. Makes sure you have everything you'll need for your stay. Very relaxing.

Came here for the first time a few weeks ago. Cute cabins in South Hero on Lake Champlain. Owners are great hosts. You have the option to get breakfast, served in the main building for an additional fee. Totally worth it! Quiet place, peaceful. We had access to our own picnic table, charcoal grill and firepit. You can buy wood or very easily find it within minutes of traveling around South Hero. Definitely recommend.

Besides the cleanliness being over the top, the lovely cabin we rented was very comfortable! Comfortable to today’s standards but felt like we were experiencing a bit of Vermont camping history.
Highly recommend & looking forward to next year’s vacation already!

Lovely stay! Honestly can't say enough good stuff about it. Clean cabin that's recently updated, gorgeous views and the owners are amazing. Gave us good recommendations on things to do and breakfast was fab!

The Anchorage is a great place for a quiet getaway. It's conveniently located on beautiful Lake Champlain & a short distance from the interstate. The cabins & grounds are very well taken care of. The owners were attentive & welcoming during our entire stay. We enjoyed the beautiful lake views along with swimming, fishing, grilling & renting a boat. This was a wonderful getaway that has given us so many memories to remember. We will definitely be staying with you again.

We had our wedding and reception at the Anchorage on September 21st 2019 and it was a huge success! We were their first wedding, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Dave and Melissa are super helpful and fun to be around, and the whole venue was perfect. Everything we wanted for our wedding! The cabins are also immaculately clean, and they were very accommodating to the needs of our guests. They even cooked an amazing breakfast for us and our wedding party/family the day of our wedding! We couldn’t possibly put into words how beautiful and perfect our experience was for our big day, and we definitely plan to come back in the future!

Awesome location on Lake Champlain, close convienent stores,a few small bars and was a very quick trip to Burlington whenever needed!

Very clean and updated cabins, very friendly staff always around the properties. Nice quiet area and loved having our own fire pit, chairs, porch and charcoal grille all on location!

My husband, Michael, and I stayed at Melissa and Dave's Chipmunk cabin for 4 nights. They are amazing hosts! The cabin had a screened-in porch, a propane pot-belly stove (which we DID use), a queen-sized bed, and other comfy accommodations! SOFT towels, crisp bedsheets, college-sized refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffee maker (along with an assortment of provided Keurig cups). With Dave's knowledge and expertise, we were able to visit a variety of fishing spots and caught some giants! Both Dave and Melissa are knowledgeable and enjoyable conversationalists. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to an October visit. P.S. (They also have a game room, pool table, washing machine, TV room, etc.) An awesome, comfortable, and enjoyable mini-vacation!

Great spot for my husband to fish and explore the lake while I shop and relax. We love traveling together when we can and this location is perfect for all the things we like to do. Antiques and wineries around in the summer and gorgeous views of Lake Champlain. The new owners are gearing up for their first summer, I think they will do well. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Whether you are looking to host a large family reunion or a quiet retreat on beautiful Lake Champlain, The Anchorage is the place to be. Our family recently held a family reunion of 45 at The Anchorage. I can honestly say it could not have been a better place to have our large family gathering. The younger generation, a well as all generations truly enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, swimming, jumping off the swim dock and of course boating. Don't have a kayak, canoe or boat? Don't worry , The Anchorage has all of these on site at a affordable cost! Tired of being at the lake? The recreation room has a pool table, ping pong table, dart board and TV. They also have yard games as well and a great outdoor fire pit. What really makes The Anchorage special is the owners, David and Melissa. They truly made us feel welcomed, like family actually. David and Melissa always had a smile on their faces and always asked if we needed anything. David makes the best blueberry pancakes and the dinning room is bright and cheerful. Thank you David and Melissa once again for all that you did to make sure our family reunion is one that we will always remember. You will not be disappointed for your next vacation, family reunion, quick weekend get-away.....The Anchorage is THE place to be.

Very cosy, clean, beautiful setting, quiet, delicious breakfasts. The hosts are super people...friendly, helpful and very informative about places to visit, eat and just enjoy Vermont.
