I have been skiing for close to 60 years....purchasing new ski boots has always been a big thorn in my side . My friends recommended The Boot Pro so I took them up on it. I have to tell you it was the best experience I have ever had. The boot fitter that I worked with asked the right questions and really listened to my responses to be able to understand the type of skier I was. He recommended a few boots, all of them would have worked but one just felt right. I had them custom fit which was an added bonus. I have yet to be back for any adjustments. Although this boot fitter is young, the knowledge he demonstrated regarding the equipment and process was awesome. The owners of the shop are ensuring their staff are well trained to be able to assist skiers of all abilities make an informed decision regarding the equipment. I can't thank Boot Pro and their staff enough for making this experience better than I could have ever hoped for and I strongly recommend them.

The Boot Pro in Ludlow is the best place on the east coast for boot fitting. They will go above and beyond your expectations to make sure you have the right boot that fits perfectly! My son and I both did a fitting in November 2023 and could not be happier. Our fitting also required adjustments to our ski bindings that the team went out of their way to ensure everyone was done perfectly and that same day so we could hit the slopes. Service does not stop after the sale. They want you to ski the boots several times and then come back if there are any areas that are a little tight or rub and they do more custom adjustments to ensure your boots are perfectly fitted to your feet.
If you are on the fence about getting custom fitted ski boots, DO IT, you won't be sorry you did. And getting it done at the Boot Pro ensures success.

Stopped in this past weekend, wasn't sure if I was going to get new boots or not. Boot Pro's fitter, Nate, helped me out. He was super patient, EXTREMELY knowledgeable and set me up with a new pair. I wore them for a few hours at home and had some pinch points. Brought them back next day, Nate made some adjustments to the shell. When I took them out skiing for about 6 hrs, they fit perfectly, and performed great! Anyone knows that ski boots are a big investment, and the people at Boot Pro will ensure that your money is spent well. Highly recommend to anyone in the market for new boots! Thank you Boot Pro!

This place is legit. I took my boots here to get them dialed in before I gave up on them completely. I have somewhat of an extraordinary foot shape and as soon as Nate started to assess my foot and the problems I’d been having, I knew I was at the right place. Took my newly fitted shells, liners and custom insoles to Jackson Hole a few weeks later and did not have any of the problems I had been previously experiencing. In fact, I barely noticed the boots were on when we stopped for apres. They were THAT dialed in. A million thanks. There is nothing like a ski boot that fits right and this place will make it happen for you.

Great shop! My inner sole liners ripped off and were bunching up. I ripped them off and it was hard to get my feet in the boots. My feet were sticking and forcing my socks to bunch up. Went to 3 shops and the Okemo rental shop and no one could help me till I come into Boot Pro Ski & Bike. I was in and out within 20 minutes and they installed them both for $12. I was so happy and will be able to ski Mt. Snow tomorrow. Thank you Boot Pro's!

14 on a 10-point scale. Even after a heat fitting at a shop at a major Colorado resort my new boots hurt. Boot Pro staff fixed them. I got the orthotics and they "blew out" the pressure point in each shell. My feet feel great and the form-fitting orthotics help my skiing. Heaven. Thanks! Paul Riehemann

Great ski and bike shop! The best boot fitter I have ever been to. The staff are professional, amazingly knowledgeable and friendly. They also offer mountain bike service, rentals, demos and guided rides! I really enjoyed demoing a specialized ebike on a guided ride. Shon showed us all the great trails and clearly knew the place like the back of his hand. Can't recommend this place enough.

Can't say enough good things about the Boot Pro team. They are the best in the Northeast and have amazing selection of boots (and all types of gear). Their process was very thorough and it was clear their aim was to get me in the right boot, and not make the biggest sale. Don't waste your time elsewhere - go to Boot Pro!

I have flat feet and always had boot issues... Went to Boot Pro for a custom fitting and insert... total gamechanger. Brian Firstbrook fitted me a couple of weeks ago in Atomics. I can't be more appreciative, changed everything for me. Love the boots, the fit is wildly comfortable all day, and the boot has had an amazing impact on my ski ability. What a difference. Tx Brian!!! -Doug

Great boot shop with amazing employees. They all took their time to see what we needed and help my wife with boots. The owner is a great guy and the shop has all the hard goods you will need before a day on the mountain

We went to The Boot Pro recently as part of the VARA Ski Weekend to get our daughter geared up for the 2023-2024 season. First, despite it being very busy with all of the families doing what we were, we were quickly greeted by the owners of the shop and made to feel incredibly welcome. We then got helped quickly to make a determination that yes, she'd need a new set of skis, but that her existing boots would work for another year. It was great to not feel upsold and instead everyone took interest in skiing ability and progress, despite her racing for a "rival" team (we ski at Stratton instead of Okemo).

And then, on top of that, they happened to have a perfect set of skis for my wife, who's been in the market for a new set to replace her beloved Volkls but perform better in mixed conditions and when we head out west. They had a quiver of one ski that was well within budget given it was a 22-23 season ski.

The knowledge, expertise, friendliness, and price competitiveness combine to make The Boot Pro the single best ski shop I've ever had the pleasure of walking through in 20+ years of working in the outdoor industry. We'll be coming back for sure!

Perhaps the most knowledgable staff and best service I've had at any retail outlet. In general you'll pay full retail here but the value that the staff adds to help you pick the right product is well worth it. Over several visits for different items, I worked with four different people who all were excellent. One of the younger staffers who perhaps didn't have all of the product information yet wasn't afraid to say that she didn't know the answers to some questions and also took the initiative to pull in someone else who had more expertise. This is my new go to for anything ski related. Most products are upstairs but ski services downstairs. Don't let the small size fool you, they have a thorough product selection. Highly recommended.

My first time skiing a year back, my feet were killing me from rental boots. Found out my feet were a little different from left to right. Wanted to buy custom fitted boots. My realtor Frank sent to Boot Pro for such. Came out under my budget and had a much better experience second time skiing. Left the mountain in no pain. Avery and Shon were quite thorough in educating me on many of the factors for boot selection, how to properly take boots on and off, how to buckle before and after skiing, selling me the right boot for my feet. What a different experience skiing is in the right booth. Highly recommend Boot Pro in Ludlow. Very patient and friendly folks here.

My wife Ginny and I have been skiers for decades. In October 2021, the planets aligned (or misaligned) and we both needed skis and boots. I’d done some research and decided to try BootPro. For skis, Matt Tripp at BootPro suggested some Rossi Experiences for Ginny and a different Rossi for me. We demo’d both. Ginny loved hers but I was looking for a quicker turning ski. After a conversation with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Randy Haskell, I demo’d and bought Stockli’s.
Then came the boots. Back to Matt. This guy is a Master Bootfitter in every sense of the word Master. After talking with us about our needs, he fitted us both to different models from Nordica. Ginny’s fit perfectly and were really comfortable. She had some trouble getting them on and off, but Matt showed her the trick. Mine needed some adjustment over the 2021-2022 winter so I went back to Matt. He was always very professional and kept at it until we got it so that they were really comfortable. In a high performance boot this isn’t easy.
This winter 2022-2023, the inner boot had naturally compressed after a year’s use so I needed more adjustments. Shon, the owner, Matt and one or two others help figure out how to do the adjustments. I’ve never met anyone so excited about getting the fit right as Matt. The result is that I have the most comfortable performance boots that I have ever owned in the decades that I’ve been skiing.
BootPro is the most skilled and professional ski shop I’ve ever dealt with. We also bought new helmets and goggles, and again was helped by really knowledgeable people. Their service is the best I’ve seen. If you need boots, Matt is absolutely the person to see but everyone there is great. I really appreciate the help and friendly service we’ve gotten. They sell you quality equipment and stick with you until everything is perfect. Our thanks go out to Shon, Matt and the team.

Great shop! I got two pairs of boots from here last season. A pair of back country boots and a pair of downhill boot. They took the time to get me in the right boots and modified them for my feet.

Also the ski tuning service is phenomenal. Randy and his crew downstairs revived a pair of skis I thought were done.

I’ve moved west and will miss this shop.

We had an amazing day with the Boot Pro guide. Could we have followed a map or used an app to run the trails we rode, sure. But, with the guide, we were gunning corners and accelerating for ascents based upon the guide's moves. It made for a very different experience on trails that were new to us. We would never have ridden the downhills as aggressively as we did if we had not had the guide. Since we have not biked southern VT trails before, we will likely use a BP guide when we come back.

After many years, my husband and I decided to take a look at new boots. We both have "odd" feet when it comes to ski boots, and Matt spent a great deal of time helping us figure out which boots were the most comfortable while also delivering the performance we wanted. Custom footbeds completed the process. Skiing today with the new boots was a revelation - it was much less work on our legs, and we both felt like we were skiing better. Watching Matt work was amazing. He is highly knowledgeable and has a great deal of patience. BootPro's prices were pretty competitive with what we have seen at other ski shops in the area, and a 30% sale also helped considerably. Sure, you can probably find the same boots online for a cheaper price, but you would need to know exactly what boot you wanted, and then you would still need to take the boots to a bootfitter for finetuning. BootPro is the way to go!

Here's the deets - if you just want to get any pair of boots that semi-feel good on your feet and hit the mountain, this is NOT the place for you.

However, if you are in need of boots and want to take the time to be properly fitted (really, who wouldn't?) by someone who knows the products they are selling, understands the intricacies associated with matching the foot to the "right" boot, takes the time to ask all the questions and explain everything in layman's terms, and gives dedicated attention to the customer, then this is the place to go.

A little history - I bought a pair of boots from The Boot Pro about 12 years ago. Matt helped set me up with the right pair & fit and my skiing that year practically instantly improved.

Fast forward to 2022 - time for a new pair for both myself and my husband. Ok, ok, probably past time but I digress.....

I was very clear with my husband I would ONLY go to The Boot Pro based upon my previous experience with them. It didn't matter they're 6 hours from where we live in NJ ; it was this shop or nothing so we took a quick trip two weeks before Christmas.

Arrived at the shop first thing in the morning and who helps us but Matt. Which made me happy because I remembered my experience with him the last time around. It took about four hours for Matt to find the "perfect" boot for me and my husband. A lot of "I like this but not this and if we could combine this with that, we'd have the perfect boot" but Matt was patient and understanding, hearing our concerns and working hard to put us in the right boot for our feet and our skills. Of course, we went with custom foot beds which again, reflecting back on my previous experience, are a must.

Admittedly, we also wound up with new skis & bindings (NOT planned) but, well, you can't take it with you, amiright?

As luck would have it, it was snowing the next day when we picked up our new gear and we headed right up to the mountain to test drive our new setups for a few hours. Keeping in mind it takes a few days to truly break the boots in (and it takes me a few days to "learn" my new skis and build a trusting relationship with them), we were thrilled with our new acquisitions. The best part for me was not having to listen to my husband complain about his boots hurting his feet. Whew.....that in and of itself is a win!

Another quick note - while I was wandering the store "testing" my new boots, every staff member I encountered was friendly and certainly knowledgeable about the stock from goggles to socks and everything in between. It's refreshing as a customer, to experience true customer service but you'll find nothing less at The Boot Pro.

This shop will continue to receive my business despite being so far from us. It takes a lot to earn my trust as a customer but they have it.

Just go with the pro

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF). Shon and his team are consulate professionals. They have extensive experience, have high candor, and will spend the time with you making sure you get the setup you need, or the boot fit of your dreams. They help greatly with the decision-making of purchasing equipment. You want this because the last thing you need is a high-dollar investment that will not work for you. Their prices are extremely reasonable in comparison to area and the industry.

They will treat you like a friend (they do NOT upsell without reason, and have NO sales pressure), and provide advice as such. Don’t bother going anywhere else. His team are pros and they treat you like family.

Also, Don’t just take my word for it, Shon and his team do such a good job, they were recognized NATIONALLY in Skimag as one of the best in the Nation.

Long version.

Experience - I was blown away by Shon and his team’s knowledge, and extensive experience. I learned so much more than I ever thought I would, and I do a large volume of research prior to buying anything. From the fitting to skiing. You’re going to get to schooled in the best way possible.

Prices - They will not try to upsell you, and provide advice and suggestions with incredible candor and know-how. Let’s be honest, skiing is expensive, but the equipment matters. It can turn a fun day on to the slopes of one of misery if your boots suck or you are on the wrong skis. Shon and his team will guide you to what you need and provide decision-making advice you can rely on. You are going to get what you need.

Boot fitting - Long time Skiier, first time having ski boots professionally fitted. Massive difference and I regret so much having spent the last 10 years thinking I was doing the right thing by putting in my own insoles and baking boots my own. The quality of my custom insole that Shon and his team made for me is incredible and will last me several years, if not more. The insole will definitely make me a better Skiier. Yes, I can say that definitively. The boot fit he did subsequently is not just good - it’s exceptional. Wayyyyy better than I thought was possible. It’s gonna help me RIP while also staying super comfortable. Did not think this was possible before walking into this hop.

Equipment selection - He has an extensive lineup with the best skis brands in the industry. They not only have daily rippers but have the gamut of somewhat niche skis. You want a great beginner ski that can grow with you - Check. You want pow skis that will give you time of your life - check. You want a backcountry set up - ohh yea they got it. They even have race skis if you’re into that kind of thing.

Also, my personal opinion determined through this experience at this shop. Skiing is one of the few sports where it is a HORRIBLE idea to buy nearly anything online (and I buy EVERYTHING ONLINE). Frankly, in this industry, you’re likely to not even save money. Go to this local, family-run ski shop. You’re going to pay the same price (with mounting and boot fitting likely included) except receive EXCELLENT SERVICE and PROFESSIONAL ADVICE and get exactly what you need.

I am so pumped for this set up (80 frontside/20 backcountry) that Shon helped me with. He has made me a believer. I forever will go to this shop, recommend them to my friends and family, and take my family there for equipment.

Also, Don’t just take my word for it, Shon and his team do such a good job, they were recognized NATIONALLY in Skiman as one of the best in the Nation.
