The Palms Restaurant

Downtown Rutland, this is an unexpected spot to find such quality Italian food. The feel was very authentic and the service was wonderful. It’s easy to see how they’ve been in business for so long. I got the chicken parmigiana and it was incredible. The portions were more than enough as we both had leftovers.

The food was great, especially the prime rib, and mashed potatoes. But we also enjoyed the wing appetizers! Fast, friendly, efficient service as well!

Absolutely love this restaurant! John and Jerri are wonderful hosts, the food is delicious and the staff are friendly and professional. Highly recommend this great family restaurant.

I went here with my family, like about a week ago. And the service was amazing! The food was good, the people were nice, and the setting of the restaurant was very nice looking. If you're around there, would recommend to stop by!

Delicious traditional Italian standards with friendly service.

We used to go here for date nights. It’s not always perfect and I thought about giving a four-star review, but there’s no 4-and-3/4 rating. I love this place and its Italian feel. I grew up in Connecticut in an Italian neighborhood and the Palms would fit right in. The food is generally excellent, though, like I said, not always perfect. Here’s why I give it five stars: it’s one of the restaurants I miss in Rutland. I no longer live close to Rutland but it’s almost worth the two-hour drive each way. It’s a very solid spot and I think you’ll generally enjoy it. The pizza is always top-notch.

Amazing meatballs. Great service. At 5:30 p.m. on a Friday we were asked if we had a reservation (we did not) but we were seated anyway. But 20 minutes later, we heard people being seated at the bar only because reservations were about to come in. So plan accordingly. Everything was great. Service above reproach.

5 stars may be a bit much for this place, but it definitely surprised us. The decor is a bit tacky, but, this Rutland, not a center of sophistication. The food was quite good, and the service was great. Very low key and comfortable.

What a fabulous experience at this cute little place! Our Server Maycala was terrific! Such a polite and spot on Server! The cuisine was equally wonderful! Would go again and again if I lived here!

While in Vermont for a wedding we came across The Palms... Couldn't have been more excited about our choice. Stunning food and incredible service in a quaint home grown environment. If we’re ever back in the area we’ll be stopping here.

Best pizza I've had in the Rutland area since moving from Philadelphia area over a year back. I'm very picky about my pizza, and this is one of the closest I've had to my Italian mother's homemade pizza. Couldn't be happier to discover their pizza.

Such a cute, quaint romantic place to eat!!!!! The ambiance is great and the food is amazing!!!! The linguine and clams were DELICIOUS!! If you love quality italian food, this is the place to be!!

Group of six went here after a day of skiing and it was excellent. Fiddlehead on tap, and the pasta, pizza, and salads were very good. Friendly service.

The food was a little highly priced but for the atmosphere and the incredibly kind and accomodating staff it was VERY worth it! Im a hard person to impress but Ill be a regular there!
