I had a delicious sandwich (Reuben). The staff were delightful, friendly, and accommodating. They treated me and my pup very well ❤.

I come to Vermont from Texas to visit my daughter and son-in-law and every time I'm here I HAVE to have a turkey sandwich from Ernie's. I don't know what kind of magic they use but I'm hooked! Staff is great and the place is cozy with big windows!

Very unassuming little place but holy moly are the sandwiches good! Everyone at the counter was patient as I poured over the menu, they made suggestions and were overall very helpful. The sandwiches really are handcrafted and made with care. It’s nothing fancy, just paper plates and a few small tables but comfortable and clean. I did wait about 15 minutes for my sandwich at peak lunch time but it’s worth the wait.

Best sandwiches in Vermont. My order is simple just turkey, mayo and tomato, but the meat is so good it doesn’t need anything else. Don’t sleep on their cookies. Oatmeal is delicious. They have on the street parking. Like the surrounding area.

I bet you most of them will say because you need something other than processed food to eat was the reason they open their restaurant. The owners of this restaurant portrayed that in their food.

In a word, DELICIOUS. The chicken bacon club is a strong contender for the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Blows we away that their Google reviews is only a 4.9

Went to lunch with my friend wanted something different so went to Ernies. Had to wait for a table because it was lunchtime but very worth the wait. The bread they use is so good and the corn beef is to die for almost melts in your mouth. I have been going there for several years and never had a bad meal and the people are great. It’s a friendly clean place to go and soon they are going to have outdoor seating. How perfect is that. 😎

My favorite place to go, sandwiches taste amazing. The meat Ernie cooks is mouthwatering and melts in your mouth. I highly recommend! Plus the atmosphere and customer service is the best in town. Bet you can’t have just one of his sandwiches!

They are starting to make gluten free deserts! Got to try a chocolate chip cookie today and I couldnt tell the difference. I'm so happy I have found a place that undertsnds gluten and other food allergies. Their sandwiches are also super amazing. Friendly people! Go check them out and order from them on door dash!.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. We were not disappointed. She had a delicious pulled pork sandwich, and I the pastrami reuben. Both were delicious.

Wow!! The Rueben was spectacular! Also, the turkey vegetable soup!! We came in before we gave blood and felt ready to go!! Highly recommend, plus they are really sweet people!!

Had lunch here earlier this week. We ordered the soup of the day and sandwhich specials of the day. Excellent quality of food. We are not living in Vermont but would recomend this little gem to anyone.

Ernie's is my go to for lunch. Have been there countless times and the food is excellent, service is friendly and it's quick. It's nice to watch your food being made FRESH right in front of you. Ernie's is a staple in the Rutland community.

I just found this place and have already been back! Great, freshly-made sandwiches. For mid-December, I was shocked by how good and juicy the tomato in my sandwich was.
