Savannah Inn

Had an excellent 2 night stay at this boutique inn! Marie was incredible and the food and hospitality was top notch. Loved the relaxing atmosphere and all the amenities, as well as the great location. The owner Jim was incredibly nice, and Jana was super responsive when we had a minor issue. Overall wonderful, and would definitely stay again!

Superb... Simply Superb!!! This was my wife's and my first time staying at this Inn while we were in town. The authentically kind and heartfelt hospitality extended to us by the Inn's host, Marie, began during a phone call even prior to our arrival. She reached out to us by phone days before to ensure that everything would be just right! The Inn itself and our room were immacuately clean and beautiful-- thanks to Bobbi, the wonderful housekeeper there. The Happy Hour provided by the Inn was a generously welcome surprise, especially inasmuch as we don't typically see this at other Inns/B&Bs during our travels elsewhere. After a good night's sleep in our well appointed and very quiet third floor room, we were greeted by Cindy's excellently-prepared and creatively-presented breakfast. What a delicious way to finish our stay. Overall, this was one of our best experiences ever at an Inn such as this. The beautiful accommodations set the tone. But it was the incredible staff that ultimately made this an occasion to remember. Thank You!!! We will definitely be back.

My wife and I had an excellent 2 night anniversary stay at the Savannah Inn! Jana was wonderful to work with in setting up our special stay. The Inn was beautiful, clean and well maintained. Marie was a fantastic host and the breakfasts she prepared were absolutely delicious. Additionally, there was a happy hour every day during which we met the owners, Jana & Jim, who were lovely and provided great recommendations about the town. The Inn is very close to the beach, the biking/running trail, and all the shops and restaurants in downtown. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place to stay in Lewes, DE!

Excellent B&B. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by Marie who made us feel right at home. The house is absolutely gorgeous and very clean. The breakfast prepared by Marie each morning was delicious. Happy hour every day was an extra special treat. The location is perfect. Close to all the restaurants and shops. You will not be disappointed when staying at this lovely inn.

We had an excellent 4-night stay at the Savannah Inn! Jana and Marie were both fantastic hosts and we will definitely be coming back in the future. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and they had a happy hour every day of the week - what more can you ask for? It is also located very close to the beach, the biking/running trail, and all the cute shops and restaurants in town. They also have 2 bikes on site for you to use should you want to ride around town and explore. Overall our stay was a 10/10 and I will recommend them to anyone looking for a place to stay at the beach!

Amazing weekend! Everyone was so nice, the inn was so clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious!

Fantastic place! The property was expertly refurbished and modernized, so Victorian charm outside with excellent amenities inside. And the room was quiet! I've stayed at expensive hotels that were noisier. Everyone was accommodating, eager to make sure we were comfortable, fed and happy. We were an easy 20 minute drive from Baywood Country Club where we attended a wedding, an easy walk from the quaint downtown area for browsing and food, and the walk to the beach was only about 10 minutes. We will definitely be back!

What a DELIGHT! This was a lovely inn to stay for a few days and explore Lewes' second street. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, and treated everyone as family. Breakfasts were filling and delicious. The Captain's nook is a sweet comfortable room; I liked the bathroom and the shower.

Happy hour was also really nice to lounge around on the porches and common areas with some wine and snacks. It was all too cute, and we'll definitely be back!

We had a perfect stay here. I don’t have one complaint. Mary and Diane were awesome, kind hosts. The included breakfast each day was delicious and super filling. Our room was cozy and impeccably kept. There were many touches in our room and throughout the inn that made us feel comfortable in this COVID environment: lots of sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer, and everyone wearing masks in common areas. Plus, the inn’s location, within walking distance to the beach, bike trails and shops/restaurants, is just perfect. We’ll be back!

Our stay at Savannah Inn was very pleasant. The house is gorgeous with wrap around porches. The location is perfect, close to the beach, nice restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the daily breakfast in the morning and the happy hour in the afternoon. Innkeeper Mary did a great job providing variety of food selections each day. Our suite is vary clean, roomy and tastefully decorated. We felt we were very well taken care of during our stay. We highly recommend this place and will be back if we visit the area again.

We just recently stayed for 2 nights at The Savannah inn bed and breakfast in Lewes De let me say the experience was the absolute best. Marion made the most fantastic homemade breakfasts each morning. Every detail was top notch. The inn is a fabulous property inside and out. Impecable owner and staff let me just say you feel like family and you could also say that Marion's heart is totally in running the Savannah inn and you can tell. We can't wait to go back and will tell everyone we know that's the only BNB to stay at. EVER.

This was our first time staying here and it truly went beyond our expectations, having stayed in many B&B's and AirBnb's. The level of cleanliness, decor, comfort, hospitality and breakfast is outstanding. They go above and beyond to serve a breakfast that meets your dietary requests, recommend a restaurant for dinner, and simply make you feel at home! We did not meet the owner, Marion, but did have the opportunity to chat with Mary..delightful!

This was our 2nd time in Lewes and also at the Savannah Inn. My wife and I love it here! At 6’4”, I’m a big guy. We’ve stayed at other B&Bs where quarters were cramped... but the rooms are spacious here. Plus, you’ll have the charm of an old building but with completely modern amenities and none of the “antique-y feel” of vacationing at your grandmother’s house. The innkeeper, Mary, is awesome and she cooks the most amazing breakfast with attention to detail. My wife has a nut allergy and Mary accommodates with ease. This year, our visit was during the 2020 pandemic. We were pleased to see all staff & guests wearing masks in the common areas and the Inn was spotless (not that it wasn’t on our previous stay). Likewise, people wore masks in the Lewes shopping area just a few blocks away. We felt very safe. To us, the Savannah Inn is like having a beach house... minus the mortgage and upkeep. We are already thinking about when we can come back.

From my initial call to the inn to our departure every aspect of our stay was excellent. No detail was left unturned. Spacious, immaculate suite and bath, comfortable common areas,, daily happy hour with a nice variety of snacks, sumptuous and filling breakfast. Marion, the innkeeper, is a fabulous and friendly hostess, ambassador for Lewes and a wealth of knowledge about the amenities of the area and nearby communities. Thanks for making our first visit to Lewes so very pleasant.

Everything was wonderful. The room, the food. But best of all was Marie. She did more for me than I could ever have asked for.

My husband and I had a great stay at the Savannah Inn. Beautiful, clean and greeted by Mary, who was much fun. Also, in the morning, our breakfast, made by the owner Marion, was fabulous! Truly! I hope to go back very soon and stay maybe 2 nights. Thanks for such lovely details.

If you have an opportunity to visit Lewes, we highly recommend staying at the Savannah Inn. It was ABSOLUTELY perfect from the moment we walked in to the moment we checked out. All of the rooms are very tastefully decorated and very cheerful, no drab colors here. The daily Happy Hour was wonderful, red and white wine, along with lots of tasty food to munch on - it invites conversation among the guests. And the staff, well, they are ALL top notch. Mary, the inn keeper, cooks amazing breakfasts and if you'd like, she'll share some stories with you. Diane checked us in and made us feel so welcomed - didn't rush while she was giving us the home tour and bits of information. Roe does an outstanding job at keeping this B&B sparkling - it looks like you are walking into a model home. The staff asked if we were celebrating anything - we were celebrating my birthday - and I had a beautiful planter, chocolates and a nice card in our room Very nice touch!! We didn't have an opportunity to meet Marion, the owner; but, we will surely look for her the next time we are there. Yes, of course, there will be a next time!!! Looking forward to it.

This was a great getaway with friends. Rooms were well pointed and very comfortable. Covid cleanliness was forefront and taken very seriously. Marion, the owner and her manager, Mary were very welcoming and excellent breakfast chefs. The food was delicious as well as the wine happy hour spread! And all within walking distance to historic Lewes and many wonderful restaurants!

Fantastic B&B — very clean rooms that feel like home (great towels and sheets) and with awesome food! The location is also great and is walking distance to the Lewes downtown and the beach too. Loved the free bikes available to guests! Had a wonderful stay and will absolutely recommend it to friends/family!

Savannah Inn lives up to its name with outstanding Southern-style hospitality! Mary's "happy hour" spread exceeded all expectations and went on all evening. The wrap around porch and back yard are peaceful spots to read a book, enjoy a glass of wine, or do some yoga! The home is well-appointed and in a lovely setting with beaches, shops, dining, bike paths, parks, fascinating historic sites, and more within easy reach. And if that's not enough, you can always hop down to Rehoboth Beach for more commercial ventures.
