Hyatt Place Dewey Beach

I have stayed here a number of times and Nicole, the front desk manager, ALWAYS welcomes my phone calls and questions and takes WONDERFUL care of me. She genuinely cares about her job and the client. I am thankful to know I can go her during off season an get a quiet clean room and relax and restore. If I have any needs, Nicole and the staff do their best to make me happy. I have NO COMPLAINTS and nothing but high makes and praise for Hyatt Place Dewey Beach.

We spent a weekend here for my nephews Grad school graduation in December. Nicole at the front desk was polite and tremendously accommodating. She put us in a beautiful room, gave us tons of recommendations to local attractions in the area. She also recommended the Hyatt’s on site restaurant the Light House to finish our day on Saturday with a beautiful sunset. Cant say enough about the staff, clean rooms and onsite accommodations. Nicole was there all weekend and treated us like VIP’s the entire stay.
We plan on coming back to stay again.

The hotel is well kept and clean but a little dated. Looks like they are getting ready to do a renovation so it should be even nicer. Great location for a quick getaway during the off season. Would definitely come back.

We booked the wedding of a lifetime on the bay at Dewey Beach, DE with the help of numerous event planners.

The whole organization went above & beyond the call of duty to make sure EVERYTHING was fine tuned. They upgraded us to a condo, comped our patio cocktail hour, handled the special delivery of our wedding cake, comped the Champaign for the bride & groom toast!

They even sent the second shift maintenance supervisor to reignite the romantic flame

My family stayed in June and now it is October and my six-year-old is still talking about it. We stayed for five days over the summer and had an absolute blast. The hotel is located one block from the beach and it’s on the bay waterfront. You get the sunrise and sunset over the water! We loved the horseshoe crabs in the bay, orange, crushes in the lobby, and swimming in both pools. The indoor pool is great for after breakfast, when it is still chilly outside. The outdoor pool is best before dinner and a movie. We will definitely be back!

This was our first time staying her and we loved it.We got the king size room with a sofa Ver roomy,our room overlooked the street ,but was quiet throughout the night .What an amazing view of the bay.They had crushes at the bar in the lobby and they were delicious . Shawn at the front desk was wonderful.We enjoyed the breakfast,like the choices available.Will definitely recommend and will be back!

I enjoyed my stay here quite a lot. The perfect location to get to the beach and to get downtown.

Having the option to park is also nice and their private garage definitely is a huge benefit.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable and the multiple keycard slots throughout the hotel made it feel safe.

The free breakfast was large and had a great amount of different options to choose from. The staff was very friendly and informative and there is always someone cleaning something which is reassuring in a post COVID world.

The pool was nice, accessible even for those who may need accommodations, and it wasn’t too deep for our nephew (a toddler) to enjoy with us.

All in all it was a great family friendly spot and I would encourage anyone to book here given the opportunity.

We had a very nice trip and enjoyed our stay. The walk to the beach was fairly short. The hotel was very dog friendly. The staff was very accommodating.

The room itself was facing the road on the first floor. I was a little apprehensive as it was facing the elevator but we really didn’t notice the traffic. In fact it was extremely convenient. Walk out the door and turn right you are at break fast. Walk straight and you were at the elevator. Make a left we were in the pool or gym. There was also plenty of parking in the garage.

We were very satisfied with our trip.

I had an outstanding experience at this location. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant offered a beautiful ocean view with a cozy fire pit. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay here for a weekend getaway! Firstly, the free garage parking was easy to access. Checking-in/out were easy, the concierge crew was always helpful and knowledgeable. Nicole gave us some great recommendations for food and bar nearby. The room was clean and cozy. The free breakfast was great to kick start the day! Highly recommend 👍

First time room was wonderful will be back before summer. I know these rooms go for 1000 a night or more in the summer.

This place is right on the beach. Doing upgrades and renovations hence has a very good price. Breakfast was very special.

Very clean hotel with extremely friendly and interactive staff (front desk, housekeeping, restaurant). Rooms are clean and easy to access. They are very large and have plenty of storage for our luggage and week-long stay. Breakfast is included and had selections every day. A trolley takes you on many stops along Dewey Beach and up to the Boardwalk (trolley costs $$). Indoor pool was nice (wish it was outdoor pool) and theres a small beach access to the Bay at the back of the hotel. To get to the ocean it's a short walk across the street. Theres 3 restaurants immediately next tonthe hotel. Everything else is in walking or driving distance. Very dog friendly.

When we arrived on Sunday, August 7, check in was very busy but the front desk staff handled it extremely well. Our room overlooked the lobby area where breakfast is served. I was not pleased with this. I was feeling a little claustrophobic not having a window to look out of. Also after driving six hours I wanted an outside view. The next morning I went down to the front desk and asked for a room change. I must say that Jeff and Jacob at the front desk were amazing at finding another room for us, with a water view. Every employee that we encountered were very friendly and helpful but Jeff and Jacob really go above and beyond in their jobs. Hyatt Place Dewey Beach is a great location., less than a block from the beach, Jolly Trolley stops right at the hotel, spent the evenings at the pier watching the sunset, loved having breakfast included. The rooms were very roomy. There were 4 of us in a room and there was plenty of space. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to our friends and family.

Excellent stay!!! Front desk clerks were wonderful. The young man with long brunette hair (I think his name was Josh or Jonah?) was very pleasant and helpful. He was able to accommodate a room change, allow me to check in early and answer other questions about the hotel. Also the hotel itself is very clean and peaceful. I also LOVED their free breakfast in the morning!! Btw there are a lot of good places to eat around there. Highly recommend!!! :) Thank you guys for a wonderful stay.

The hotel was located on the bayside with direct access to the sand and water. There is plenty of outdoor seating on a deck and it appears during season a space for outdoor entertainment (appears to have a stage on the deck). It has a restaurant on the water with other restaurants within walking distance. There is a parking garage under the hotel and direct access from the same hotel elevator.

There is an outdoor pool (not open yet) and heated indoor pool. We went to the indoor pool several times and even with 15 kids and their adults in the water there was still space to move around and play. The pool has a shower and restroom right there and is directly next to the elevator. They also provide towels.

Breakfast is free and is a mix of hot and cold items. While we were there (2nights) we saw muffins, cereal, oatmeal, sausage, eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), pancakes, French toast, variety of breads (including English muffins and bagels), yogurts, fruits, etc. there was also a variety of juices, hot teas and even multiple coffee options.

The hallways are really wide. I mean really wide as you walk through to get to your rooms. Our floor was clean, well lit and we always saw staff on the floor to ask questions, empty or trash (3 kids- with 1 in diapers) or trade out towels.

We had a standard 2 queen room the had a view of the side street. The beds were fine and each bed had three pillow with extras in the large wardrobe. There are dresser drawers and a desk. There was hanging space and an ironing board. We had a pullout sofa that had an end table and coffee table. We could easily get around the room and our three kids could play with no problem. There was a tv that was new enough to chrome cast and had hook ups if you bring a gaming system. The side table between the beds has its own lamps and outlets for charging with extra outlets under the table. The room is well lit. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with towel holder in it and space to hang wet bathing suits. There are multiple hooks for hanging towels and a large sink with extra deep counter space. I was able to wash bottles in the sink and had space for them to dry. The mini fridge is a real fridge, not one of those drink coolers. It weren’t had a built in freezer which was great for keeping ice packs frozen and kids milk cold. There was also enough space that we were able to keep our stroller open the entire time.

Customer service was amazing. We requested a non pet room for allergy reasons and were accommodated. We requested a microwave and it was brought to our room within the hour. We needed milk for our baby and they provided it. They helped with everything we needed.

The on-site laundry was great for keeping bathing suits dry and beach towels clean. It uses an app which makes doing loads easier.

The hotel is under construction/renovation on the main level but at not time did we hear banging. There worked on the eating area after breakfast hours and still had access for people to sit. The changing of wall paper even happened during low traffic times. There was no impact on our access to any amenities or areas we needed.

We will definitely be back. We loved it.

This is a location we have been choosing for 4 years in a row now. Great hotel, friendly staff, great location! Bonfires from memorial day till fall. Right across from the beach! The hotel is also a wonderful spot to get married, we always run into a wedding party!

We have stayed here in on and off season. The rooms are nice and clean. Free parking in the garage for one car. I love the location between the ocean and bay. The included breakfast is very good with a lot of items to choose from. The staff was very nice and helpful.
