We stopped in for an early dinner and to enjoy a few cocktails on the outside deck. The tables are set up nicely so everyone has a view of the canal. Each table has an umbrella so the sun doesn't beat down on you too much. Our server Christine was excellent! She was right on time with our drinks and everything we ordered was exactly how we asked for it. I had the Grilled Grouper Sandwich which was delicious! My husband had the Prime Rib and it was cooked to perfection which was rare without being raw looking in the middle. The Brussels Sprouts were perfectly tender. The Caesar salad I ordered was perfect as well. The ONLY complaint I had about the food was that the cream of crab soup had a bit more nutmeg than I care for, but it still had plenty of chunks of crab meat to enjoy. We will definitely be going back the next time we have an appointment in Lewes. I'd love to go on a weekend and check out what live music they offer. I'm sure it's lovely in the evening.

Casual location with excellent sea food. I had a appetizer grouper nuggets which was more like a full dinner plate with waffle fries and coke slaw. Fish was fresh and nicely seasoned. Great experience for a quick meal before the jazz concert. Also would recomend the fried corn bread

The food was delicious and hot. Definitely recommend the bacon jam burger (gluten free without the bun) and the crab melt.

Excellent experience! Must get " The seafarer " appetizer. It is mussels, clams, shrimp, sausage in some kind of sauce that is perfection!! My son and I loved it so much. He had the smoked salmon blt which he enjoyed and I had delicious seared tuna taco. So yummy!! We sat out by the water and it was a perfect day and our servers were friendly and on point. The one name was Kyle. I forget the girls name he was training but she was so sweet and nice too. Thank you for wonderful time. So good that I bought a gift card for my friend to try out.

Plenty of parking. Food was delicious. Portion size to price was reasonable. We were quick to be seated. Outdoors was the best for today. Server was prompt. Appetizer came rather quick. Crab dip ( could use more chips) timing was great. Our meal was served. No constant interruptions. Overall, I will be back.

On a beautiful spring afternoon in mid-April (before the summer tourist crowds return), we enjoyed a great meal out on the porch, right up against the water. Our server was perfect, the food - varied and interesting, featuring fresh seafood - was excellent, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. We’ll be back!

GREAT place!! Love the atmosphere, including the live music, ample parking and even no wait time, gorgeous views of the docks and canal, food and drinks exceeded any expectations and a HUGE thanks to our server, Natalie M.....she was THE BEST!! ...even saved me (and my shirt) with some club soda from a spot of chocolate!

We go to Wheelhouse anytime we are in Lewes. The food and view are great! Recently, we also used their second floor room for a private party (a casual wedding reception) and it was perfect. Everyone at our party raved about how good the food was. They were very easy to work with, had a ton of menu items for us to choose from, and accommodated dietary restrictions of our guests. Highly recommend!

$$. Recommend for those who like Cajun and spice (though they do have non spicy options) style bar food. Best time to go is mid afternoon. With Zoggs original Cajun flare, a bar style atmosphere and in my opinion one of best views of Lewes you won't be disappointed if you venture into this local establishment. From my previous reviews I have stated I'm a fan of the Zoggs group and the value for your buck here goes a long way. If the prices seem higher the portion size will be bigger. Service is attentive even though they get busy quickly! If you are here during Thanksgiving they do an amazing Cajun fried turkey!

One recommendation I would love to see is more grilled entrees (shrimp and fish) rather than sandwiches.

My family and I came here this weekend for lunch and it was a phenomenal experience! The servers and bartenders were so accommodating to anything we needed. The manager even checked in on how our meal was and we only had great things to say! The crabby melt with waffle fries was phenomenal. We will be back!

First time here and it did not disappoint!! My husband and I had a wonderful date night tonight! Eric was our host, he was extremely friendly and seated us promptly and at a great table with a beautiful view. Courtney was our server and she was great! We didn't wait at all for drinks or food. She was really friendly and professional! I had the Shrimp Tacos and my husband had the Smash Burger. Both dishes were delicious! Overall, we had a great dinner, service and a beautiful view! We will definitely be returning!

Neat place to go to be able to sit on the water watch the boats go by. The food and drinks were pretty good too! I especially loved the smoked fish dip and the Paloma!

First time in the Lewes area and we were trying to find the best food we could. On our last day we decide to try this place and we are seated quickly, the waiter is quick, knowledgeable, and friendly. The menu is surprisingly robust and the food was delivered in exceptional time. Portions are perfect to large (the BBQ jerk chicken skewers could easily be an entree, so definitely meant for sharing). The flavors in some of these dishes were surprisingly complex and enjoyable. This is probably a known restaurant for locals, but for an out of towner like me, this is a diamond in an area with hundreds of good food options. Would have eaten here daily if I had known better during my stay.

Loved Vegas Night with Bryan Clark last night. Drummer was a nice addition to his performance. Staff and food excellent. Cody, Holly, and Clint were very attentive and made the night extra special! We raved about the lamb chops as a special entree and were able to meet Matt who put the dinner together for us!! Keep up the good work Wheel House we will be back soon.

At first look, I felt they had a very limited menu...but the food was amazing. The shrimp burrito was the best I ever had. We also enjoyed the crab bisque and a Caribbean chicken salad. I would rather see a smaller menu and amazing food than amazing menu and so so food. And Abagail was excellent server. Thank you

Food is great every time, and came out so fast. Staff is great. Decor is nice and the bay is beautiful. We come here every time we visit Lewes.

Everything was delicious, ambiance was spectacular. Great service. I believe this restaurant should average in the 4.3-4.5 star range, therefore I’m rating 5 stars to bring it up. Will definitely come back.

Dinner at The Wheelhouse is always a must when we visit historic Lewes, Delaware. A cozy table overlooking the canal is the perfect setting for a view of the sunset while sipping cocktails. The food and service are always amazing. I recommend the Coconut shrimp appetizer with spicy coleslaw to start. The fresh Ahi tuna and decadent Lobster and Gouda Mac and cheese never disappoint. Enjoy dinner while watching the fishing boats arrive with their catches. Live music enhances the meal. You won’t want to leave.

We wanted a fancy restaurant by the water to celebrate our friend on our bachelorette trip this weekend. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait, which isn’t bad for a Saturday night. Half an hour later we were notified that our table was ready and we were quickly seated. Our waitress was Abby and she did a fantastic job serving us and making sure we were comfortable our entire time there! I ordered the shrimp tacos and side of fries and both were extremely delicious! The waffles fries weren’t dry and had the perfect amount of seasoning. When Abby found out that we were on a bachelorette trip she brought out a brownie for all of us to share and said that it was on her! We were so surprised and felt so special that would do that for us! It definitely heightened our celebration! After we paid we asked Abby to take a picture of our group, and she went the extra mile and asked if we wanted to go outside to take a picture with the water. Best food! Best customer service!
