Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Pet friendly. Our room has a nice view of the bay and hotel has small beach front in the courtyard area, which our pup enjoyed. Room was generally unremarkable but had a small kitchenette and was clean and adequate size. Price was fair as well. Will stay again.

Without a doubt, the finest Dewey Beach has to offer. Book a bay view room for the most amazing views 24/7. Close to all the Dewey Beach shops , restaurants and bars. Super comfortable rooms with all the amenities including a nice size kitchen. Beautifully landscaped property following the bay. The best staff with the finest general mgr making sure ur vacay is a memorable one. Pet friendly, very affordable and highly recommended 🐾🦴☠⚓🪝🛟✌🐟😎🐡🦀⛱

The Bay Resort is amazing! It's pet-friendly (we had our dog with us), it's super close to the boardwalk, and you can rent kayaks/paddleboards to take out onto the bay right at the hotel. The staff was SO accommodating and reached out to the kayak rental people (Delmarva Board Sports) for us on super short notice even though the season hadn't really started yet. I thank them for being so patient and kind with my lack of planning, lol. If you want to take advantage of the convenient kayak/paddleboard rental, just look up Delmarva Board Sports to arrange it as they are a separate business from the hotel. :] This is my second year doing the Coastal Delaware Running Festival, and we definitely plan on staying at the Bay Resort again for it next year! P.S. I got a good deal with their advanced booking option!

Our family of 5 just got home from our first family vacation together. It was full of tears, panic attacks, and minor injuries, but you know what made it all better??

Staying at this amazing hotel.

From the first step into the reception area where we were greeted by the ever so kind Bailey (who supplied our kids with about 50 band aids and lollipops), to the amazing hotel staff and the guests...yes, the guests. It was like staying at a huge house with a bunch of friends because everyone there is so friendly and kind.

Our kids went out to the pier everyday to catch minnows and crab watch. They made friends with the other kids staying there. The pool is the perfect size and was supplied with pool noodles and towels. There was fresh popcorn in the lobby along with a coffee machine (yes, the good creamer, too).

Our room faced the bay so we got to see the stunning sunset every night and we're greeted with the seagulls in the morning. The room was also freezing cold, which I LOVED. There is a paddle board rental steps away from the back and chairs and loungers to watch the water. I can't say enough about how beautiful the view was. We were about 2 blocks from the beach and right next to a convenience store and great restaurants.

I can't wait to come back here next year with our family and make this place a tradition that they will remember for years to come!

My wife and I totally enjoyed our stay here. We went in mid August for a vacation and to celebrate our anniversary ( we even received an anniversary card from the staff). The room was very clean and cozy but not cramped and the private patio was very nice too. All of the staff were absolutely pleasant and helpful (including Jack who could easily be a tour guide for what to do and where to go in the region). Next time we go to Dewey we will definitely return to the Bay Resort.

We've been coming to this hotel for 3 years now and sitting in a Bay view room watching the water and the sunset every day is my favorite thing. I cannot imagine us trying to stay at a different hotel for any future vacation in the area. I really love the pool and the rooms. The beds are nice and the couch is surprisingly nice to accidentally nap on. Love this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay with my two friends and I. The front desk was always so kind and helpful and the rooms were clean. For the price the rooms are a bit aged and have a slight smell but that’s to be expected from a beach/bay resort.

This is a gorgeous hotel with gorgeous workers. Spencer and Sharicka checked us in, they where extremely welcoming and nice. I highly recommend this hotel for anybody that wants to visit Dewey or rehoboth beach. It has clean rooms and a wonderful back yard by the bay where you can sit out and soak in the sun on lawn chairs or rent kayaks and paddle boards also a cute cabana thingy with porch swings and you can watch horseshoe crabs swim around the bay at night. Also it is in a very nice part of town close to all the restaurants and shops. And I am having a very fun stay!

Staff is absolutely amazing, all super friendly and helpful! Rooms are a bit plain but with the view and pool and staff it doesn't even matter. My only complaint would be the parking situation, but with the area it's in I think the crowding is unavoidable. Would absolutely recommend a stay here and can't wait to go back!

My family and I just stayed here for 3 nights. 2 adults, 2 kids- 2 and 3 years old. We really enjoyed ourselves. Every staff member we came in to contact with was friendly. View is pretty! We had a balcony room on the bay side. The kids loved playing in the sand out back. Close to a lot in Dewey however we drove to Rehoboth almost every day which is a few minute drive away. Complimentary coffee at the front desk every morning was great. Only downside was there was no housekeeping service the 3 nights we were there. Being at the beach it would have been nice to have the room cleaned up with all the sand. We did ask for an extra sheet for the pull out couch and some towels.. overall we had a good stay and would come back!!

Front desk receptionist, Kalesha made my stay the best; she is friendly and makes you feel happy about your stay at the resort. She greets you with a warming smile and offers the best accommodations. The complimentary coffee was the best coffee I’ve ever had and the room is very clean. The other staff are amazing as well! Everyone makes you feel at home and the resort offers the best views of the bay or the pool. I highly recommend the bay room with a balcony overlooking the view! If you’re looking to catch the best sunsets, this is the place for you. The resort is also within range of many services and shops in town, including the beach just down the road! One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Would definitely come back this summer 10/10!!! :)))

Room was clean had to defrost the freezer to get the refrigerator to work. Needs to be done often in all rooms. Very nice hotel. Got to see two foxes running around around 3:30 in the morning. They live towards the end of the hotel in the weeds past the fence. Rooms are big and yes the cook tops are old. But it works. We brought our own pans and silverware and dishes. Ocean is 2 blocks away and can't swim in the bay but you can use the white raft for relaxing. No decent gift shops in that area but we didn't care. Only ate out at the 19th country club. Would recommend that. Hotel is a nice place to relax and enjoy the pool.

This is a GEM. We were passing through decided to stick around for the night after coming through the town and feeling the vibe!
Very accommodating, clean well priced rooms.
Coffee in office all day/night. Updated rooms are spacious with a little kitchenette, table and chairs, balcony, and great toiletries...clean modernized bathrooms...and THE BAY VIEWS!!!
Perfect location....bay outback, ocean a block across street...great local favorite restaurants within a 2 block walk....we will definitely stay here again.
Pool and free ample parking!

We stayed Monday through Thursday in mid-June and can't wait to come back and maybe even bring some friends. The Bay Resort was our home away from home as we explored Dewey Beach.

While the resort was full of people, it didn't feel that way. Everyone seemed to be out and about in their own way, using the resort as a home base for all of the fun activities around town. We loved the laid back feeling and friendly staff. The views are honestly breathtaking, especialy from the bay side.

Housekeeping was only if you requested it, so our stay was relatively private and we loved that aspect of it. That being said, we did enjoy mingling with some of the other guests in the pool and back bay area.

Nothing about the rooms really stood out other than the balconies and the nice little kitchen that came in handy (especially the fridge for leftovers!).

As long as you understand this isn't the type of place where the staff is going to cater to your each and every whim, and understand that it's very much a beach resort that allows you to experience the area as you want, you're in for a treat.

Can't wait to come back!

Property was well maintained and clean. The pool was very inviting and the bay view room had absolutely the best sunset. Due to COVID we did not have our room cleaned everyday but that is not a ding against the hotel. We requested fresh towels, and they provided as asked so it was ok. Lobby provided free water and coffee and each room had a small kitchenette. Recommend getting a room with a bay view on the 2nd/3rd floor. Worth the investment. Short trip to the beach.

Stayed 2 nights for a last-minute weekend getaway. Overall it was a great experience - two block walk to the beach, beautiful views of the bay, and relatively quiet area. Check in process was fast and easy, and they are taking good precautions for COVID. The pool area was loud at times so if you want a quieter room, get one that faces the bay. Got takeout both evenings to avoid the crowds, but the room's kitchenette has a surprisingly large refrigerator that easily held breakfast and lunch supplies. Kitchenettes also had toasters, a small oven, microwave, coffee maker, and basic cooking equipment. Definitely bring any other supplies you need for cooking.

Great things: location, large rooms/bathrooms, friendly staff, clean, first floor bay view rooms have a lovely little private patio that is perfect for relaxing.
Cons: Pool area guests not really following social distancing, air conditioner in the room was very loud (but worked well to keep us comfortable).

Bottom line: would definitely stay here again!

I give it a 5 star for the location, value and cleanliness. Friendly staff is always a plus. The place is bit dated but we were looking for a place to sleep and be close to the beach and restaurants. Parking is included and internet access is better than many other places I've been to. We had a bay view from our balcony. We were on the third floor so sunsets were amazing. Nice little pool, outdoor shower, plenty of outdoor space and seating to enjoy the beautiful views. Walking distance to everything so we never used our car during our stay. The AC unit was really good we never felt 90 + degree outside. If you are looking to stay in the room and have a huge TV, couch , kitchen this may not be place for you. If you are like us, this will be perfect. The only thing we did not think trough was the room had two double beds and there were there of us. I prefer more room when sleeping but worked out okay. The beds are super comfy though. You won't be disappointed if you decide to stay here. I should also mention there are no elevators in case you have mobility problems. There are only three floors so it was no trouble for us at all.
