I really enjoy the studio, the classes, and the instructors. I have no prior experience with pilates reformers, but I think they are magic.
The staff is very mindful of injuries or limitations, and management was extremely helpful when I needed to take a pause to recover from an injury.
It is a bit more expensive than I would normally want to pay for exercise, but it is so much more in line with my body goals and really helps build mind body connection.
I look forward to more classes becoming available.

I love this studio! I had come last year and it was always very clean, everything was sanitized between classes and the instructors were GREAT! My posture improved, my back pain decreased, and I felt stronger, leaner, and definitely noticed an increase in my flexibility. I am so happy to be back at the Tenleytown studio!

I'm so glad I found Club Pilates during the pandemic! They are clean, respectful of social-distancing requirements and very professional. I enjoy the Reformer "Flow" workouts, but I love that every session is different, so it's never boring. They do a great job of incorporating other tools into the workout, such as box, chair, ball, Bosu, TRX, etc. I also appreciate that they tell you how you can modify exercises if you have an injury or you're just not up to it that day OR if you want a bit more of a challenge.

I've never been much of a joiner, but I'm glad I've joined this Club. I've lost weight, feel better and actually enjoy working out. I never thought I would say that!

I love being a part of the community at Club Pilates in Tenely!! The instructors are so kind and love what they do. The staff is friendly. Best of all, I always leave the studio better than I was when I walked in. It's the best!

Small semi-private group exercise at a reasonable price. Great for improving back pain and regaining functionality and flexibility in my hip.

I have only been a member for a few weeks. I was really happy so far until this week. The management has cancelled two of the classes due to instructor shortages. There are no other classes at my level that I can take at Tenleytown. I asked them if I could take one in Bethesda, just for this week, and they refused. Not good. I am not impressed with the lack of flexibility considering that they are the ones cancelling classes.

I was going consistently and it was okay - not enough classes, scheduled times didnt line up with my 8-6 work schedule. And then I put my account on hold and the folks I talked to about it were really understanding about covid. However, yesterday I was charged over $200 without warning and when I called the store to ask about it and the person on the phone was the opposite of understanding. I have someone in my household who is high risk and not yet vaccinated and he asked me several times when that person would be vaccinated - which we all know none of us have control over. My experience with Club Pilates has been mediocre to bad and this made me quit -- but only after he got his $200.

Not enough classes and horrible experience with membership cancelation.

I was super excited to join the intro class with my friends today with hopes to purchase memberships for the 3 of us but unfortunately this place has absolutely no grace period. We were literally 3mins “late” and wasn’t allowed in the class with no prior knowledge of this (no grace period) policy. Had it been communicated to us we could’ve rescheduled instead of wasting gas traveling. I’m still interested in starting Pilates but I will not be returning here , simply because I don’t like the way we were treated.

I enjoyed classes, but their membership policy is terrible. I was charged despite specific instructions-- approved by the manager-- not to auto renew. When I complained, they refused to reverse charges because I had not completed cancellation paperwork that they did not provide to me when I informed them I didn't want to be on auto-pay. They've lost my business and with business practices like these, watch out! Too bad because the classes and equipment were good.

One star is being kind. The studio itself is dirty. The filtered water machine has dirt and gunk at the base. The bathrooms aren't clean and mold in the toilets. Coming from a very busy studio in another state which is always clean, I found this completely unacceptable. These are lazy franchise owners and terrible instructors and Claudia in particular comes across as lazy in her manner of teaching. In fact, the instructors at this location are not all fully trained. They are subs and apprentices. The classes are rarely full which might also say something. Maybe they can't add more advanced classes because their level 1 and 1.5 are pathetic. One instructor brought her dog to class which whined which distracted the instructor from the class. I experienced incorrect direction regarding how to do certain moves, inability to timely que so you can transition between moves without spending lot of time getting into position among other problematic issues that are inconsistent with the foundations of pilates. There was essentially no stretching at the end of class and limited footwork to warm you up...although the classes themselves are so weak, what's the point. I have passport and have taken classes with very experienced pilates instructors and won't go back to this location or Bethesda. Maybe club pilates shouldn't just hand out franchises and should be more worried about their brand and give franchises to instructors who are fully qualified and take their business and the practice serious.....and maybe clean you place of business.

Members and interested parties BEWARE! This is an unethical, toxic and predatory business. Avoid this studio and it’s arrogant general Manager Manager at all costs.

After following the complicated process and cancelling my membership, the GM manually auto renewed my membership with my bank account on file without my permission, over-drafting my account. All emails, calls and visits to reverse the charge were ignored. Like predatory insurance companies, this studio banks on the hope that you’ll give up, get busy or simply fatigue from fighting them. It’s abhorrent, privileged behaviour.

Save yourself the headaches and find Pilates classes elsewhere.

Be careful. They charge you without your consent. What a terrible experience. When I paid the first time they said that I was going to be charged monthly the first 2 months and then If I decided to continue I will pay to pay monthly. After 4 Months without being charged they suddenly started to charge me again and I’m not planing to go there at all. When I reached them the response was that I was going to be charged for another 3 months. I’m so mad 😡 this is unbelievable.

Do not go to this studio. The receptionist is BEYOND rude, lacks customer service skills and competency. There are plenty of wonderful Pilates instructors and studios across DC, don’t waste your time here.
