Miner Elementary School

My baby doing so well, I believe I have Faith in DCPS again!! The teacher's here cares , I feel like I'm dropping him off to a intelligent Aunt!! He feels the love getting the tools to grow and we loves it!!

A Great Elementary Learning experience that all young minds should love as well as Parents today !

They used to have an excellent summer camp.

Miner has some good teachers the early childhood programe is their best attribute, but just like everyother dcps in low income areas they are preparing for what the neighborhood is going to look like when all the Black Washatoinans leave. My child has been jumped, called out his name by a teacher. my child did not receive a proper education I was told by the art teacher that my childs class never came and the science teacher was let go last year and never replaced so science was left up to the math teacher. The administration of miner is poor for what ever reason maybe they dont like their job or they're lazy I don't know. Administration never seem to know whats going on in the school and the lack of communication I never know when theirs a assembly until a drop my child of or I get a news letter a week later. The PTO cares more bout feeding the teachers steak and brisket then puting money in the school to better the children. The PTO and teachers was asked to help raise money for five deserving students so they can get refurbished computers only one teacher donated and when ever we have PTO meeting all thats ever talked about is the early childhood programe and the class that the PTO parents kids are in. Another thing I didnt like about The PTO is when I told them about my Ideas instead of acknowledged me for my ideas they stole them and said they were thiers like bingo night.
