Hop On Hop Off DC Tours by Old Town Trolley

We took a day tour and a night tour.

Night tour with the driver called Hollywood was amazing, amazing, amazing! He was fun, super super knowledgeable, loves what he does and then just the whole night vibe made it an awesome experience!

I’d recommend the tour before you plan your other activities because we learned a ton that would have changed some of what did and would have done.

Eagle and the whole staff was friendly and wonderful! All tour guides were amazing and engaging. It was a great value for our money. I didn’t think we would be able to see everything there is so much to do at every stop! Everything was well coordinated and planned. It went smoothly with the trolleys easily identifiable.

Meg was our tour guide, and you'd think she'd been doing this for years, she told us she'd only been doing this for about 4 months. She was amazing, funny, & kind.

Did the night tour and had a great experience! The driver was informative, helpful and friendly, and the views were spectacular. We were given allocated times which we could go off the bus and explore the area if we wished, but we were given lots of time, so it didn’t feel too rushed. The tour explored places such as Arlington cemetery and the Lincoln memorial, and watching the sunset from the bus was so beautiful. I definitely recommend going on this tour!

This was an amazing way to spend our first full day in D.C. The convenience of the hop-on, hoo-off is exactly as advertised. We would time our visits to certain memorials to get a quick ride and they always ran on time. Also, great views from the top deck…and natural air conditioning! All 3 photos I posted were taken from the top deck of the bus.

Miss Rae was engaging and informative. Overall I would recommend the tour. On another note, shame on the Smithsonian for still having the Arthur Sackler name on several galleries. Their board should know better.

We booked the city tour today. What use finds great is that the ticket can be valid for up to several days. The information was very well prepared and the 1.5h was around very quickly. Even if we didn't get off because we wanted to have an overview first, the stops are very well chosen. What else I would have liked to have driven closer to the White House

Batman was full of interesting tips and took time to greet everyone. This tour has just enough time at stops and for beautiful evening photos. Easy to get on at the Hyatt Regency!

Very very very COOL!! We did the night tour and our guide/driver was kind, sweet, and funny! We even ran into Gov Newsom while seeing the Lincoln Memorial. Do the night tour, it's awesome!

I wrote this bus twice to get a view of the city and information on which museums to go to the next day! The driver was very nice and we got a lot of good photos. Only problem was they didn't drive by the White House which should definitely be a stop on the tour.

If you have never been to DC or other major city with lots of landmarks, Dublin, London, etc..., the first thing you should do is get on a hop on hop off tour. I lived in Dublin for four years, did the tour bus 5 times throughout my stay when family came to visit. You'll learn more in the first day you're there than 90% of the locals. We did the DC loop 2 times in the day and once at night. Each driver was informative, but Just Joe really was great.

Thoroughly enjoyed our tours of Arlington National Cemetery and Washington DC! We did these tours on different days which I would recommend! The drivers were great and provided so much information and trivia too! There’s no way we could have visited as many sites on foot. Definitely recommend!

We did the Monuments at Night. Such a beautiful perspective of our Nation’s Capital. JR gave great information with some humor.

We had an amazing tour in Washington DC, thanks to the Hop On Hop Off DC Tours by Old Town Trolley! Since it was our first time to visit DC, we had plenty of questions to ask and the staff was very helpful. He was also a cheerful person and we had a lively conversation with him. It's unfortunate that we did not get his name.

The tour guides were delightfully knowledgeable in sharing interesting tidbits about the different sights. Timing was great and the buses were clean. We wished we had more time since there were a "million and one" things to see and to visit. We will visit again - and we'll definitely book this Hop On Hop Off Tours the next time around.

We booked the monuments by Moonlight tour. Hollywood was our guide and he did an excellent job. We learned so much! The downside was the windows of the trolley were plastic. You had to roll them open to see clearly. Which in February meant the trolley was VERY cold. If you book in the winter months, pack a blanket, wear gloves and bring something warm to drink. It was well worth the cost and the cold! Very fun and kind of romantic strolling around the monuments at night with just the light from the monuments around. See done of the tour in my YouTube video. Embarking on the DC trolley evening tour guided by Drew was a delightful journey through history and landmarks. Drew's expertise and engaging narration brought each site to life, making the tour both informative and entertaining!

Great covered tours with stops to high-interest points of DC. Your tour ticket even gets you on the Arlington National Cemetery tour. Interesting narrations by the guides. Didn't mind the price since most of the places it stops are free admission.

Our bus driver/tour guide, Mr. Kelly was very kind, and respectful .He’s very informative about our history. He entertained us with his jokes and riddles.

What a great tour guide! There’s a lot of walking in DC and if you want to visit everything I would highly suggest doing it this way! Do the 2 day tour one day is definitely not enough time! They let you off at each stop, always doing rounds to jump back on and head back to base or to the next stop you want to go to. We lost our ticket and they made sure they got us another one at one of their base places. We told them what happened and everyone was super nice and made sure we got new ticket. Great drivers (mostly). Make sure you know the time they do last pickup and stops!

We did the moon light tour and MJ was our guide. MJ was amazing, very friendly and is so knowledgeable. We had an amazing tour, learned and laughed. Thank you MJ
