My friends and i had heard good things about Saffron. We went there for dinner and were greeted cordially. The menu is very limited. I whispered to my friend, "Let's order the whole menu.
We still ended up ordering 75 % of the menu.
The appetizers, entrees, and Flatbread were delicious. They were very tasty. But one thing, the portions are very very small. My friends and I love to share, but it was very difficult. I was thinking I might have to see what's open after dinner where I can get more food.

One of my favorite dinner spots in walla walla, definitely make a stop if visiting. Lots of options to tempt you and friendly service. While decor is fun, inside can be a bit loud when full and hard to hear table conversation. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Stopped in for dinner, had an amazing time. Food was on point. Quail was delicious, the lamb was great as well. Their fingerling potatoes are delicious too.

Reservations recommended. Wife & I prefer early dining. Nice atmosphere with inside & outside dining, as well as a bar area viewing the cooking area. We shared grilled Pita bread, and a quail appetizer. Main entrée's Wife had the Agnolotti House made pasta (braized pork shoulder. ricotta, mushrooms, Parmigiano-Reggiono) in a ravioli. She wasn't impressed with it.. I ordered the wood grilled hanger steak medium rare (Adobe marinated., fire roasted potatoes, almond & caperberry salsa). Steak fixed perfect, potatoes very good, salsa interesting (Briny flavor) but did compliment the meal. We each had a glass of wine. We ended our sharing a Basque Style Cheesecake (Peach smash. black tea syrup. & basil). Nice balance, lighter than a normal cheesecake.
NOTE: photo of the quail is only half, I forgot to take the picture when it was served. Also there is a piece missing off the Pita Bread.

A spectacular little restaurant! The dishes are creative and prepared with expertise. I'd like to see more NW wines on the menu. The staff are professional, witty and engaging. Definitely planning a return visit!

My wife and I have eaten at so many great restaurants over the years in many different cities. This one by far is in the tops 5. As for the food, it was the best steak I've ever ordered in a restaurant. That is just fact and not a statement. The service was perfect. They helped us threw out the meal from checking on us for drinks to explaining to us what all the sides for the dishs were. The atmosphere was amazing. If you come here, do have a reservation. If not, you probably won't be seated. Don't be a pretentious person to assume that just because you have some money that you will get a table. You won't. Great experience.

Fantastic Mediterranean restaurant! Their calamari and Quail appetizers were cooked beautifully. We also ate the rustic Ragu with handmade pasta and also the lamb (great squash on the side!)

Their tasting menu for Restaurant month had a nice variety of choices and price was very reasonable ($42 pp) with 3 courses. We did not pick it and paid $180, so as you can see the set menu is a great value for anyone who wants to see the difference between a restaurant vs a chain!

This place is phenomenal. They wait staff, the food, and the atmosphere. Have been here at least 4 times now. It’s more on the expensive side but it’s worth it.

The food was inspired! I had never had hummus made with brown butter before, but it was a different look, and a different taste on what would otherwise be an ordinary food. Everyone at the table had something different, and each of us were excited by each dish. The staff was excellent, we were seated quickly and comfortably, and the lighting and mood were just right for an evening out.

I will be honest, I was a little hesitant going here due to a lot of the current reviews saying how tasteless the food is or bad their experience was. But my eyes, heart and tastebuds were blown away by the food, presentation and friendliness of the staff we encountered. These flavors I will whole heartedly remember. My husband and I had the Woodfire Grilled Octopus, Woodfired pita bread, Leg of Lamb, Cresto de Gallo and chocolate olive oil cake as well as their housemade strawberry sumac ice cream. All of it was absolutely amazing and would recommend it 100%. If you are questioning going here...don't! You will not be disappointed.

Entering the hostess recognized my friend from 1 yr ago. N the waiter as well.the waiter was so knowledgeable about every thing on the menu. I had the lemon speghitti. N wild mushroom Flatbread. So good.. my friend gad the black Cid n my grandson had the lamb. So good. I would recommend this place to anyone. It does produce a little bit of noise, and nothing a few barriers couldn't fix.

Magical cuisine, blending flavors from across the Mediterranean. Everything we had to eat was amazing, especially the lamb vermicelli and ribeye. Thanks for making our birthday celebration special!

Reservations required.
We made a reservation for our group of 8. There was a bit of paperwork involved in doing it that our whole group thought was ridiculous. However, when we arrived 5 min early, we found our table set and ready for us to be seated. Our server was fantastic. She was super knowledgeable of the menu and had a good knowledge of the wine list.
The food was great. Our group of 8 talked of this meal for the rest of our trip. We quickly forgot about the paperwork we had to fill out.
PS - Something we noticed in Walla Walla is that the pace of dinner is almost European. The meals are generally slower and take about 30 min more than most places in the US. This was not a fault of our server, she was awesome.

Saffron is one of the best restaurants on the eastern side of Washington. I always have a great experience when I come here to eat and have a nice cocktail. I always recommend the lamb and beef kibbeh, although I'll say the version of this I enjoyed the most was with the house made labneh. The seafood is top notch. Tonight we split the wood fire roasted octopus, and my main entree was porchetta and oregon albacore tuna. Very tasty indeed. I'll be coming back again and again.

One of my favorite places to eat! I don't live in Walla Walla but any time I am going through or visiting we have to stop at Saffron! The first time I went here my wife and I went for our anniversary dinner and we each got our own entrees. When we thought about dessert we debated getting something but then saw another pasta dish that looked amazing so we ended up getting a 3rd entrée for dessert. I have never had anything bad here, cannot recommend it enough!

Reservations are needed, so plan ahead.

Just went again and had an amazing meal. Remembered to take photos this time. Had a squash and sausage appetizer, carrot salad, free form lasagna, clam pasta, banana flat bread dessert, and budino, highly recommend all of it.

This restaurant is phenomenal! My family and I had the pleasure of eating here on our trip to Walla Walla while visiting from Montana. The cocktails and food are awesome and the service was wonderful (shout out to Bryant!)! Wine-ing and dining at nice restaurants is our favorite pastime and this place tops the list of all the places we ate at in Walla Walla! Can’t wait to go back on our next trip!!

We had a great experience. The food and service both are exceptional! The menu is online and social distancing is well practiced. We got the Lahmacun, Beef cheek, Wood grilled octopus and Portuguese chocolate mousse. Would recommend everything we got, a must try in walla walla:)

I can’t say enough good things about Saffron! The ambiance was simple and relaxing, our waiter was super fun, the cocktails were unusual and yummy and last, but certainly not least, the food was amazing!!! If I lived in Walla Walla it would I would be a regular and look forward to going back on our next visit. We will ask to sit in Bryant’s section again for sure - Cheers!
