Gary Dawson Designs

Gary Dawson is the real deal. I came to him out of the blue with a drawing and a couple pictures of what I wanted the ring to look like to see if it was something he thought he could do with not a lot of time before my engagement date. He was confident he could make it happen and was more than happy to work with me on the ring. He worked with me on the design until it was perfect and within my budget. Then he sent me digital 3-D model images to make sure everything looked perfect before casting the ring.
I was gone fighting wildfires so my emails weren't always timely and at one point I had to ask Gary to work with my sister on the final touches because I was out of the state, but Gary was patient and more than happy to do whatever needed to happen to get me that ring on time for my engagement date. High stakes, but Gary got it done and when I got home from the fires just days before my engagement I felt no stress because I already knew what the ring would look like and I had full trust in Gary's craft. When I picked up the ring it was absolutely perfect, even the little details I had asked Gary to add in after our initial meeting. And the craziest thing was when he charged me less than what was originally quoted because it required less material cost than what was originally expected. That is some honest good business and I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a quality person who does quality work. My fiancee and I cannot wait to work on our wedding bands with him soon!

Working with Gary was an absolute delight. We met and talked about what I wanted the ring to look like and he helped guid me through the design process. The inlay is a special rock that I brought in which he managed to work with and the results are amazing. If you are thinking of having rings (or really any jewelry) custom designed, I highly recommend working with Gary. He makes it really simple and fun and I never felt overwhelmed by the process. He is a highly skilled individual and it shows in his work. I'd give him 10 stars if I could.

I came to Gary with what I thought was a pretty ambitious proposal for an engagement ring, and he blew me away! He is very kind and creative, with a humble attitude that doesn’t immediately let on that he’s an expert in his craft. He created 3D models as a seamless part of the design process, which helped me figure out what I wanted. After a little back and forth, he completed the ring with plenty of time to spare!

I’m no expert in the market, but it seems like the price that I paid was incredibly reasonable for such thorough and masterful work. If I have another project, Gary will be the first one I call!

Gary designed custom rings for my fiance and me, and just exceeded our expectations at every step. We did this entirely remotely (out of state, even), and were able to get rings that we both love. Gary took so much time and care talking us through each step from picking materials and a gemstone, to design pros and cons. I felt like I ended up learning more about jewelry, even, and it helped us make informed choices. Gary designed and created an engagement ring as well as two wedding bands for us. He helped us through the design process, and was a fountain of knowledge about materials and designs that would accomplish what we were looking for. He is a creative, timely, and high quality artist. Gary created a beautiful ham radio call sign pin for his subtly display on hat or lapel. Was a pleasure working with Gary and very much impressed with his superb workmanship and presentation in packaging the gift made it even more special and memorable. I started working with Gary to get a quote on a engagement ring, as well as many others around town through email. Rite away he was very attentive and started working with me on details before I even herd back from many of the others. We decided on an a design and he started on it, and had it done before I had hoped for. The right turned out great and could not be happier with it. I will be using him for all my future needs.

Gary was an absolute gem to work with! He was able to turn a basic flower pattern and some of our old family jewels into stunning, intricate and unique wedding rings. Exceeded our expectations while staying on budget.
