The hotel was great. Its really close to Union Station and Trader Joe's. The room has a coffee machine and apple TV. Also, there is enough kitchen utensils for making your own food. They always keep the room clean which is also good.

Great experience. I felt like I was living in DC, in a beautiful apartment building. Very convenient to shopping at Trader Joe’s. The room was bright and nicely decorated. Very clean. The app they provided was convenient for unlocking the room door, getting onto the elevator and entering the building. I’ll definitely be back.

I really like staying here. The hotel is three floors of a very nice, new, apartment building. The room was a one bedroom apartment, which felt so much nicer than staying in a tiny room with just a TV. The room also had a washer/dryer in-unit, which I found to be the best perk of all. They even provide you with enough laundry pods and dryer sheets for two loads which was exactly what I needed.

I can see how, if you're easily frustrated by tech, the app you have to use could be frustrating. I would suggest checking in with the team that's on-site 24/7 when you arrive so they can give you a quick in person tutorial. Once everything was explained, it seemed super obvious and I realized how intuitive it actually is.

The team was the nicest! Everyone there was so helpful. I'm sure they have to explain the app a million times a day, but they still explained everything like it was the first time and had so much patience.

Genuinely amazing experience. The staff was kind, courteous, and personable (Natia helped check my partner and I in). The room was gorgeous, clean, spacious, and far exceeded any expectations, especially at the steal of a price it was at! There were so many amenities available to us: a washer and dryer, a high-end fridge with ice and water dispensers, a dishwasher, a walk-in closet, a massive flat screen with Apple TV, an exercise room; it would be easier to name what they didn’t have! I bought the Junior room with a queen bed for $157 a night (pre-tax) and have to say that it was worth every cent!

My partner is very picky about, well, everything. I was deadly afraid of messing up her birthday trip with a sub-par room, luckily I didn’t have to worry at all. WhyHotel provided us with a room that she deemed the nicest room she’s stayed in, ever.

Their check-in and check-out policy is quick, easy, and —frankly— next gen with its electronic lock system and digital services. If I ever needed assistance, I could text the help line and get a response almost immediately!

The location was in a fantastic area, as well. The view was incredible and the options for shopping and eating were limitless.

From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank WhyHotel for making my partner’s birthday the best to date. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in area.

This very modern Apartmenthouse is for me the right place.
You have a complete apartment with everything you need for a short or even long stay.
The whole place works fully digital.
Once you have installed the App and activated your stay, you are ready to enter everything you need.
The doors will unlock automatically once you are close, the same goes for the elevator or the parking garage.
The equipment in the room is top notch.
As fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer, even an extra dressing room, what else can you ask for?
Oh yes, of course what about a balcony? But this is also there.
Pricing is excellent compared with hotels in that area, only 15 minutes from the Capitol.

I had an amazing experience at the Union Station WhyHotel by Placemakr. The location is unbeatable. It’s in walking distance to the Metro and there’s loads of shopping and dining amenities even closer. Excellent service from Kineshia (so helpful) and the check in and check out process was a dream. My apartment was a truly 5 Star worthy.

Incredibly clean, comfortable, and quiet apartment. Directions seemed intimidating but I had zero problems after reviewing them. There's a food hall a short walk away as well as the metro. I would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend staying here for any trip. It is the perfect mix between an airbnb with hotel amenities. Easy check-in/check-out. The room was very clean and staff was super helpful. We did experience trouble with access to our room via the app, but it was resolved by staff quickly. 10/10 experience.

Enjoyed the stay here. Very close to Union Market and the H street corridor. Everything’s is set up so there is contactless check in. The hotel is located within an apartment building and everything requires access with a Kastle app. Very efficient and smooth process. The you ladies tin the main office are very helpful. The rooms were very spacious and the views are good. The one complaint I have is the bed. Its just too soft and The beds caves in the middle. I didn’t sleep well but other family members were ok with it.

We could stay here as our home :) It was very convenient for our family. Especially, neat room condition, spacious parking area, eco-friendly washing machine and drier. Its location is also perfect to go to Noma station(new york ave) and trader joe’s. Quick response from your manager was the best.

We absolutely loved this hotel it is like no other hotel experience because You're staying in a beautiful apartment. We like the fact that we could go shopping for shopping for food and makes most of our meals at the apartment. Trader Joe's is right across the street and it is walking distance from Union station about 35 minutes. The metro station is right around the corner and it's a straight shot to U street where there's plenty of dining and night life.

Rebecca and Christine were amazing and a great help. I had booked for the wrong date and arrived a day before my booked night. They happily made a plan and were able to organize a room for us, on the day. Great service!!

This location is very convenient and clean with lots of amenities. The rooms are nicely decorated and the on-site staff/office is a huge bonus. I plan to return again in April.

The location was PERFECT! The "apartment" feeling was perfect for us to feel comfortable and same time it gave us the taste what it is like to live in big city! :) We'll definitely stay here again anytime we visit DC in the future.

THE BEST EXPERIENCE HERE. Have already recommended to several friends + will absolutely be back. I went for three nights and loved the location + the space itself. It really felt like a home! Service was great too. Can't wait for WhyHotel to expand to even more cities!

Great concept, everything appeared brand new. Very nice to have all the amenities and Trader Joe's right across the street. Hunter was extremely patient and helpful. We are Android users and connection was a problem, might be helpful to offer key fob entry. Note: new construction everywhere and they start up at 7 a.m. so didn't enjoy that.

Great stay and room. Location is perfect for anyone looking to be in a cool/trendy and fun part of DC. The technology forward approach to hospitality made it very easy and low-touch to just go about our trip.

The building, amenities and unit was beautiful. Love the location! Easy access to the metro which is next door! Union Market is across the street. The only negativity I had was the keyless entry using the app was a bit confusing. Otherwise, I will definitely come back to this place! Thank you!

Everything was exceptional. The apartment style rooms were fabulous. Nice and quiet and great views of the NoMa area. Remember no smoking in the rooms or on the balconies.

Service was the BEST and the rooms were very clean. Some people are full-time residents. It was obvious we were tourists...one gentleman with a well-mannered dog was obviously perturbed and very RUDE we didn't wait for another elevator.
