Hilton Garden Inn Washington, DC/U.S. Capitol

I recently traveled with my two of my daughters (9 and 7) to Myrtle Beach and we ended up staying two nights in DC to explore the main attractions. To be honest, I read a lot of the negative reviews and was pretty torn on staying at this hotel because of them. However, I was very pleased with my experience there. All of the staff were very courteous, polite, and accommodating. They actually upgraded my room when I got there (probably felt bad for me because I was a solo dad traveling with kids😄). The building was very clean and my room was more than adequate and clean. The neighborhood was fine (typical of any downtown city) and we actually walked to the Capitol/National Mall area on our second day. We got food from the Moe’s right around the corner on our last night and Starbucks in the morning. We grabbed groceries at the Harris Teeter on the corner (they had an armed security guard). The parking garage for the hotel is under the hotel and we did the valet without any issues. You can get your car 24 hours a day. My only critique is that I did check the pool and decided not to have the girls swim in it. I have experience maintaining pools and while it wasn’t necessarily “dirty”, it was cloudy and I could not really see the bottom so I passed on that. Might have just been a fluke. Either way, I was very happy with our experience and would recommend staying here and would not read too much into the overly negative reviews. As someone who was in the fence, I was very happy with everything and everything there.

Conveniently located in the NOMA area with restaurants and shops within walking distance. The staff is extremely professional, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The Garden Grill serves delicious Appetizers during happy hour and flavorful meals for lunch and dinner. Huge kudos to the Executive Chef. Bartender Kevon was was delightful and fun to visit after a long day of training. Our team gathered around the bar and service was outstanding. Looking forward to my next stay in DC!

I was able to park in a public parking garage shared with Greyhound and rental cars. The distance from the parking garage to the hotel was a 15 minute walk. It was $25 for 24 hours. I stayed at this hotel because it was close to the venue I was visiting. The echostage is less than an hour hike and very easy navigating.

The room was very clean. The bathroom was updated and nice. I felt very comfortable in this room. The front desk was very accommodating. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and one inside the hotel. They always had water or coffee set out for guests. I would have liked one being just plain water. Not everyone likes fruit or lemon in their water. Sometimes cookies were out for the kids.

Needed a room at 0300 in the morning. Staff were very courteous and understanding. Room was very clean and quiet even for being next to the elevator.

We stayed On Saturday night for the Morgan Wallen concert at fed ex field. Prior to booking the room I called the hotel with a few questions and spoke with Conor who was absolutely amazing from start to finish! He was so nice and so very helpful! Business really need more people like him 10/10 recommend this hotel! Very clean, has pool and hot tub & was able to Uber from the concert to the hotel for only $15. Has restaurants within walking distance. Best experience using Hilton Garden Inn!

Great location 1/2 block to NOMA train station. Hotel was extremely quiet, heard no noises in hallway all night. Great nights sleep.

It’s a Hilton but what makes it for me is how attentive and responsive the staff was. Super friendly! Everyone who I interacted with went the extra mile to make sure I knew what I was doing and comfortable. All the way down to the cleaning folks.

The hotel was clean, sheets were clean and pressed, and a great view of the Capitol area. Walking distance within a block or two to great coffee, dining, and even night life.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The ladies at the front desk were phenomenal. They were very courteous and helpful. I was rushing and left my sunglasses at the front desk and they called up to the room to let me know I had left them and returned them back to me. Thanks Ladies!
My room had the perfect view. I also appreciated that the room has a fridge and a microwave. That was also convenient because there is a Harris Teeter RIGHT next door. I didn't venture too far but there were also plenty of restaurants nearby.
There is a restaurant and room service onsite. But I didn't get to utilize it because when I finally decided to order at around 7 o'clock PM but the kitchen had already closed. (It was Thanksgiving weekend....which is understandable.) I do plan on trying the food on my next visit because I will be going back.

This is the very nice place which close to train station, great food, very nice service with swimming pool and Hot tub.
I love it and our son love it so much that he didn’t even want to go out 😊

Hilton Garden Inn was overall a GREAT place to stay. Not too far from all the historical Monuments, museums, White House, and Capitol. Good Breakfast Buffet to start your day. Everyone from the front desk clerks, the housekeepers and the waitress during the morning buffet (Milira) was the best. Good places to eat around the hotel, with banks and Grocery Store right next door and across the street. Would stay there again when visiting DC.

2nd time staying here and it’s been great both times!! The front desk staff, both Aisha’s, were the best!!!

We traveled to DC by bike from Pittsburgh. Part of the time we camped and we had some rain the last couple of days. All this is to say that when we got to the Hilton Garden Inn our bikes were caked with mud, the little trailer we had was caked with mud, and we weren't so clean either. When I went to check in I was a little nervous about where we were going to put our stuff, especially given how dirty it was. None of this fazed the desk clerk at all. He looked out the window at our bikes and said, "no problem." We also got tremendous assistance from one of the valet parking attendants. He brought us out some rags and a squirt bottle of water and we were able to get ride of the worst of the dirt. He stayed and helped and was just extremely helpful and friendly. We were able to park our bikes in the rather large room and everything was very secure. During our 4 day stay the staff were just extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in DC.

My stay was amazing. My room was spacious and so clean. The front desk was polite, helpful and very professional. Octavia was awesome. She was most helpful because the hotel I had a current reservation for had canceled my reservation and I had to make a reservation here last minute. She provided me the most outstanding customer service possible even with my frustration from the other hotel. Any questions I had was answered and my stay was relaxing. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Customer service here is EXCELLENT. Very friendly staff - extra praise to the office manager, Reina Munoz and guest agent Janay! Hilton - you should recognize this location and their staff, they go above and beyond their call to make guests feel welcomed and comfortable. All hotel/hospitality should take this location as the example for service. The rooms are clean, and quite comfortable and roomy - this hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk from Union Station. I was here for business and I was delightfully surprised for the work space and seating area. I was also happy to learn their fitness center is open 24hrs...with my stay being business in nature - it is difficult for me to get a work out in at most places, due to the limited hours fitness centers are available. 100% recommend the US CAPITOL location. If you want to feel welcomed and comfortable, stay here!

The staff at this hotel is very friendly and made us feel welcome. It is a smaller hotel with a cozy environment. Our room was very clean and had 2 queen beds which were comfortable.
There was a Harris Teeter grocery store next to the hotel and a restaurant in the hotel with several other restaurants in walking condition. If you bring your car, there is valet parking which is $45 a day! There is minimal parking around the hotel. There is an indoor pool and whirlpool. This hotel is next to the metro so there is easy access to all parts of the city. My overall experience of this hotel is a positive one specifically because of the great staff!

The staff of this hotel could not have been friendlier or more helpful - seriously. I cannot rave enough. The hotel is in great condition and clean. The location was a little farther than I thought, however, that is my issue - not theirs. I will stay there again though just because the staff was so fantastic. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay here! Central location to many things and easy access to subway station or rides. Staff was GREAT! They were all so nice and accommodating! I highly recommend this hotel!

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The service was great! My criticism would be that there was no luggage cart available when we arrived, but the staff was so helpful in bringing our things up to the room. There are several places to eat and a grocery store within waking distance. Great place to stay.
