Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The food was out of this world, exactly what Japanese food should have tasted like. The waiters also made us feel amazing, having a good conversation with us and even taught my friends how to use a chopstick. I’d especially recommend the bluefin toro, it melted in my mouth like butter. Pricing wasn’t too bad either, we were 3 and spent around 330$.

It was delicious! We ordered a lot and everything was high quality. My favorite were the beef skewers and the little tacos. The drinks and dessert were also great! Our waiter was very nice too. If you don’t want to overpay but still want to experience Nobu, you should go during happy hours, their prices are more than affordable!

My husband has been wanting to try this place for some time, so I decided to plan a dinner here with friends. We were a party of four and the general consensus was that the food was amazing. We are foodies, we love sushi, sashimi...so we started with high expectations...we were not disappointed, the food was fresh, delicious and had depths of flavor. The server was engaging, and very attentive. I would certainly recommend. In terms of prices, we wanted to try many items so we ordered lots of dishes and shared. Surprisingly after drinks and 8 dishes out total check before grat was only just shy of $600. This place is certainly quality for price.

Nobu was a delightful experience. Though if the waitress came around more often I felt I may have ordered more food. Going into it I knew it as a sushi restaurant but I feel the hot dishes way outshined the sushi. Starting out we were told the yellowtail jalapeno and the crispy rice with spicy tuna were some of their signature dishes. So we got both. The yellowtail was super fresh and light but the crispy rice with spicy tuna was delicious and exceeded my expectations. When it came to sushi we got the tuna, bluefin toro, salmon, smelt egg, tamago, Japanese eel and the shrimp tempura roll. They were all good but nothing blew me away. Though the tamago was so good we got another order of that. Now on to the stars of the show. The miso rosemary lamb was probably the best lamb I have ever had and the best item I had the entire night. Coming in at a close second was the wagyu dumplings. I could eat a whole order by myself. Honorable mentions also include the rock shrimp tempura, squid pasta, salt and pepper squid, and the king krab amazu ponzu. We tried a lot of the menu and there wasn't anything I didn't like. That being said this place is very expensive and portions are like a tapas size.

Traveling for work and was lucky enough to get a seat at the bar for a quick meal and drink. I asked for recommendations on the menu from my bartender, Andre, and he didn’t steer me wrong. I ordered items that I normally wouldn’t…and just wow! The fluke sashimi with miso was wonderful as was the scallop jalapeño. And then the miso Chilean sea bass! Highly recommend and definitely try something new…it’s all amazing!

Outstanding experience. Sushi and service was top notch - true 5/5. We sat at the counter right after work and it was pleasant experience - yellowtail with jalepeno was highlight. Drinks were also great. Nobu DC definitely delivers - if the only compliant is more windows (it has many), you can't really go wrong.

Don’t normally give out 5-star ratings, however, this is one in a lifetime experience. Food was perfect. Service was responsive. Environment was relaxed. Great for a special occasion or impressive dates night.

Food was cooked to perfection. Each dish was made with precision and crafted to our pairing if delicious beverages. All sushi was hand rolled and cut to order. Recommend any rolls provided.

Servers were helpful in providing recommendations and tips for all taste.

Overall this was a captivating experience and I’d recommend booking and going. Be sure to have a reservation more than a week in advance.

Well, I was impressed by the NOBO Washington branch, unlike the others. The food was superb, and so was the service and ambiance. The Wagyu was excellent, and not to forget the tuna caviar, shrimp tempura, and the sushi rolls.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Nobu DC. The food, the service and the ambience were all impeccable! This was my third visit. Every visit has been an amazing experience. My family and friends were all very pleased as well. Try the Chilean Sea Bass. Try as much as you can. The freshness of the food is amazing!

The service was absolutely a dream! The food was phenomenal; the presentations were truly exquisite. I would like to give a special thanks to ZIGGY and Jada, and Eduardo; they made our experience even more special. Thank you for the way you all took care of us; it was such a memorable experience, the management team here should be proud of how well you all represented the NOBU experience.

By far the best dining experience I have ever had. Went with a group of 10 people and our waitress suggested that she pick a sampling of dishes for us based on a few questions she asked. I was a little hesitant at first because I was worried that I may not get something I liked but I was amazed. The jalapeno yellowtail sashimi was off the planet. I had a mocktail with lychee for a drink. Our waitress also brought us a wagyu steak and finished cooking it off at our table with flaming alcohol. I did not end up getting dessert as I was full, but the members in my party that did were quite happy. I get it is pricey but it's well worth it and you will feel catered to the whole time. 10/10.

We went for my daughter’s 17th birthday. It was so good! The wagyu dumplings, salmon teriyaki and caramelized bananas were just spectacular. It was a wonderful evening all the way around. Thank you Nobu!

Enjoyed the omakase for 1 as part of a group dinner. Every dish was delicious though one of my asparagus was a tad woody, I can't wait to come back to try some other dishes.

My girlfriend took me to Nobu for my birthday recently which was an experience. You hear about Nobu in different songs which set a high expectations on quality of food. I assure you they did not disappoint. First, the music playlist for the evening was a blend of Afro Caribbean Artists and pop. I enjoyed it. The food was very flavorful. The serving sizes were moderate but the quality was high.

This was my first time eating at Nobu, and the food was amazing. The small plates threw me off for a second, but the quality and flavor of the food made up for it. I guess it's more about the experience. I tried Wagyu steak for the first time and it blew my mind, so tender and flavorful. Service was great as well, I noticed they don't overwhelm the table with food, but instead bring each dish out separately after you've finished the last. I would definitely recommend as a special occasion experience.

I'm not quite sure how I've been in the DMV for quite some time and hadn't been to Nobu yet. I went for Valentine's Day dinner and my experience was absolutely exquisite. From the Waygu dumplings to the Omokase tasting menu, each dish was well thought out with an assortment of flavors I would have never thought to combine on my own. Our server was professional, courteous and easily accessible. I had an amazing experience and look forward to coming back. 10/10 all around!

I've been there copule of times. It is one of the rare popular places in DC that are not crazy crowded and noisy. If you like A5 wagyu, this is the place, sushi is harmless. friendly and attentive staff. Their desserts are very simple and not sugar loaded. It is great for anniversaries and celebrations. both for business and family meetings and leisure. The feeling is more likely to be closer to the one in LA downtown. Ambiance is calm and not noisy. They don't rush the service. Always call before you go, reservations matters.

Good sushi.
Service isn't as quality as the food.
Having the waiter hand you a little device to put the tip erodes the elegance of the experience.
Having no physical menu for the 25 dollar cocktails is also crazy. How are there no paper menus?
