Enjoyed the tequila flights and the food very much. My whole party (5 of us) all had good things to say above the food and drinks. Would recommend for sure

Recently stumbled upon Tequila & Mezcal and will forever call this place my go-to for Mexican. Love the beer ‘n’bump and the hibiscus/classic margs on their happy hour menu. Definitely try the birria trio platter and the beef tongue… the most tender and tasteful meat you’ll ever have! And you know it’s the best when mama is cooking right next to the bar 👏🏼💕

Had such a great experience. Food was good and very ascetically plated as were drinks. Server was friendly and attentive. Had an issue with one of my tacos and not only did they rectify the situation, they overcompensated to make up for it. I will be back. Dog friendly.

Good food, great service, prices are a little higher than other places in the area, but you're paying for a higher quality meal. The mood lighting could be better, the overhead lights make it feel a bit like a doctor's office. Besides that, great restaurant!

I love this place! You know you’re in the right place when it’s packed on a Sunday and the owners are working hard! Our bartender Marco was magnificent! The drinks were original and absolutely amazing!
The food? We travel the world and this is by far the best food and ambiance to just relax and love DC! Don’t walk here…run!

Great place, nice quiet atmosphere, the food was really good especially the guacamole and chips. My shrimp tacos was good but just felt plain. My best friend had the mixed fajitas and she loved it. The drinks were different but the ones I liked could have been stronger. The one strong drink we got was strong enough but we didn't like the taste of it. Overall would rate this place 9 out 10...and the customer service was on point!

Had a nice dinner at Tequila & Mezcal. Staff was excellent and knowledgeable, suggested a tamarind mezcal cocktail that wasn't on the menu, it was delicious. The three tacos I ordered were also filling and good. My favorite was the Campechanos and the Birria but the octopus was also good. Will look to go back and recommend when in Columbia Heights.

Delicious food and good happy hour. The nachos are yummy! They were so good I forgot to take a picture before we dove in. Has a cute patio for lounging outside in the shade. You could probably bring your dog along to the patio too.

Outstanding! The food is elevated; the space family friendly (my wife and I brought our 9-month old). The staff was kind and easy to flag down when we needed extra napkins for the youngin'

This spot is a great distance from the metro. It's a great spot to start the night before hitting yo ither great spots like Red Derby, Little Coco's and the many great spots in the CoHi area

From the drinks, the food and the staff, everything was perfect!!!
The drinks here are delicious, perfect combination of tequila and fresh ingredients, my favorite was the tamarindo margarita, next is their newest drink la bendición! The food was amazing, and the staff was so welcoming and friendly! We will definitely go back and I will recommend this place to everyone wanting a good drink and Mexican food!

Always a pleasure to dine and drink at Tequila & Mezcal. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Service is quick and all the meats in the dishes are tasty and tender. The portions are generous so bring a friend or friends. The guacamole is delicious as it is prepared at the table. I love to stop in for this lovely dinning experience. Be adventurous and try everything at least once. The food is consistent. A dish not on the menu is Molecajete mixto...it is for 2 or more people and has a nice $$, but well worth it because it serves at least 2 persons. Ask the server. I am glad I live close by so I can walk in and then amble home after a satisfying meal and a few delicious cocktails infused with a variety of mezcal and/or tequila, living up to its name.

Since the moment they opened, I’ve been a fan of their amazing food. I knew they’d be great since they’re owned by the same people who owns Habanero Taqueria. Their service and environment are spotless and their menu elevates Mexican food to more than just amazing tacos. The servers are able to explain every detail of the menu with a kind and generous smile. I go there most Fridays after work and I feel like at home. I hope they have a long life in this community, because they not only have great food and service, but also employ local immigrant Me I can who really honor their culinary heritage. Thank you for being here!

The staff serving us was really professional and nice made a couple of suggestion for food and turned our delicious. Highly recommend visiting thus neighborhood restaurant

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food this is your place. We had are meal brought to us curbside. Let’s talk about the rice and beans, amazing taste when you mix both of them up. HOWEVER, I really wanna talk about the shrimp tacos! The shrimp tacos were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be coming back here for lunch, but I will order a margarita next time!

Great food, great drink selections. I got the steak and chorizo tacos and the house margarita with mezcal. Highly recommend!

First time visiting Tequila & Mezcal with my friends. We had a great time. Their food was delicious and the drinks were great too (very refreshing).

From the owners of Taqueria Habanero, this place is just as delicious. They focus more on plates than tacos but still have taco options available. Love the chicken mole tacos, and is so far the only place I've had mole where it is actaully spicy. They have a few different drinks and I had the burro Loco, very tasty. Overall portions are good and food is delicious. Be sure to try and get in early as it can get crowded

Highly recommended especially if you want to try different mezcal options. Delicious food and great service.
