Angry Marlin Restaurant & Cool Water Bar

We had dinner here one night while on vacation and happened to have met the owner while we were there. Turns out he is from our hometown. “Burque”
Food here is delicious with a NM flair to it. Definitely try this place out.
Had really good drinks later outside on the patio where there was a live band playing. Very fun place.

I thoroughly enjoyed the mahi mahi fish & chips, and ordered a side of coconut shrimp with a Pina colada dipping sauce. The coconut shrimp was bar-none the best I've ever had. Surprisingly, the Pina colada sauce was a perfect combination. The fish & chips were firm and had great flavor. I was really impressed with the service. I showed up at 6pm on a Friday and seated immediately, drink order in less than 5 minutes, and my food arrived hot in less than 20 minutes.
The outside is a wonderful "Island village" ambiance, with plenty of diverse and artful nooks to sit in, and very kid friendly. They have a cozy indoor bar as well as a comfortable outside bar.
If you're looking for great food, excellent service, and a place to enjoy yourself, you can't go wrong here.

The waitress was some of the most attentive and best I’ve had, super polite and kind. They got my burger wrong at first but she fixed it quickly and it was no big deal, gave us two great drinks and shots. And the burgers were AMAZING. Idk the waitresses name but it was a blonde girl with server number 1485. She did amazing!

The food was fresh and hot and seasoned. The service is friendly and fast. Prices were decent. The dining room and patio areas are separate from the bar area. I'll be coming back again and again so I can try all of the food selections!

Great service, food is really good and the relaxed atmosphere makes this place a gem.

Came to the marlin with my family.had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely amazing especially the burgers. Never going to another burger place again because the marlin sells the best burgers. All the servers and bartenders did fantastic . Definitely coming back

Family dinner with 5 adults. We had chicken wings, Pueblo fry bread , fried shrimp, amberjack. Our server: Becca was simply outstanding friendly, laughed at our jokes, a fine young Lady. Full bar, good selection of draft beers, fun atmosphere both inside and out. Happy hour in outside bar. GO TO THIS RESTRAUNT ❤👌🍺

My wife and I had just left PIMS after watching the sunset, and we decided to stop at the closest place that had decent reviews. We weren't disappointed!

We went at 2pm, after any lunch rush. The service was quick, and the food was fantastic. We really enjoyed everything! We ordered the cod fish tacos, honey mustard chicken sandwich, Ruben and the enchiladas. We were happy to try this restaurant during our visit to Corpus Christi!

staff is super sweet and amazing. food is super tasty and overall just a good place to have a meal if your on the island 100% 10/10 great job on everything.

This spot is awesome! Nice, chill, casual and relaxing. We got the oysters and fish and chips. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Our sever, Cara, was so great and patient. They offer indoor and outdoor eating. After dinner, we decided to stay to hear the live music. The bartenders were awesome (I forgot to get their names). I would definitely recommend this place if you’re on the island.

We ate here the last evening of our vacation. We had gone to a number of places to eat and every single one was disappointing. Being in restaurants for 20 years I chalked it up to post memorial day fatigue and reopening issues from the lockdown.

So that all being said we stopped at Angry Marlin pretty critical of anything.

Service was on 100% on point. If our waitress was not there somebody was. Amazing team service dynamic.

Food was amazing. Best meal we had the entire time we were in town.

The only disappointment I had during the entire experience was that I didnt have time to tell the owner or manager what a great job the staff did. Family was tired and cranky and want to go home.

Not only was the food and atmosphere great but our waiter Chloe gave us the best service ever. I would 100% recommend going here when you are on vacation or live nearby.

The food here was soo beyond any expectations. The fish and chips were large portions, piping hot and topped with a great sauce and corn mix. Everything down to the absurdly large cut fries were fantastic. Definitely eating here every time we come by.

What a great place!!!! Food is awesome! Fresh! The sauce for calamari is one of the best I ever tried, the tacos are real size tacos 🙂 best of all they are super friendly great place and dog friendly!! This makes is a place that you must visit if you travel with your dogs

Today, I had the Mahi Mahi fish tacos for the first time. I've always eaten dinner there so I never saw this menu item which is lunch only. They were great! Largest fish tacos I've seen in a restaurant!

Good fish tacos and reasonable prices. Don't miss the bread pudding with Carmel sauce. Loved the atmosphere.

The Angry Marlin is one of your last stops before hitting the beach at Padre Island National Seashore, and a great place to stop for a drink or bite. Clean. Friendly crew. Plenty of interesting things on the menu. Remember you are on island time, so don’t be in a hurry. Grab a cold one or two and enjoy the patio or beer garden while you wait.

Lunch on a cold and dreary day...clam chowder was delicious ( i had the soup and salad). Hubby had the blackened Ahi..he Loved it. Chose to eat at the bar with other diners - mojito with homemade pinneapple infused bar mix was also delicious!

Had the red fish, my parents had Indian taco and Texas burger and couple beers and blue corn onion rings off the Happy hour. Our waitress was super sweet;)
