The gentleman who helped me check in was super nice and knowledgeable. He gave me a brand new van. Return was very easy as well.

My experience with the staff here was very refreshing. During this transition in my life, i needed staff who were helpful, and attentive. Thank you lawrece, and Nas, just to name a couple of the great staff who made sure i received exemplary customer service 👍🏽

I used this UHaul location for on-site storage, multiple truck and equipment rentals, and to purchase moving supplies. The storage area is pristinely clean (as of Summer 2023). They have a well-stocked inventory of products at all times, and they take good care of their trucks and vans. The staff is helpful and capable, and manager Wayne is very present and always looking for ways to help folks. The team was willing and knowledgable in helping us shift reservations as our plans changed, and were impressively budget conscious - only ever suggesting what we actually needed. I highly recommend using this location for moving or storage.

Excellent customer service-for both storage and vehicle rental. They are organized, kind, tidy, helpful, and they manage the site well. Moving and storage is HARD. They try to make it easier. The site is clean, safe, well run, and they are consistently very responsive and helpful. Payton was particularly helpful on a day of moving. Capitol Hill DC location is a well run site.

I used mobile checkout, and the interactions with staff on rental and return were pleasant and efficient.

I went back on December 15, and they are even better. George, the manager, is superb.

The staff made getting in and out extremely easy, and they went above and beyond to be sure I was good to go. Highly recommend these folks get a raise

I was a bit worried using this U-Haul given the negative reviews about wait times, etc. I showed up pretty early to my reservation in fears that I'd be stuck there for 45 minutes or so, but I had no issues at all. Everything was simple and seamless. No issues.

Naz, Myah, and the entire staff at this U-Haul location were awesome! Helpful, attentive and professional, they provided excellent customer service. They were also kind and personable and just great to work with. Definitely recommend this location!

Great customer service. I would have love if they to move faster, but they took extreme care when handling my item. As a single female i felt safe and was treated with respect. I will recommend them to friends and coworkers.

I think you guys need to continue to hire great employees at the front desk. I had a great experience with the ladies at the front desk who helped me. They were so kind and respectful. They answered all my questions about renting a truck and how to return it. I had the best experience at this location because of the customer service those ladies showed. They really made my day.

I had an excellent experience here. A representative, probably a manager, at this location, really helped me through a problem caused by my own mistake. The van I rented was in great shape. I would recommend this location to anyone. The after hours return process had a lot of steps, but it was pretty easy and straightforward.

It was very quick and easy! I decided to go on a whim, and was excited to be driving away in my rental truck within ~20 minutes. Staff were friendly and helpful. I liked that I was able to complete the return process on my phone, and the location was convenient for me.

Worked well but it has 140,000 miles on it. Glad I didn't have to go far.

U-Haul should make it clear that the mobile pick-up option requires an approval process, in which the customer must wait for approval to rent via an online service that verifies the customer's driver's license and may ultimately call the "additional contacts" that the customer lists to verify identity/responsibility before the keys to the U-Haul truck can be obtained. I waited in the parking lot watching the mobile app pinwheel for about 20 minutes before I could get the keys to my truck. Even once I was "approved" and got the keys to my assigned truck, the customer in the truck in front of me was not yet "approved" so I had to wait additional time. Eventually the U-Haul employees helped move this truck out of the way for me, but only once I waited for another 5 minutes and then complained inside. This experience was quite frustrating and unexpected. Because the "approval" process cannot begin until you are in the parking lot (or within a certain GPS range) and within few minutes of the beginning of the rental period, I was not aware of this 20+ minute process until I was already running behind schedule. I selected 9:30am as my pick-up time and arrived at 9:20, thinking I could leave the lot by at least 9:45, as I had scheduled a reservation with my building's freight elevator beginning at 10am. I did not pull out of the U-Haul parking lot until 9:55, which was not anticipated or factored into my moving plan for the day. The truck itself as well as the staff inside the U-Haul retail store were all up to my expectations. Just was quite frustrated by the extra time wasted standing in the parking lot with no idea how long it might be until I could get the keys and head out. Not the most stress-free way to begin moving day! Otherwise, the equipment was great and the truck fit all of my stuff. I will certainly use U-Haul again in the future, but be sure to allow for more time for issues like online approval and getting blocked in the parking lot.

Convenient, painless, and well priced. I had a lot of things go wrong with my move and a lot of unnecessary stress, my moving van rental was the easiest part of my whole house-hunt and move.

Reserved my van online with less than 1-hour notice, filled all my info. Place is only a few blocks from the Union Station metro. Checking out the van took less than 10 minutes, the girl at the desk and the guy at the lot were friendly and helpful. "You're renting the van for 4 hours, but we close in 3 hours, so just park it at the lot before 7:00am, so you basically have 15 hours, but no extra charge." They knew the answer to all my questions, and the guy from the lot ran over to the office to pick up the keys when I forgot to take them.

Van was clean and well-maintained, drove very well. Fit all of my stuff (studio apt) with room to spare. Drop off at the end was easy and fast, park the van and put the key in the drop box.

Whole thing cost me about $50 ($20 for van, $11 insurance, $7 dolly rental, ~$10 for gas).

This place suited all my needs efficiently and at an excellent price.

We used these guys this weekend for just a van rental. But we gave them only a day and a half warning that we needed the van and not only were they on it but every single person we dealt with was incredibly nice and friendly. Even the two or three that we never even dealt with directly said hello, offered assistance, and were just in a generally very welcoming, happy mood. It really started and ended what is frequently a stressful day for people off right.
